Hello, I've been following your videos on 'once saved, always saved' and I wholeheartedly agree with your perspective. In fact, my own journey with this topic has been quite transformative. 27 years ago, I received salvation in an independent fundamental Baptist church here in Nigeria and began attending services regularly. Four years later, I became a preacher and actively taught OSAS. However, 11 years ago, I encountered a preacher named Dan Corner on Facebook who challenged my views on eternal security. To be honest, his arguments shook me up. At the time, I was a seminary professor teaching soteriology, but I struggled to respond to his questions. Mr. Corner graciously offered to send me his book, 'Conditional Security of the Believer,' which he did. After thoroughly examining his arguments, I became convinced beyond a shadow of doubt. I realized I had to confess to my congregation that I had been teaching them falsehoods. I took the time to teach them the truth about conditional security, and now I'm compiling my teachings into a book. I'd be honoured to share my story on your podcast if you're interested. Thank you for standing up for the truth. God bless you. ESA

Brother Cliff,I'm glad you are my brother in Christ. My name is Richard Rhoden from Muscle Shoals,Alabama. We need more and more lessons on the fundamentals of Christianity. We are starving for this today in Christ's one church! Your lesson was very good,but we need to give some examples of the false teachings (doctrines) that are currently being taught and believed. Brother Cliff,I'm not being critical,only suggestive. I still have a problem with the sin of cursing in my life. I have never cussed out somebody to his/her face,but I've done it far too often under my breath. Either way it is sinning against God! You are a wonderful teacher of God's Word and have great command of the English language. I love and respect you and all fellow Christians. Sincerely, Richard Rhoden

Some thought has to be made who is being mixed with, also listening to the news, movies etc. Mind connections are made because we have familiar genetics and live in a social order that is generally corrupt. This why the scriptures say to come out from among them and be separate, I will be your God and you will be my people. The mind is overloaded with memories and thoughts of family, friends and associates while interacting with them as a sinner with sinners. Sin is the outward expression of a mind that does not measure up or misses the mark. There are installed mind fixtures, demons that have become part of the personality and not generally exposed unless some action is taken. They only appear under pressure generally because we all live a comfortable life and learn to live with our thoughts and behaviors. Who really wants to change? When words are spoken in full belief some power is given to them by a self empowered will. This holds the mind and personality in the state that has developed in a biology that needs to emotionally survive. To disconnect the old mind the holy spirit will energize when scripture or revelation is spoken out in full belief. This, when done while fasting, can take a person all the way into the transformation of a renewed mind. Faith comes by hearing a quickened word and is spiritually discerned.

7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! (Galatians 1:7-8, NASB) Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you. (Romans 16:16, NASB) Thank you brother Cliff!

If you are preaching OSAS that is not the word of God, a false gospel has "enticing words", and is "what we want to hear". The Cross saved no one, sanctification in his covenant can.

Great scripture study to bring out because "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ" 1 Corinthians 3:11. To know of Jesus Christ's foundation must have an open heart in investing time to daily searching the scriptures in much prayerful depth. Don't take anyone's word. Check and double check for yourself in God's Holy words. It will tell of Jesus Christ's foundation and put a for-sure spotlight on the workshops of false teachers pitch. Background checks are done to give true insight and rightly info to know. Well, God's words are available to be checked out to give true insight and info to rightly know. False teachers can only get away with their own teaching sales pitch if you don't properly know God's words or you decide to trade in God's words for pleasantry to the ears.

2 Kings 18:4Hezekiah removed the high places and broke the sacred pillars, cut down the wooden image and broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made; for until those days the children of Israel burned incense to it, and called it Nehushtan. (A thing of brass; -- the name under which the Israelites worshiped the brazen serpent made by Moses). Faith increases when, revelations or scriptures, only those that the Holy Spirit energizes are spoken in full belief, then taking the mind into a deeper place. It takes focus and any spurious thoughts pertaining to own life as a sinner amongst sinners must be given no place in the imagination, memories and thoughts. Obviously there is necessary separation from anyone not trying for the same goal because they could drag the mind back into its old state. Once you are changed stay there because there is full protection. 2 Corinthians 10:5casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, The mind and consciousness is changing from Adam's that everyone inherits to the new mind with its consciousness developed and tested by Jesus and accepted by Eternal Father, God. Romans 10:10With the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Are you aware that your church teaches the false doctrine of progressive sanctification? All false religions have a teaching of progressively overcoming the evil in which men are born. Buddhism, Taoism and Hinduism all teach that through, what many call, the Dharma they can, through many years, or even lifetimes, overcome their evil conditions until they achieve enlightenment (Hinduism) or Nirvana (Buddhism) or the Tao (Taoism) which signifies 'way', 'path', 'route', or sometimes known as a 'principle' laid down by Heaven to assist mankind back onto the righteous path, and Kensho (Zen, self awareness) resulting in Satori (sudden enlightenment) also called Kundalini (Yoga). Today, so-called, Fundamentalist Christianity has adopted these philosophies whose origins are not from Christ but from pagan religions. It’s now called, “Progressive Sanctification.” “Sanctification for Augustine of Hippo, is God’s work in man, but it is never perfected in this life, it is at present only ‘advancing the growing day by day.’ ” (On man’s perfection in righteousness, 39) (Taken from the book: The Word of Truth: by Dale Moody) Augustine (who was supposedly a converted Platonist) actually got much of his teachings from Plato, …He (Plato) argues that human souls have a non-rational part (emotions, impulses), and that the virtues require not only knowledge, but also the correct training of the non-rational part. (Ethics Through History: An Introduction. Terrance Irwin, Oxford University Press. 2020. Augustine was recognized by both Catholics and Protestants as their greatest theologian; he first started in the fourth century to make progressive sanctification the only acceptable doctrine for a believer’s relationship to sin and holiness. “We Christians are to be ‘progressively sanctified’ or ‘made righteous’ in holiness as we daily abide in Christ and obey His Word.” (Sanctification: by Billy Graham) As we can see this false narrative continues today among the leading ministers of the Protestant Churches. “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are COMPLETE (not working progressively toward completeness) in Him, which is the head of all principality and power:” (Colossians 2:8-10)

The Christian message is back to front and it is interesting because this hides what the scriptures are relating. Humans have a problem with superiority complex and cannot give up their power. When the Spirit changes a person it is in the mind and this is a problem because who wants leave behind all their comfortable state to be admitted to psychiatric care. I had a supernatural experience of God, but have not been a patient myself only because I saw what happened to the younger brother of a friend. He was working too many hours and not eating properly, spun out and his employer took him to his mothers place then he was taken to a doctor and committed to care. I was married with my first 6month old son and my mother wanted me assessed because she had different ideas and beliefs. Sanctified is the word made sanct or saint. In the old testament there is a scripture that says return to me all my saints those who have made a covenant of sacrifice. If the word Christ means consciousness then it is completed change. Adam and Eve have a mind and consciousness where they need to experiment with and experience good and evil, that is in now man's nature. It is rebellious, iniquitous and idolatrous. People do say without evil, good could not be understood, but this excuses the worst possible behavior and there is always a victim, usually a child or someone weaker and slower than a perpetrator. And of course weak people make bombs. There needs to be a deep change and the scriptures are not being followed because it is by the Spirit and not by improving a messed up personality that is influenced by self belief and empowerment through the will. We are to believe in God to have immortality, Eternal Life.

If all disputes are to be settled by the scriptures then why aren't they settled ? there are many divisions within the Churches of Christ and they're not settled even though they all go by the Bible alone maybe it's not that clear with these divisions , but if the Bible is clear on all these issues why isn't their Unity?
@studiodemichel28 күн бұрын
Good point! Unity is present, but sometimes unrecognized or not realized. See Ephesians 4:1-6. I believe that all so-called "divisions" within the Church would pale in comparison with the unity we already have on these critical doctrines.
@R-H-C-328 күн бұрын
There are so many divisions in Christianity because of the failure to rightly divide the word of truth. It's all truth, but not all of it is applicable to us today in the dispensation of the grace of God given to Paul for us.
@davidstamburski948728 күн бұрын
@ConRob3-2692 maybe it's because of Sola scriptura ever since the Reformation with Luther and others they could not agree on what the Bible taught on different subjects and so it goes on and on with the denominations being created every year. Maybe the Bible is not as clear as some like it to be. It's called the perpiscuity scripture. For instance if Luther was correct why isn't everyone a Lutheran? What I mean by that is he supposedly corrected the big bad Catholic Church, so everybody should be Lutheran

@@R-H-C-3 hmmm...so what is so different about "today" from "then?" Does Jesus say "obey my commandments" now, but go ahead and disregard some of them in the future? I'd be very careful with that hermeneutic.

@studiodemichel I'm referring to dispensations. For example, God has a different program for Israel than he does for the body of Christ. That's why Jesus separated Paul out from the twelve to commit unto him the dispensation of the gospel of the grace of God for us gentiles (no longer for only Israel as a nation). That's what Ephesians 3 is about in addition to other scriptures which show that Paul's revelation of the mystery was something brand new, including a different gospel than what Peter preached, or even what Jesus preached during his earthly ministry. Galatians 2: 7 - But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; 8 - (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentilies;
