I'm curious if this kind of sacrifice of one artist for another also happened between Ye and 50 Cent when Graduation came out. Graduation was a genuinely better album and "Can't Tell Me Nothing" is one of Ye's best tracks, but 50 Cent is not that bad. Stuff like "Ayo" still sounds good (but fr that is a Timbaland and JT song that features 50)

He and his label Dreamville is under Interscope. So it’s all connected. He’s doing this whole series catered to his retirement. I’m thinking he might pull a Prodigy and start making music exposing the industry and everything he’s seen & knows before he gets taken out. It’s also weird how his career has basically been in a decline for over 10 years as if he might be lowballed by the industry.

You ever watch the show power? Every Industry is rigged because like you say its all about control and them getting the best deal to control you. Thats why when you got your own and know your position they can't play you out of it. Also, you have to be spiritually connected and being true to yourself. If you lost or relying on them its a trap. I wouldn't be surprised if the bot theory is correct. It was thrown around since the moral album. Plus not like us got like 10 mil views the 1st day. The latest numbers are no where close to that. And the not like us was just an audio upload. Not even a video. Did an audio file really out do a legitimate music video. I find that hard to believe. People were saying it was suspicious that Kendrick didn't post anything for like 5 years, but his first music video in years was still getting pushed by the algorithm, even though the algorithm was set up to only benefit consistent uploading. Idk he's Kendrick so I wouldn't be surprised if he's an exception to the rule. But I also wouldn't count out the label using bots without him knowing.

Hard to survive suing your label or High up bosses(see the aftermath of Diddy vs Diageo), rarely works out for the artist ( also see Prince 2 years almost to the date after getting ownership of his music back).
