Honestly, i think Frollo fell for Esmeralda because she stood up to him. I mean, back in those days, not many people had the guts to stand up to an authority figure, and tell them they are wrong. And to be honest, i dont think you were even allowed to.

I love the fact that frollo was the first character to be shown killing someone on screen seconds into the beginning of the movie. Where to understand that he is not a good person, who is using the church as a moral shield for his actions. By no means is he a good person and every opportunity he has to turn himself around, he proves himself to be evil by not doing it. His death at the end of the movie is poetic justice.

Frollo, in the books, is a deeply immature character, in a sense. He never got to learn how to deal with friendship and romance and all those other important social skills as a teenager. He's forced to deal with them, for the first time in his life, like a teenager. But instead of having the mentors and friendships of a an actual teenager and having people above him to limit his ability to harm, he crafted himself so much success through hard work that, plus living in the late Middle Ages...It's a disaster. While Frollo is much more intelligent than the average 35 year old, he has the emotional maturity of a teenager.

My wish for Disney The Hunchback of Notte Dame's remake is that Disney adds to Frollo a tragic backstory and some redeeming qualites. While his animated counterpart is classified as a Pure Evil villain, the live-action version should be classified as a Near Pure Evil villain due to his symphatethic backstory and slightly good qualities.😢❤

Frollo is literally the most realistic villain in the entire franhise - and a top candidate when it comes to ever. Fitting the theme, there is one crucial truth both the character and those like him here in te real worl must understand; and let's use gypsies for example: *if God did not want them here; they would not be here.* That is one very elementary piece that numerous don't even look into, regardless of subject. Not everything within that is moral, yet I merely mean the moral intends. When the figures laid their eyes on him after killing an innocent person, that was when he should have realized that mention of my own; but no. He was already too far gone, because he could not sincerely repent afterward.
