Welcome to our re-enactment of the daring escape of Donald MacBean following the Battle of Killiecrankie.
On July 27th, 1689, the Jacobite forces under the command of John Graham of Claverhouse clashed with government troops in the hills of Perthshire, Scotland. The battle was a brutal and bloody affair, and in the end, the Jacobites emerged victorious. However, among the wounded and captured was a young piper named Donald MacBean.
In our re-enactment, we will follow in MacBean's footsteps as he makes his daring escape from the government troops. With a keen ear for the sounds of the surrounding landscape, MacBean will use his knowledge of the terrain and his musical talents to evade capture and make his way back to the Jacobite lines.
