The real cause of death of Henry viii
In today’s society we talk a lot about the Tudor dynasty and how it lasted nearly a century and a quarter, but something that is not often spoken about is the death of a certain king. Instead we hear about how I’m he was a tyrant. A man who had six wives. Changed the face of religion and a man who had lots of people executed, including two of his said wives.
Henry came to power in 1509 after the death of his father. He was big to be king but his elder brother died previously meaning that the like of succession fell to him.
Henry initially was thought to have been a rather handsome man who was tall in stature with a very athletic body. He had a great ability for sport such as horse riding and jousting aswell as being known for his strength.
But when the time came for Henry’s death he was something of a shadow of the man he used to be. His waist had more than doubled in size, measuring at a staggering 53 inches and as he declined in health his physical appearance also deminished. Some would even say that Henry’s failing appearance and his short temper went hand in hand with the fate of his wives.
In today’s video we are looking at the fate of the once king of England and especially what happened upon his death in the 28th of January 1547. Henry left behind an England that was so very different to what he ascended the throne to. England was a changed nation in many senses. Especially regarding the fate of the church.
Henry VIII made his mark on the country, and today he’s remembered as England’s most famous King, however join us today as we look at the death of Henry VIII.

The history of the Tudors is more contorted and knotted than a grapevine, starting with the venal and miserly Henry VII's killing of Richard III, and during Henry VIII's reign, the futile attempts to produce a male heir which resulted in much death and misery. Ironically, it was the two females who succeeded him, and the dynasty died out anyway. "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity!"

After turning to binge eating for comfort after his jousting accident and being over 400 lbs at the time, he probably died from a combination of heart failure and complications of diabetes. Sadly, we will just have to make up our own minds as we will never know the exact cause.

When I started working for a health services company as a receptionist I was required (as all employees were) to take an instructional course on TBI (traumatic brain injuries). I learned a lot about how a TBI can affect a person in all aspects and learned a lot about the support they require (with memory, communication, emotion, etc.) I think everyone should learn about how TBI affects the brain. It’s one of the most informative things I’ve learned about that still affect people today. Car accidents, for example. I am in no place to diagnose King Henry VIII, as it’s not right to diagnose anybody without qualification (let alone somebody who is no longer alive), but I do believe all signs point to him having sustained a TBI and I do believe it affected nearly every choice he made from then onwards. If only people better understood the brain in those times. Henry’s reign could have been drastically different.

Well what about what he did to Catherine and his daughter Mary banning them from each other? In some ways that was even worse than what he did to Anne which is still horrible I am in no way dismissing it I believe God made him pay or is as we speak still making him pay for all of his sins especially to those close to him his wives and children Edward including he never truly loved that boy he used him and probably did work the boy to death . That accident happened when he was married to Anne Boleyn sorry I think he was always a Psychopathic Narcissist Jerk under the surface whom if you did not do as he wanted he made you pay dearly the only reason Catherine of Aragon survived was she was a Spanish Princess and killing her would have started a war with Spain he treated her an his 1st daughter like they were crap on the bottom of his shoes then of course Anne failed to keep a an impossible promise to give him a son she had no power over that happening anymore than his first wife did that was the core reason he justified her murder there were other even stupider selfish reasons he was the king of selfish all the health problems later on is called him reaping what he had sowed and we haven't even got to what he did to the poor Howard girl yet she was no harm to him an I do not believe he was in love or crushed by her betrayal he was embarrassed by the rumors which most could have easily been twisted to make her look worse when she was a victim to at least Mannix if not more and also the men that confessed were they not tortured? Catherine Howard never got a trial either Anne did but he was that way with Anne because fo their daughter he had to try to appear merciful to Anne because one day Elizabeth would come to know what he had done if it were me and he had lived till I was Queen I would have let him rot in the tower for doing that to my mother . Henry did not ever do anything out of mercy for others he did it to make himself look less bad his ego was the size of his stomach or bigger sory for the long rant LOL

I don't think he captivates people today as much as his wives do. Particularly Anne Boleyn and Catherine of Aragon. He as a King is only memorable by his sexual conquest and soulless killing of even those closest to him. What a legacy to leave behind. He was a pathetic man for the better part of his adult life and he just may have become a monster after the head injury as they can cause a change in personality. I'm surprised the man lived until he was 55, to be honest. He had a raging infection in his leg that stunk of death for all the rotted flesh and continual lancings his doctors performed. That alone should have killed him. But the tonics they gave him to fight the infection kept him going longer than he would have otherwise. There was no cure for septicemia in those days. I honestly believe he sank into madness once he executed Anne Boleyn and less than 2 years later his replacement Jane Seymour died after childbirth... being Henry was a man who was extremely superstitious and thought God was punishing him for various things he had done. He locked himself away for 2 years not allowing anyway accept his doctor to visit while he rewrote Biblical Scripture saying God had given him the words. He even rewrote The Lords Prayer. The same one Christians use today. He had a lot to atone for in the end. But Kings and Queens often believed they were holy anointed by God to rule and therefore exempt from punishment for their sins.

Anne B I am also captivated or angered rather by Catherine Howard's story and treatment. She was a kid and he tried to erase her from history because his ego could not take the allegations most of which who knows what really happened he poured Lye or limestone on her body and she did not even get a proper grave the way Anne did again he did this not because he loved Anne but I believe to save Face when his daughter grew older. Catherine did not even get a trial

Given the first child, Mary, of Catherine of Aragon survived while numerous miscarriages and stillbirths followed, Anne Boleyn's first child, Elizabeth, survived followed by miscarriages and stillbirths, Jane Seymour delivered a first child, Edward, who survived, however, died before further pregnancies. Could this have been Rh factor? Reports describe Henry have a persisten body odor, rather a stench, emanating from King Henry VIII's long suppurating wounds (fistula?).

The more realistic explanation is that the coffin, for whatever reason, began to leak blood and bodily fluids. The workmen who were called upon to reseal the coffin before it continued its public journey, witnessed dogs licking up the blood that had dripped onto the floor. - Now William the Conqueror's body did explode due to priest trying to shove him into stone.

It took them two weeks before they buried him at Windsor. She said that he was embalmed and I’m sure it’s not like embalming today. This used to be commonly believed, but the evidence does not hold up. If he had syphilis, the symptoms would have been more pronounced, ad the disease was more virulent back then; none of his women, wives or not, were ever reported to have the ailment. I saw a documentary a few years back that speculated he had Type 1 diabetes; all his circumstances fall into place on this assumption. A recurring wound that would just never heal, fertility problems, likely small strokes, limited longevity.

He's not laid to rest at St Paul's Cathedral but at Windsor with Jane Seymour. Guess this has already been commented on...sorry if it has. Think this vid info is a bit iffy.

For someone who caused soo much death & destruction within his own country, i fear his illnesses were neither painful or long enough. It seems fitting his remains lay in a cold damp place without care or consideration, but in memory of the Tyrant he became.

Although it is his daughter Mary that is known as "bloody", her actions were nothing in comparison to the persecution and killing of Roman Catholics by Henry and his other offspring Edward and Elizabeth.

Ok... according to contemporary writers at the time, Henry was NOT unconscious for hours. This claim came years later by people who weren't even there when the fall occurred. And it has never been shown in an contemporary writings that his personality changed afterwards. Again, this claim comes much later.

Did Henry VIII invent or greatly modify the game of tennis? Was he responsible for the popularity of tennis and public tennis courts to this day? I would presume that tennis would have become his interest while he was young and athletic, before he became semi-invalid.

As Henry's health declined, he became more unstable and autocratic. His reign illustrates why no one should remain in power beyond a set time period. No king, no president for life. And No His Royal Highness Donald I of Trump !

he was surrounded by grasping and over-ambitious courtiers. earlier in his reign he had left govt business to the likes of Wolsely and Cromwell.. but they were gone - thanks to plotting nobles, jealous of their influence and power.. Henry realised late in life that he'd removed his best servants. the Seymours were in power and controlling everything , even after Jane's death. he had good reason for paranoia.. and he had no friends with the death of Suffolk. .
