I’m 53, when I grew up I was taught that it was my right to protect my vote. I didn’t share my vote with anyone, until the past 8 years with my mother. I’m a registered Democrat and never had any want, to really understand politics. I know better now. My son tried to get me to share who I voted for , when Trump first ran, he was having a nervous breakdown because Trump being president would end life as we know it🤦‍♀️ Here we are in 2024 worse off than before. I wish I could go back and homeschool him because he was taught things in school that were not for the school to teach. They were pushing that if you didn’t vote Democrat then it would ruin our country. He was also taught what Trans was. He is now a non binary identifying as , I don’t know🤦‍♀️ I just don’t understand because my whole generation was taught that labels aren’t good. Here we’re are in 2024 with more labels than necessary 🤷🏼‍♀️I will be switching to Independent or Republican and praying for my son that I support no matter what 💖

Ronald Regan Was President in 1980 when I was 10 years old and growing under a Dictatorship in Guyana, South America. Ronald Regan & America Represented A Beacon Of Hope of What it would be like to live in Freedom & Democracy I found my political Awakening during his presidency and he truly inspired me to become a Republican/ Conservative. He along with George Bush, Margaret Thatcher and Brian Mulroney were the great leaders of my lifetime. Their Caliber are unmatched and sadly lacking in our leaders today. 19:45

I watched the conversation Mr Quaid had with Joe Rogan a few days ago so when I saw the Hebrew Hammer was also due to interview him, I reserved my seat instantly. I did not realise Dennis Quaid was that rarity - a decent Hollywood type. I can only think of 2 others - John Wayne and Charlton Heston - plus, possibly, Jon Voight. All is not lost, people! Although I'm a limey living in a second world nation that arrogantly calls itself 'Great' Britain, it is what happens in America that is important because it affects the rest of the world. The USA is still the greatest nation there has ever been and it enrages me to watch these new ultra-left wing Democrat Party types try to ruin it.

I got to "campaign" for President Reagan, gave out lapel buttons that say REAGAN for President, handed them out on the playground in 5th grade for his first term. My parents had a huge Reagan for President poster up in the garage, it was there for decades. My only fundraising dinner was for him, it was just so fun and upbeat, even the cold beans & cornbread tasted good. I still have two Reagan pins, no one has talked me out of them yet! I like Trump because he makes both sides angry as far as the establishment because he has established republicans that don’t like him, establishment democrats that don’t like him. To me if you’re making the establishment on both sides angry that’s the guy worth voting for in my opinion. Donald Trump is running for the people of the United States of America instead of the establishment politicians in my opinion. Ronald Reagan is one of our greatest presidents in the history of our country. You don’t have to like the man but his policies are great for the country and Kamala is a continuation of far left policies that will destroy the country for future generations.

I turned 18 in 1980 voted Reagan and joined the military, I left for basic in Nov of 80 Carter was still president and the military was embarrassing if we’re being honest. By 82 you were either with the program, the fat bodies were being addressed it was a remarkable turnaround….something I’ve never been able to square if you will was his involvement in smuggling tons of cocaine into our country fueling the crack epidemic of the 80’s…he was spending the money….i was in Central America in 83 this is when I first heard of Mena Arkansas…made no sense to me at the time but it stuck in my head because it wasn’t normal imo …anyway years later everything made sense…Reagan was great if you’re alright with the cocaine and he also granted amnesty to every illegal in the country…nothing is simple
@TheBTG88
@TheBTG88 24 күн бұрын
The amnesty was a deal with the Democrats, who controlled Congress, in exchange for stronger border protection and funding. Needless to say, the Democrats reneged on their side of the agreement. Reagan later said that this was one of the greatest regrets of his presidency.

My understanding is that Regan was a strong leader. He had a real presence unlike some presidents. But he also spent a fortune (though that was set into motion in the 60s) and he left the mentally ill to largely fend for themselves.

The Democrats championed the mass closure of the mental sanatoriums across the country behind the idea of ‘mainstreaming’ those with mental illness. The theory was that integrating patients into society would somehow cure them through this exposure. In the years since, we see that this is not the case.

The guy who talks about America as a failed state? He doesn't believe in America, he wants to tear it down and revels in any failure if someone else than him caused it (and of course forgets about any failures of his). That's not a leader worth believing in. The optimism in the current DNC is a stark contrast to this. Vote blue.

You get the very best and spot on facts and ask thought provoking and unbiased questions that help listeners like myself better understand the complex forces driving our world today. More importantly, thank you for recommending Mary Callahan Erdoes Services my investment portfolio with her has been quite sustaining

As a Progressive liberal. Exactly. And LBJ and FDR. Carter on balance was actually very good. its just that he was a one term wonder. But other than Iran-Contra situation he laid the foundations for 90's-00 left wing-Liberalism. So its more divided options on our side.

It's a shame we didn't get a real chance to see what a full term of JFK, possibly 2, would've been like. He really wasn't for Nam escalation, he was tough on the Soviets, he was working towards black equality, but beyond that, we don't really know.

I saw this movie ad the other day and was so worried that it was going to be the Hollywood negative take on Reagan. I just saw this video and literally sighed in relief as if I had been holding a breath that I didn't know I'd been holding. Dennis Quaid has a lot of great roles he has played over the years, but one he didn't mention perhaps it was because it wasn't a big movie. Enemy Mine with Lou Gossett is a low budget Sci-fi, but I own it.

Jesus is literally an allegory for the sun. Look at all the dates of the death, resurrection, precession, etc... and then look at the changes of seasons and the precession of the sun, and it'll all make sense. In fact, all of the characters of the Bible are astrological signs i.e. star constellations and planets, etc..., all of whom are holdovers from their pagan beginnings. All that said, the stories and parables are great lessons and words to live by, but as a whole, the Bible and basically all of the worlds religions are just farmers almanacs and astrological calendars. It's a beautiful thing really.

First saw him in a movie that a lot of people can learn a thing or two from. Enemy Mine, based on a Barry Longyear's book by the same name. And while I prefer book generally for the better ending, movie is still letting the idea come across well - in the face of adversity, pain and misery shared between the two warring folks, unity and working towards mutual benefit, so that you really learn - difference may be a matter of looks, but never the of personality and character that you're imbued with. No one is worse for looking different. It's who we are and what we do what matters. Thanks for all the work you've done Dennis, you're a superb human being. Also, ngl, him in the "A Dog's..." dilogy really breaks me every time.
