And in addition to my initial comment, I enjoyed the film on so many levels. I appreciate the fact that this is the first time that a film about Elvis Presley truly revealed the cultural influences that shaped his wonderfully caring attitude, core beliefs, musical style, and image in general. It reveals how open-minded he was concerning social-political politics albeit he kept his opinions close to his chest while allowing his music to be his voice. There wasn't a prejudice bone in his body, in my opinion. He wasn't judgemental since he analyzed people not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character, and that is a beautiful characteristic to have. He had great discernment concerning some things, but, was blind to other areas of his personal life as many of us are... However, that just shows to prove that no one is perfect. EP was a natural talent that missed his true calling concerning some aspects of his life... He got caught up in a bad contract due to his manager's greed, his outrageous spending habits, and he associated with many people that didn't have his best interest at heart. And unfortunately due to his isolation, poor health care alongside the weight of fame and fortune without proper guidance and good management, life began to take a tremendous toll on his health overall. Once he realized his predicament he tried to make significant changes, unfortunately, it was too late. He grew angry, deeply depressed, and clamored for help, as far as, his pride would allow... Ultimately, tragically and unfortunately he passed away, alone.

Elvis was .quite a revolutionary perfomer for his time. .They never encounter someone like him before...H e knew that he had to comply with the restrictions that was imposed. to him..He didn t want to create anymore trouble since he was only tolerated there.. That was the law than..but his obedience paid, as he gained the respect of the judge ,who became a fan for life....TREY, 🎼🎶THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES🎼🎵🎶🎻

Love your hard work in telling us the TRUTH about Elvis and keeping the Elvis history and puzzle straight too. Thank for keeping the record straight Mr. Trey on the so called new Elvis movie as well. I have heard bits and pieces about the movie and know it ISN'T a TRUE piction of Elvis. I have no desire to see the Hollyweird sensationalizing of Elvis. Elvis was tame compared to dirty dancing and other crud that has come since the 1950s. Maybe you might be able find out if the girl Elvis was kissing on the cheek in the one picture is still with us. And maybe get her take on meeting Elvis. Yes Elvis had a way of making you a fan for sure. A fantastic vlog Mr. Trey. Thank you. You are the super sleuth at Elvis history and puzzle.

Elvis went from little stages to hugh ones. From a small following to more than you could imagine. Elvis had a journey that rock our world. A Elvis fan for life. Long lives Elvis! @@GlobetrottingWithTrey Thanks for your reply, Trey :) I just wanted to add that the way you filmed this theatre (from Elvis` view), made an enormous impact on me. 04:21 That is definitely Junior & Gene FOR SURE & 10:43 Shows the piano center stage, so that's where the piano was there. This is some of my FAVORITE PHOTOS. Knowing June & her friends were there. He was surrounded by real friends, family & his puppy love. You know he looked back on these years the rest of his life. The thrill of it all, the money & excitement. No real concerns, I think Linda would be the only girl he would have that kind of dedication from again. Just being spoiled and catered to while traveling. It's a shame really, inside he was a beautiful person, he deserved real love. Everyone changes when they find THE ONE, I don't think he was any different. His health just gave out first. I wish he had journaled, to know his views on it all would be mind blowing. Listening to his interviews, the books he read, his never ending quest for salvation & spirituality- he was a deep person. His journals would have been MIND BLOWING.

It doesn't matter, it's Hollywood so not everything is going to be precise. But, it's about the message. The fact Elvis Presley was taken advantage of Big Time by a lot of people (and family) that he trusted. He was an amazing performing artist that was also a significant contributor to cultural change. I perceive him as the first multi-cultural artist/influencer. The movie is fantastic and dispels many delusions about the man, Elvis Presley. Too many people glorify EP. He's not to be glorified. He's to be respected and admired for his amazing talent. And, EP, said it in his own words, but I paraphrase, "I appreciate your sentiment, but I'm not a king, there's only one king at that's Jesus Christ."

Trey, I'm aware that some people are having doubts about the film's credibility. Mr. Lurhmann is a scriptwriter and director. He is using a dramatic license. He claims he used the Colonel's private archive to create his script. From my understanding, Mr. Lurhmann is the first person to do a media project about Elvis using the Colonel's archive. So, I am taking Mr. Lurhmann at his word. I hope he isn't lying. Mr. Lurhmann said he read newspaper clippings to get a mental picture of the fuss Elvis caused. Mr. Lurhmann combined incidents from different performances to create a scene. Mr. Lurhmann said he used pictures taken by the FBI during the Russwood Park show. The FBI pictures were not of the finger incident. He incorporated the finger into the scene but the FBI's photographs show Elvis engaging in anticks, according to Mr. Lurhmann, similar to or rawer than anything the Sex Pistols or the Plasmatics did in the late 70s He set the scene at Russwood Park to do a juxtaposition since on the same night, 3 miles away, Senator Eastland was holding a Say NO to Segregation rally at the Overton Park Band Shell. The Senator had 3,500 attendees, and Elvis had 7,000. This incident is listed in Peter Guralnick's book. I wonder if the Freedom of Information Act can be used to verify any of the plot points.

@John I have seen Baz openly give an interview straight faced saying Elvis benefited from "White Privlage" growing up. Elvis & EVERYONE around him was so DIRT POOR there wasn't ANY PRIVLAGE. When your a child that poor like during the depression, trivial stuff like skin color goes out the window. EVERYONE is equally hungry, equally turning to God and equally just trying to survive. A Tupelo historian Roy Turner said it best - Elvis Presley’s generous habit of giving to others throughout his lifetime can be traced back to his roots of growing up poor in Tupelo. According to Turner, in the small community that Elvis grew up in “they all knew each other or worked together in the factory or went to church together and they all supported each other however they could. If one person had a radio, it was there for all to come over and listen to the Grand Ole Opry on Sat. night. If one had a sewing machine all the ladies were welcome to use it… It was a sharing community. No one had a lot and no one felt better than the other in general.” Baz made me start questioning him from then on. It's like saying any of those poor sharecroppers kids in 'The Grapes of Wrath' had "White Privlage" 🙄 those REAL children ARE Elvis, Jessie Garon with no prenatal care, Dolly Pardons coat of many colors, Loretta Lynn and all her sibblings, Johnny Cash and his eldest brother cut in half at such a tender age, I could keep going. Their is Class Privlage but not race. Then I found a round table Interview for Entertainment Weekly. The entire "Elvis" class is around a table talking about how they come to learn of Elvis the first time. Baz actually has the nerve to steal Elvis' story of Red West saving him in High School from having his hair cut. He spins the story and says HE - BAZ- was in a Catholic school and wore pink socks to school. A group of bull's locate him in the bathroom and almost smash his face in. This big guy "saves him" and says "So what! Elvis wore pink socks too" 😑 Then says he was left alone and was cool then... 03:55. Austin calling Baz on his LIE and not even realizing it! 🤣🤣🤣 I can't too damn funny!! Baz was really gonna take Elvis' favorite story, make it his own and expect no one to notice... 😆😆😆Typical Celeb. Fake as hell. Tom Hanks already said he had No clue about Elvis or his music in another interview. He then went on ELVIS' RADIO and repeated a bunch of Elvis' lies where we KNOW, EAT, SLEEP & BREATHE ELVIS. Here is the Interview: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGLVqq2frc93e80 Baz has the nerve to say "Wow! I NEVER NOTICED THE PARALLEL.." REALLY?!?! But he claims to be a Die hard Elvis fan?!?! 🙄 I think Austin himself is now a Elvis fan for life though. I have seen several interviews where he said he listened to Elvis for 3years every day, and both lost their moms at the same age. I always notice he talks of Elvis with sheer love and Humility like I do. He genuinely feels that same spiritual connection to Elvis we all do. Baz & Tom are 100% posers. Tom said on Elvis radio he never heard of the Colonel & never even seen him. He said he didn't want to even read a book on him cause he didn't want to have a Bias... WHAT?!?! Austin says he read every GF & MM book he could get his hands on. So Austin KNOWS the facts. The part in the movie that raised my brows was their suggestion that a Senate Committee drafted EP to harness his race relations on the youth. The FBI & CIA at that time ABSOLUTELY would have done so. It just never was a thought I had. Same with them Drafting Ali. Then to have JFK killed in '63, Then Robert & MLK killed. The bay of pigs, Hoover was into some horrible things then. I don't doubt it at all. Then look at today's Bengahzi, Chris Stephen's, 9/11 & The FBI involved in Michigan Capital plot and Jan 6th. It's DEFINITELY something they would do.
