When key points that can make us understand for example why a character acts a certain way, are hidden away in some novel that less than 1% of the playerbase will have read, it's a bit problematic. There's nothing inherently wrong about an extended universe and other media to back up the lore though, but the different sources need to add to the main material, instead of disrupting it by taking some important pieces away from it

Instead.....the vassal of life sounds like Alexstrasza and she may accidentally cover up things for Nozdormu just because he has been like a brother to her for so long. Meanwhile.... Nozdormu has green eyes and never helped with the heart of azeroth necklace and has not been seen lately, despite so many time-related things (the chromie scenario, and the tailoring questline, and the time-walking vendors, and the entire interference in wod, etc) going awry. It is much more likely that Nozdormu has become corrupted even though he told us he shouldn't be......and that he commits some kind of foul deed soon.

If you fall for the light (like lightforged dranei) you have a set of values that is way more in line with morality of things that live so they dont see you as raid-material. Things like heroism, self sacrifice, unity, cooperation are, from our side of the view good = so light is good (Or atleast isnt outright bad) Since WoW culture is based on our culture with few tweaks it is logical that Light will be the lesser evil when compared to Death, Void and Chaos. Who are all opposed to the way living things want to live in a society. If Naaru and their pet dranei are presentation of what happens to those who fall for the light, then light is really the least evil thing to fall for. You dont lose sanity, you keep yourself together, you will be pretty much alive and well and you have a good public reputation from get go. You only lose some freedoms of independence and you slightly turn in to a weapon rather than a person. And if someone falls too much for Light and becomes a zealot that like goes on a crusades where he/she massacres orcs, then the pupper masters (Naaru i guess) can simply disown you and protect their PR with Alliance/Horde. Light also has a another tier of "protection" as Light can be distanced away from Naaru. You dont need to be a fanatic to use it and light on its own wont corrupt you. The only thing that can turn you around are the Naaru with light. But on its own, light spews good values that align with society. Compared to other powers where you either lose everything, go insane and turn against your family members, serve as crapper for higher powers who give little to no shit about you AAAnd everyone on Azeroth wants your head on a spike.

The way to use it is simply to place the gem over the letters and they appear as something you can read. (Trivia. So If this theory holds true, then all it would take is finding some ancient gibberish and a curious rogue (possibly himself) reading it to see what it says. The only character that comes to my mind is Sylvanas Windrunner. Sylvanas has the title of Queen, like the Queen of the Forsaken, the Forsaken Queen, and the Banshee Queen. Sylvanas fit the bill: * Sylvanas is blind by fear since she is a very paranoid, her primary goal is to avoid death at all costs, and that fear has driven her to form an extremely convoluted plan in an attempt to prevent it. On Before The Storm, Sylvanas has also murdered her own people and Calia because she was afraid that they were defecting from her and then she blamed Calia for that. * Sylvanas is also blind by pride, she takes pride in what she is doing to the point that she doesn't care about anything. She is so prideful that she believes that everyone is beneath her and that she is above death. * Sylvans is also blind by anger, she obviously hates life, she wants everyone to die except for her. She also is quick to anger when things do not go to her plans. So, Sylvanas fit the bill to be the blind queen, she is blind by fear, anger, and pride. And for the scepter of bone could be Bwonsamdi's scepter since it is made of bones and he is the Loa aka God of Death. Sylvanas' main goal is to conquer death, so the best way to achieve that is to defeat a god of death. So sooner or later we may see Sylvanas vs Bwonsamdi possible in the next expansion or the next patch.

Weirdly, I always interpreted the lanterns as the old gods themselves. Now all the old gods that we know of have been sealed away or destroyed completely. The fire that they seek (Azeroth) will light the master's way (the void lords presumably). EDIT/Addendum - The old gods I'd reference here would be Y'ssarj, C'thun, N'zoth, Yogg'Saron, and Xal'atath. G'huun was produced by the titans so I'm inclined not to include, even though that would make five deceased OGs. Xal'atath said she'd pay us a visit again sooooooooo maybe 9.0 is dealing with her before void god-a-polloza.

From the WoW Gamepedia : Odyn gave up one of his eyes to a mysterious spirit from the Shadowlands in order to gain the ability of seeing into that realm. It was described as "shapeless" and surrounded Odyn in shadow. From what I’ve read, the OG’s and minions of OG’s do not come out and say, “Sylvanas is the bad guy”, they most often identify whom they are referring by a description, i.e. “Boy king”, “King of Diamonds” etc, so to refer to someone as “Queen”, and given the expansions most relevant characters, this is most likely Queen Azshara, “from the deep she calls forth doom” her kingdom was “deep” under the ocean, and could be stating they know of her treason against N’Zoth. And during this expansion we are told many times by N’Zoth and his minions we will “See” the truth. If Azshara never saw the truth he would consider her blind... imo

Il'gynoth always uses the term "master" for a hidden message but as he got defeated in Legion he clearly says "N'Zoth i travel to Ny'Alotha" so with master he is pointing to someone else. The void sees all possibilities and holds them all as true. I believe that all of Ilgynoth's whispers refer to more than one prophecy and that they may well all be true. The whispers are always worded intentionally so they may generate many possible interpretations. Warcraft (especially BfA) has always been about cycles. History repeats itself. Completing the circle. Throughout BfA we are shown sets of parallels. The whispers are highlighting parallels between prophecies. There's not one single truth to be gleaned from each whisper. The Vacant Throne is probably talking about Lordeoran and Calia is the crown of light. Sense Sylvanas was queen of the forsaken not of Lordeoran. But either way Calia could fill “both” rolls and I think the darkness she will bring will be( crazy thought) hitler type situation by her probably rounding up the forsaken and forcibly turning them into “light” undead and probably regular mortals as well, and becoming the “light lich king” and going to war with Sylvannas. But I believe the reason is because I believe the madness of the light will lead her to believe that the state she is in is “ how the light would have everyone be” not just her.
