Dame Dash's influence on hip hop should not go unnoticed. He's partly responsible for the success of countless artist, namely #jayz and other successful business ventures in and out the industry in the early 2000s. After coming up together with Jay-z as his artist, he began losing control as Jay got bigger. Eventually Jay-z got to a level where to him Dame was more of a risk than value. The way he talked to people in the industry rubbed many the wrong way and it caused he and Jay to grow distant. That led to a split between them and bad blood, especially expressed from Dash, who always felt slighted by how it all went down. Either way, Dame would be quietly blackballed in the industry and his potential as a music mogul was Stunted. What else Stunted Dame Dash's Growth? OUT NOW 🔥 🎤 🎼 🔥 🎥 Stunted Growth Music

The only reason Jay-Z didn't stunt Kanye's growth is because Ye could produce his own music & didn't have to use leftover beats like n the video for Memphis Bleek

I don't think Jay ever intended to be an artist after vol 2. But that album blew so much he probably was like I can be a boss and rapper. Once Lyor Cohen started spending more time with Jay, he got in that elite crowd of bosses that Dame didn't connect with. That alone ended Rocafella.

You pretty much nailed it. I work with white execs and you gotta talk a certain way, look a certain way and move a certain way.In other words, you must know how to play the game. It appears Dame refused to do this and therefore these white execs who put Jay on the billionaire path did not want to bring Dame along. Jay had a goal of being a boss and had no problem playing the game and look where he is today.

Dame could never be Diddy, and shouldn’t even be compared to him. Diddy was his own boss of his own label. Dame was a partner with Jay-z. Dame was running around making noise while Jay-z was the talent and the brains. Biggie died and Diddy was still striving. Jay-z left and Dame never recovered. When has that ever happened? Let’s say Biggie would have left Bad Boy; I highly doubt the industry would turn their backs on Diddy like they did Dame. I just don’t see Biggie getting Diddy blackballed. Everything Dame was known for had Jay-z attached to it. Record label, clothing line, liquor brand, etc… From the outside he doesn’t appear to be the head honcho. Even with Cash Money you can tell Birdman was the boss. Even with his feud with Lil Wayne Birdman still held all the cards.

Going to give you some first hand insight, we were working on several days coming up with "JAYZ" songs. Then the 3rd day we get the list by email what songs he wanted to do. We had close to 20 in the bag and his list erased 15 of them😂😂😂. So the next day we headed up to NYC to rehearse (THIS OS FOR UNPLUGGED BTW) Jay comes in we hit off aight. Now when Dame shown up to check on things I seen a 180° shift in those that were there. Like many of the entourage got tighten up and weren't as loose as they were before hand. So in the back of my head I'm thinking the rumours were true. (ESPECIALLY BEING FROM PHILLY MANY OF THE ROSTER IS THERE) So we continued then finished and got the set licked down. Now, it's the day of the show at MTV and we're all setup. Right before the ending of "PHARRELL" shows up and "DAME" steps in. Once again seen the vibe again where certain people gave off this why is he here scenario. Then it was confirmed that it was downhill from there. Watching a legacy defunct and artist being moved around then Beans and other artist that never got their chance was heartbreaking because there's so much talent. Still.....it was a great time in HipHop and R&B flourish in the charts with good music. It's an era we'll NEVER get again because there's something more important over all. OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR YAHSHUA HAMASHIACH IS RETURNING AND IT'S TIME MORE THEN EVER TO LET HIM IN YOUR LIFE.
