It was a great pity that Fred died long before his time. Characters like him will never be seen again .RIP Fred we miss you

Graham Oakes This long before his time, his time WAS his time , I really cannot see Fred doddering about trying to climb ladders, stoke engines build sheds and being so frustrated that he could not do these things so dear to him anymore......Cheers FRED.

I visited Fred’s place last week, it was the final open day that current owner “Leon pownsey” has.. it was a bitter sweet in all honesty.. lovely to see what’s left of Fred’s hard work and imagination but sad to see the heart ripped and being pulled out of it... just didn’t feel right.

Great video! I bet Fred is, as we speak, is tunneling from Tonge cemetary to the bottom of his mine shaft to finish his final project (the council can't stop you now Fred!!!!) It's a sin how that site was left to rot whilst his estate was fought over. God bless you Fred you were a one off, there will never be another one, mores the pity, may you rest in eternal peace.
