Grier and Weaver is a bad combination. Weaver is coaching the players that the GM is giving him. I believe it was Grier’s decision to let Wilkins, Van Ginkle and Davis go. And Weaver seems to have the philosophy of playing soft and giving opposing receivers that 8-10 yard cushion and stopping the big gain plays. Those shorter gains add up. And McDaniel I guess is just concentrating on the offense and letting Weaver do his thing. When McDaniel has a press conference after these games, maybe he should start getting asked some tough questions.

Idk man, I don’t think it’s coaching, more so roster building. Anthony Weaver hasn’t had a chance to make it his defense. Wilkins had to go, he wanted too much $. He’s not a team guy, all for himself. Raiders took a big L signing him. Van Ginkel should’ve never left, but it ain’t Weavers fault. Chris Grier and probably McDaniel deserve the blame.

Nahhhh. If you really watch this defense. We play so far back, no pass rush. Poor stunt schemes, no blitz what's so ever. Weaver can't design any blitz schemes. Flores had exotic blitz packages. Weaver relies on individual play. Pathetic man. Weaver is terrible.

The GM , HC , and DC are soft Most of the players are soft Weaver is NOT Coaching them UP He does not adapt in the game he is a PUPPET I met Chubb at a Party here in Boca Raton . Chubb told me GINKY best player on the defensive side ! --------------- SO next season we have many holes to fill . They need better JOES . Weaver is a good guy but has to GO . Problem defense is soft . Draft COLD weather players from tough programs .. LIKE Chop Robinson … sign Tough guys from cold weather teams We need a TOUGH GUY DC PERIOD !

Tired of this scapegoating. Sure, bad tackles. But how many times has the defense made stops, only to hand the ball over to Tua and this offense so that they can just punt it right back? Miami's defense plays above its talent just to try to keep the offense in the game. It is not the defense's fault that Tua and this offense couldn't score more than a field goal in one half against Green Bay. Or why in the second quarter against the Jets, this prolific offense could only score three field goals. The very fact that the Jets defense, at 3-9, consistently stopped Tua and this offense, should be the focus on why Miami's defense struggles in every game to desperately keep the pretenders in the game at all. If this Offense played up to its talent, it wouldn't have had to come from behind or even go to overtime. Not winning championships like this. People don't get to compare Tua to Brady, or hype up Hill, Waddle, or Achane, and default to the "defense" when their offensive drives typically amount to only a field goal.
