Dave there's a Northern Ireland youth international at Burnley you should keep an eye on called Troy Savage. His agent is former United and Newcastle winger Keith Gillespie. He has a great attitude and an eye for goal. How do you rate the Rossoneri's chances in Serie A this year? Also who is the next up and coming young manager in the Ancelotti mould who picks the best players rather than being system based and looking for players to fit that formation or tactics?

I think calafiori will play LB will replace zinchenko I think Gabriel will stay and timer califiori will rotate and Gabriel and maybe Saliba on cup games to rest them

@@javierlandaverde4108 Saliba slotted right in after coming from Ligeu 1. More often than not players need time to adjust, but I'd argue that Serie A is a better league

7:43 dave the fullback is exposed when tucking in midfield and if the centre back steps in the same area. and that is the flaw of that tactic. that's why some italian clubs play with 5 defeners on rest defence

As well as tactical innovation, we need squad rotation. Cala taking minutes off Gabriel - shaking up the combinations at centre back. This is necessary but may result in a fall off from our current defensive stability.

Calafiori, Gabriel, Saliba, Timber...that would be my starting back four. Ben, Kiwior and Zinchenko as covers. Love Tomi but he needs to go...too injury prone and I think Kiwior has the potential to be as good if not better as Tomi.

My guess is long term Arteta wants Calafiori at centre back and Timber at left back. Then when we’re in possession, Timber makes a back three with White and Saliba and Calafiori steps into midfield. Although I still think Gabriel is first choice for this season at least.

Nah, he will step up akin to zinchenko and how we have seen Timber thus far this season. Timber is starting mostly because he has been around the system. Matter of time before Calafiora takes the role. White will overlap when attacking, Calafiori will “underlap” while trossard stays wide

In a nutshell this is why i stopped watching this channel, i feel its extremely obvious to any paying attention calafiori has come in to be the left back. Hes more like a ben white on the left. Giving us the ability to invert on either side and have the other fullback be the 3rd cb or to have both fullbacks inverting. We are not replacing gabriel any time soon. But too many of these analysis channels just make random assumptions or just assume everything is about copying city instead of just watching and analysing the team in depth.

@@Rk-xx1sg timber is a right back/centre back, the only reason he's even played left back was due to injury. It upsets the balance of the side having a right footed player on the left. He will play left back primarily. You should have realised that at least when he came on for his debut.... At left back.

Or just move gabby to lb and play rico at lcb, then if he steps into midfield its still the same back 3 but gaby is lcb and blanco is rcb

Consider: Martinelli wears down the full back and near side defending mid fielder showing help, then Leo comes in and exploits space. A perfect partnership.
