Owned a house off of 50 Rd from 2015-2020. The traffic after Costco and metro was built became a bit much but was expected. We really loved that area. Moved to small Township in West Lincoln and could not be happier. Good video for pros and cons my friend👌🏼

Not a bad summary of Stoney Creek. As someone who lives on the mountain in Stoney Creek, just a few updates on your info. The mountain is south of the water (not north). Taxes on a million dollar home are way less than 12000. Ball park of 5000 to 7000 for a million dollar home. The con you say for no night life is seen as a pro by many. You don't typically buy in suburbs of a city to experience nightlife. We can easily take transit or taxi/uber to Hamilton's downtown core if needed. Overall its a great spot to live. You can add Bruce trail and other trail networks for bikes and hiking to your pros 👍

My cousins grew up in Dundas, Ontario. I visited there every summer when I was a child/kid. I’m American. Love my Canadian cousins! My aunt lived in Stoney Creek for a while. She lived on the lake.

I lived in Stoney Creek for 4 years and while it was ok, I have to say I'm glad to not live there anymore. I lived in a new development and as you can see at @7:10 there are absolutely no mature trees in these communities. Have you ever gone for a stroller walk with your baby in the scorching hot sun? Not enjoyable. They say it's family-friendly but it's also not a very walkable city, therefore you have to drive even if you want to get a simple coffee. So if you live in one of these communities, you will find yourself walking blocks upon blocks with nowhere really to go. Another thing to note is that the houses are built pretty much on top of each other, and they all look the same. No character, no sense of community and I remember everyone pretty much kept to themselves.

Great video. I'm from Mexico and I'm checking where to go and work there in Canada. How's the rent there in Stoney Creek? Is it convenient?
@LivingInHamiltonOntarioCanada2 жыл бұрын
The rent in Stoney Creek starts at around 1800 and goes up from there. And It depends on what you are trying to be convenient too it does give you easy access to the QEW to easily access the neighbouring cities and has a good public transportation in the downtown part to get around easily.
