I just met a man from California who moved to my neighborhood in Xenia Ohio and paid cash for his home in Xenia that is 3900 sq ft. And then had 300000.00 left that he put in the bank. It is like he struck the lottery just by moving.

Agree. California is on it's way down. Socialist state and their governor is horrible. If he had waited to sell the house until this year 2021, he would've sold at the top of the market. Hindsight is 20:20.

Such a fun vlog! I have always wanted to eat at Mel's Diner. I really enjoy your vlogs & just want to say thank you SO MUCH! I watch them while I'm at chemo or at home in recovery mode, and they are a really nice and welcome distraction. My five-year-old twins also really love your vlogs and absolutely adore seeing Jah! It's so rad to get to show them places I've always wanted to go &/or gain knowledge about stuff, I never I knew I wanted to learn about. I really hope that I have the time to get through them all. I'm absolutely loving this series of you and Breck traveling. You guys both seem like such wonderful people. We are also really enjoying watching Breck's & Jah's new channels. Thanks again Jordan, always sending you good vibes, wishing you the best & safe travels. 💙 Shine on shining star! 🌟 Countess X 🧛🏻♀️

Thank you for helping Brek move~so looking forward to your road trip from the OC to Waco. Four years ago my husband, myself, 2 young children and pets loaded up a Penske Truck and got the hell out of my home state, California. We drove from Studio City to Austin. We landed in heaven and found home sweet home. I know exactly how Brek feels, it's called relief. Y'all have a great time and we'll be watching.

What didn’t you like about So Cal? I love So. Cal! I hear Austin is a cool city, but has become really overpopulated. As many cities have.
@dn76474 жыл бұрын
@@clifhellner1493 Crime, the traffic is a nightmare, drive by shootings, car jackings and car break ins, the knock out game, homelessness, road rage, home break ins,. My car was stolen and my beloved Schwinn Bike was stolen and both were locked. Our home had an attempted break in. Our kids couldn't walk to school, too dangerous, the air and water is poisoned. The people in LA have been brainwashed to hate white people. So, why do you ask? BTW, we don't live in Austin, we live in a suburb of Austin, just like we lived in Studio City, a suburb of LA. We go to downtown Austin as often as we have gone to downtown LA, like never! Glad you're happy in LA~stay safe.
@clifhellner14934 жыл бұрын
Well, guess that about sums it up, ha. I ask, because I was just curious, being that you’re a Californian. I don’t live there. Live in Charlotte, NC but have always loved So. Cal. Did my college internship (‘98) In Santa Monica and still visit frequently. Usually, in the Santa Monica/Malibu/Topanga area. Me and my wife, love it. However, as you know, crazy expensive! At least the cost of living. And yes, traffic is a beast. But we have always had great experiences there. But, we have also never lived there.

My mom used to watch that show when I was little. I remember Flo telling Mel to kiss her grits. It's an interesting that was one of the few shows that came from a movie that was successful. "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" was the movie that starred Ellen Burstyn as that character. Of course everyone knows her from THE EXORCIST. That was also one of Martin Scorsese's early films as a director. But it is great to see all of those autographed pictures of the show's cast. You got omlett and cottage cheese. I love both of those. Cheese Omelette is my favorite.

FUN FACT: The original Mel's Diner for Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore was located in Tucson, Arizona. Sadly, that building no longer exists. The majority of the film was shot in and around Tucson, including The Chicago Store on Congress street. For the tv series they changed the location to Phoenix, Arizona but filmed the show entirely on sets in California.

It was called PATS before this. They only used this place for the exteriors. I was living in Phx when new episodes of ALICE were being released. This place has a history much deeper than expterior shots for a show that was filmed in LA. I used to come here in the late 80's all through the 90's and up to 2017 and I stopped going after that. This inside is in some ways very similar to the TV set and in many ways nothing like it. I've seen it go through several different interiors just in my lifetime. I'd love to see the interior redone exactly like the TV set but that'll never happen. The outside of this building, prior to its Alice fame was a very different building. There are pictures inside the restaurant and even that exterior (was very flashy and colorful and much different) had gone through significant changes over the course of a few decades. Phoenix's restaurant history is expansive and almost all of them are now long, long gone. None of the photo flair on the walls were there so long ago, they started capitalizing on the whole history of Alice theme only about 2015 or so I can't remember...but they've obviously gone full Nelson on the Alice theme now.
