Great video(s) and very informative. Watched both of them couple times before ordering my 1F. The spreadsheet sheet is great and really appreciate the links.

@@cyberreefguru The elite series looks pretty amazing, but I figured I should start small (kinda) with the x50 woodworker. Plus I needed a few other tools to get the shop up and running. 😁

Wow, really excellent video on a very important topic. I like how you show the range of options as this is very much a hobby where you can go from a basic functioning 1f all the way to a very elaborate system. I'm looking forward to Part II.

@11:40... what type of bit was that? an up WHAT? 😱 some minor over dubbing may be required to keep this family friendly if I heard that right lol.

I have ordered my first cnc (1F x-50 woodworker) just waiting for shipping so I enjoy learning from your channel. Can you provide a link to the bits from ebay please, I know i will break some while i learn that getting bits that are affordable but that could also last and preform decently is something I am struggling with right now. Thanks for the great video!

Hi Brian - all the bits are linked in the spreadsheet. I will add some to the video description as well. Thanks for watching!

@@cyberreefguru Sorry I was not clear - I was wondering the seller info or something that can get me to the same bits you are happy with, the links in your bit video and on the spreadsheet that go to ebay all come back with "oops page not found"

@Brian Smith Hi Brian - I just tried and they seem to be working for me - perhaps an antivirus or ad blocker on your side? Anyway, the seller is Drillman1. I'll put the direct links in the description - let me know if they work for you. Thanks!

@@cyberreefguru You are correct sir. Tried to open in Firefox and always failed, tried in Edge and it work (though out of stock but ill keep checking back). I think the issue is that I run like 3 privacy addons and somehow one or more is keeping it from connecting. I will use Edge and your links to purchase once in stock so your referral will count. Great videos and I hope to see more since I have nothing but time to dream and watch your videos while i wait for my 1F. Thanks.

Do you think the water cooled spindles work better than the stock unit that you can buy ?
@cyberreefguru3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim - I think there are pros and cons to each. However, a high quality spindle will last longer and likely provide better results when properly used. The Makita has good power, but you can certainly get spindles with larger power that can cut deeper and faster. Air cools spindles are a little less complex and also an option. Hope that helps.

Be warned, the diy 1.5,2.0KW VFD spindles are high voltage and will need to be professionally wired, so extra $. btw, I used a raspberry pi 4 with ugs, saved $$ on computer, works just fine!

you need money and lots of it. wood prices are stupid now and decent bits are $30-50 each. then figure $2000-$5000 for a decently rigid machine to work with.. im $8000 into my venture and ill be making my first cuts next weekend after replacing a dead from start spindle.
@cyberreefguru3 жыл бұрын
Yep - that's why I recommend starting with inexpensive bits and working your way up.
