Hey Michael, you are the greatest! I'm a food junkie, and I try to catch everybody's food reviews on KZbin; but most of them are irrelevant for the common man, or absolute jokes. The Phantom Gourmet, probably the oldest restaurant review site in the Boston area, is nothing more than a running infomercial for those they visit, and are completely untrustworthy. I also have to laugh at some of the other reviewers on this platform that go to a fancy restaurant, pay $150 for a lunch and "enjoy" three courses of a total amount of food that wouldn't fill up a canary. You deal with real food, and tell it like it is! Keep up your informative and entertaining posts. We really enjoy them! Chris

I've been trying to place your specific Boston accent for a while, and it turns out you're from Edgeworth?! Wow, I'm from Bellrock park and it's amazing that accents can be different even within cities. My goto growing up was Santoro's in Malden square. My whole childhood the same two angry Italian guys slinging delicious steak and cheeses and it was great. Enjoying the reviews and I hope you get back to fried seafood dinners in the warmer weather.

Great review, still looking for the best cheesesteak in Daytona! As for "dreamin of big dreams that basically never came true", it took me some time, but I finally escaped from Mass and made things happen!

Super Sub in Beverly will be hard to beat. Been eating their mushroom cheesesteak for 50 yrs. Haven't had a bad one yet. Great fries too.

Did some house painting up the street from there in the mid 90s, they had the best chicken parm I sub until today I ever had!!! I remember a Chinese place down the street that had a mean lunchtime special to!!!!

Wow thats too bad I used to live in/own the house right behind the Big A in the 90s and it was the Big A for subs, Pisa Pzza for slices, and I cant remember the name of the Chinese food place but they were all right there, cool neighborhood back then!

This place has gone way downhill over the years. When Nick ran it way back in the day it was awesome. They did have the best chicken parm back in the day. The clowns working there now just trying to make $$$$$. Have no clue about the food preparation like it was back in the day here. Leone's on Somerville and Bob's in Medford blows this place away.
