This game came out when I was 16 or 14 I was about to move to another city with my father we were about to leave when I ask my father to stop at a videogame store as I wanted to trade my Prince of Persia copy for a new game, then I saw it. Sitting on a shelf an used copy of this game. The disk was scratched. But I picked the game immediatly I knew the saga since AC3. I spend the whole journey reading the book watching the cover. I put it on my ps2 as soon as I arrived to my new home. God I was not ready, the first missions were amazing, the music, the intro, the cave escape it hooked me immediatly. Then the tragedy, The stadium battle, the Sea of Chaos mission the final Solg mission. I had never had anything like this before. For a moment nothing else mattered not my parents divorce or leaving behind my old city for a moment I was part of the "Demons of Razgriz Squad" and I was the best pilot of all Strangereal. This game bringed joy to my life when i needed it most. God bless BandaiNamco for this!

Part of the reason why I love Unsung War was I COULD ACTUALLY TALK AND REPLY TO MY WINGMEN. Which made losing Chopper even more impactful. As good as the newer AC I didn't like how I'm now a mute pilot not replying to questions or genuine conversations by my crew or officers. The simple yes/no replies made all the difference in making AC5 my top fave.

That's the mantra I used every day to break out of a 13 year opioid abuse bender. The first year was actual-hell. Couldn't make my own dopamine or serotonin; literally could not feel happiness, excitement or anything. I had to rely on music, such as Ace Combat OSTs to help me struggle through that nigh-endless nightmare. Clean since Jan 29th 2019. @@FFXI_Addict I'm a trans woman and I transitioned at 31. I didn't have a happy childhood... My parents divorced. My mother was borderline and had PTSD from horrible abuse, and my father was largely absent. She passed some of that abuse onto me, which I don't blame her for, but the dysfunctional childhood and dysphoria led to me being a not very functional adult, developing major depression and being too mentally unstable to go to college. Like you, I didn't see any light at the end of the tunnel, working dead end jobs and moving from one unstable rooming situation to another until one day I hit the absolute rock bottom... It was transition or die. I left for the city in a car that I knew was going to die and got fired from two jobs in one year, nearly became homeless, but kept pushing. Today I am a bus driver with nearly three years of experience, have my own one bedroom apartment and have been transitioning for three years... Been clean for 3.5 years now, and when I need a "pick yourself back up" song, I've been coming to this for a while now. Thank you. I see you used this mix to become a pilot. That's the first thing I ever wanted to be as a child. One of my first cognitive thoughts, as a wee one, looking up at steel soaring through the skies. I wanted to do that more than anything. Trying to learn to sing this in Latin to make my brother proud. Among the few things we have bonded over, it is the Ace Combat series that is the most prominent and most recent. We're on two opposite side of the autistic spectrum, we seldom find things we both enjoy - he likes Cars, building functioning engines out of kennex and shonen anime, I prefer writing, dark fantasy anime and watching KZbin - and we both find it difficult to find something we both equally love together. Ace Combat has given us many opportunities to laugh, cry and cheer with its amazing visuals, beautiful yet confusing storyline and the god-teir soundtrack that still gives me goosebumps after listening to it on repeat for the past few months. What I'm trying to say is, thank you for the on screen lyrics. It's making my learning journey just that bit easier.

All my life, I was a shut-in due to a poor childhood. At 31 years old, I finally started working out. To improve myself. This song is what motivates me. I want to be someone who could make Chopper proud. So thank you... Buddy.

Chills! One of only two games that brought tears of joy as a kid. I still love this game and enjoy how devoted fans of this game and to the series are. I must play this again... I'll start with 4 as Mobius 1 first.

I haven't played either game (yet) but this theme is stuck in repeat in my head. I've only played 7, so I think it's time™ to try.

Christ, I can help but reminisce on the past when hearing this gem, quite literally my childhood in audio form. Now I live trough greatly troubled times in my life and this gives me great comfort even if I’m down in the mud. Thank you Project Aces.

I think you're correct. In most games, the theme is the same: A previously malevolent force rises to meet a greater evil, becoming immortalized as a hero in its final moments.

This is a very good piece, but I feel like it has the ability to be enhanced further. Said enhancements would be the transitions, some not being the smoothest. Rather than that, wonderful job.

The war history ... Never record ... The pilots who fought in it .. They are the unsung heros .. Their names ... Were never stated .. The unsung war .. Was lost to time .. The people who fought in it .. All have passed on .. The enemies .. They recalled the demons .. Who took flight once .. - sighs - there were never any records ... So who to say the war happened ?

I have loved the series since the beginning, yet there is no defining moment so beautiful as coming together to stop the fires of war on the winds of hope. Rest in peace Chopper, Wardog will not falter.

Picks up a old helmet with the razgriz emblem - ... it's been a long time - puts it in a backpack and walks out of the building looking around the base - .. it was here we took flight ... we laughed ... we cried .. and now - sighs - the war is over for we are the unsung heros of it .. our legacy never written.. our names never spoken ... - walks to a black jet - even if our Blacken wings are sealed but one day we will one day take to the sky's once more .. to keep hope alive

I remember when this game came out I was riveted to the story following wardog squadron..and then Razgriz..it felt surreal when ace combat 7 came out with the razgriz f-14..I felt like I was reunited with an old friend, the stories my plane could tell if it could talk. From st hewletts port and blasting off the kestrel to the razgriz straights with nagasei and now I’m taking on erusea
