Please do some investigation on the so-called "alien" issues, this subject needs to be broken open for the Church in general.

13:42 Very true. I’m a Presbyterian by temperament but it’s something of a hollow existence to be “living in your head” or just exchanging ideas. There’s something challenging about meeting someone who maybe isn’t as book-smart as you but is obviously leading a more enchanted life. I get the sense in those circumstances that I might not be necessarily better off than them for having spent all my time seeking endless knowledge.

Oh my goodness, I'm going to have to make an appointment with Fr. Dan Reehil for an exorcism after watching that opening sequence. YIKES! Great music though. It's rare that I find someone who I agree with nearly 100%, but Rod Dreher is one of those folks. God bless you for having him on your channel.

I want to plant the seed now: The Chicago event Chad in planning in Summer of 2025, you need to get your boy Rod to be a speaker. Chicago is a really good location for an epic sized event given it's centrality and easy access as a major hub. John Vandonk agrees with me, and 100% put me up to this.

Very interesting conversation. There does seem to be something in the Zeitgeist regarding the return of Christianity but certainly a renewed interest in religion more generally in the west. I come to you via PVK and wish you success with your channel and look forward to future episodes

As a missionary in Zambia and India for some years I think the Western church could learn a lot from African Pentecostals who have been dealing with the dark side for decades with much authority. Find yourself a Nigerian Church close to your home and be humble enough to learn a little.

13:55 I frame this idea-centric vs. Phenomenological-centric way of thinking as confusing yourself for the arena when you are, in fact, just the agent.

Special experiences aren't necessary, nor so called miracles. Just trust that G-d is always present in your ordinary life ;-). You are the magic!

Father Carlos Martins was the first person I heard sincerely and lucidly speak about spirits in a way which both broke with everything I understood at the time and allowed me to entertain the idea. It was in the twenty teens and I just wasn't at a place where I could fully appreciate what was being said and yet it struck me as worth consideration and I filed it away for a later date. Now, some 10 years later, his words have settled in a different way. For your consideration: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2nTmGernM-Apacsi=cBhQSu7_9SCEZaPh

55:45 Rod, read Ambiguum 20 from St. Maximus. You are mistaken if you think that the nature/grace distinction originates with St. Thomas. And the distinction that St. Maximus makes is much stronger than the one St. Thomas would make after him.

We only have one verb meaning "to know" in English? Let's see. Apprehend. Cognize. Comprehend. Discern. Fathom. Grasp. Understand. Master. As well as more obscure terms like "grok." This dude is a writer?
