Rainy days and sea days with bad weather on small ships are boring. Food offerings on Carnival and RCL smaller ships are limited on smaller ships.

Great video! $500 for 5 days is not bad ($100 per day with all the meals, drinks, entertainment, etc). Puts the reality back into the REAL cost of the free cruise! Of course the fact that you didn't have to fly to the port and back home made the cruise even more affordable. You had a great time and enjoyed the ship and casino so it's all worth it! Now... get to those gaming points and strategy! 😂

Hey Del, thanks! Unfortunately I don't think that will be enough to get an offer - Carnival's points are basically double Royals, to it would be similar to earning 60 points in Royal. But, I'll be crossing my fingers for you!

Thank you for this video and it would be so worth it to me! About how many hours did you spend each day to earn the 1200 points? I'm usually with my husband who doesn't gamble so I don't get to spend as much time as I would like in the casino. If you bet in the middle not min/max does that help earn a little faster?

Hey Mitzi, I'd say about 4 hours a day. As for betting more, yes and no. Instant certificates and prime are two points based methods for getting cruises, so as long as you earn enough you'll qualify. Email offers are based on theo, which is expected theoretical losses, or how much the casino thinks you might lose in the future. This is heavily focused on time spent in the casino.

I know free is not really free (with port taxes, prepay gratuities, travel insurance, etc) but where i Live, the price for my 7 night cruise would be less than a hotel room on a Friday and Saturday night.

Sorry I missed this comment, Dan! You still earn casino points on freeplay, and you get C&A points as normal - that's how I got to diamond in less than 2 years 😊

Question: do the cruise companies tax you for a free cruise in the end? I’m not talking about the taxes and port fees. Just regular taxes in general, because you got comped a free cruise. I read in a comment that some hotels that comped someone a free cruise, hotel, and flight was given a 1099-g form and they owed taxes for that comped offer after taking it.

Yup! Going in with eyes wide open is important, which is why I did the video. For me its totally worth it, free food and drinks and I get to work from a cruise ship!!
