Thanks for this pilgrimage-esque video! Old school arcade is a dying form but I'm glad that anime like this showcases the appeal of them! A small suggestion: in a more noisy area I can't really hear what you guys were saying though, audio could be better!

Shibuya Kaikan, which appeared in season 2, was a real multi-floor arcade in Center Gai that I used to frequent from 2005 until maybe 2010. I think it closed before 2015.

With a couple of notable exceptions I haven't been into gaming for years but in the early 90's I was a hardcore fan. I must be a similar age to these guys and so can relate to the nostalgia. finished the first series and skipped to the last episode of the second, melodrama was a little much for me although this was very finely crafted, personally i would of liked a flash forward or something rather just a forever 'ganbatte' trope type ending as i feel flash forwards give closure but still can hold that message to the viewer/reader, i guess to someone who is always reading manga they will feel less attached to particular characters maybe i dont knoww
