The little puppy I had as a kid would sit and beg with those big eyes until he got his own bow on his collar. How little? Husky/Shepherd mix! I'm under the downwind of 1R at IAD. I have to work hard to be cheerful this time of year as it was on 11/30/2011 that my ex-wife left me to chase (and be chased by) others. I've been alone most Christmases since, with a couple of short-lived relationships along the way. However, this is my first Christmas as a grandfather. Caused me to get my first Christmas tree since 2010! Bought assorted goodies for him! When I first saw him when he was two days old, I brought him a lot of stuff! But what brought my daughter and I to tears was when I gave him an H0 scale locomotive that had been one of my father's. He clutched it tightly to his chest! Yes, my grandson is getting board books, play sets, and stuffed animals. But, also a train set, model car and airplane kits, toy trucks, a couple of books, etc. Merry Christmas!

Hi Julia love your vlogs. I live in Paris..although I’m in Dublin at the moment spending a week with family. Paris is beautiful at Christmas 🎄 but So is Dublin 🇮🇪so I always come back at this time of year so I’ve the best of both worlds. My favorite Christmas song is “Fairy tale of New York” by The Pogues the lead singer Shane Mc Gowan died last week and there was a cortège of his funeral with a horse drawn carriage through the streets of Dublin yesterday morning with that song playing sad but sweet at the same time. ❤
