Honestly Ben, whatever you mentioned its happening in the east slowly, because the west cultures do affect the east cultures in so many ways. Kids these days are getting woke and these cancel cultures are affecting people's lifestyle too mainly because of social media. One thing for sure, as a non-Muslim to be born and raised here, I'm glad Malaysia is a Muslim country and not too radical when it comes to religious practices since we are quite diverse here. I know you are trying to escape the matrix, just don't be afraid to be yourself.

I left California after my Father passed away last year. I have no close family left anymore. He was really the only reason that I stayed. I sold my house, car and most of my belongings. Gave away the rest of it. Only have a tiny storage unit near LAX with some valuables and sentimental things that I couldn't part with at this time. I just travel as a perpetual tourist never staying anywhere for too long. I have a lot of family in NYC but I have no interest in living there or anywhere in America. I was in South America first. Then I was in EU. But I came back to Asia where I prefer to be. I will be 43 in May. I am semi retired at this point. My Father wanted me to go travel more and live in other countries so that is what I am doing. Good Luck on your journey. It will be a trip to say the least.

I think some of what I said is being taken out of context. I do think people should be allowed to be gay if they want to, or transition if they want to as long as they’re not a child, so I’m not anti-LGBT by any means. I have gay and trans friends so that’s not the issue.
@KedaiNasi8 ай бұрын
@@benfishermin sure they can be whoever they want but keep it to themselves and don't touch the children. people here don't think it's okay for LGBT people to talk about sex to their children instead of the parents themselves, and this is the result of the LGBT movement. it's the movement i'm talking about, which won't happen here. that's what i meant

@@benfishermin sure, Malaysia is quite liberal. You can be anything you want but sexually you can't flaunt yourself in obscenities in public as what you like may not be in accordance with other members of the public. Even heterosexual, they are not allowed to parade in obscene manner in public. People just won't want their childrens mind get f*ck*d up. Whatever you do, do it within your own walls. There's practically no incidents of bashing over here and everyone almost live comfortably. Those found problems here are mostly trying to make unacceptable statements in public. It's a diverse community and some general rule accepted by all should be adhered. Total individualistic freedom is simply not possible in public... only in your own home. It's a necessity to keep community in harmony. Pride parade like Folsom CA is strictly a no in almost all Asian countries. Once it is allowed, people understand more avenues for such disturbing scenes would rise into demand. Bad for the younger generations.

Interesting to know you are a Tattoo Artist. Perhaps when you can, you should spend some time in Kuching, Sarawak looking into traditional tattoos there. It's a Borneo state in East Malaysia, and the natives there have had centuries old tradition of body tattoos. They had a wry smile when the craze for body tattoo in the West became mainstream some decades ago as you would meet many Sarawakian natives who have body tattoos for many years for cultural, religious and social reasons. Some of the tattoos are incredibly intricate, detailed and quite different. And each local native tribes will have their own distinctive style of tattoos.

I did visit nyc in 2001 just after 9/11. Manhattan was so huge with its skyscraoers that I felt KL was just a tiny town compared to it. I was visiting a distant relative who was living in Queens where fd ws expensive and not easy to find. Unlike Msia you can find it easily and at affordable prices. But at the end of the day, its abt the same. Musuems were amazing in ny. I felt If you have enough cash, nyc has limitless adventures and many many events take place daily but u'd nd money. Manhattan was so clean and easy to walk around esp 5th Ave. Money is harder to make in Msia. Anyway if u want to save money do yr shopping at at affordable mini marts like Speed99 or if u really run out it shop at the RM2 Shop where everythg is only rm2. Best wishes.

Yea with a lot of money NYC can be a great place to live, then it’s like a playground which has anything you want

totally undstd where u' re coming fr & agree 💯% w/ yr point of view abt the extreme lgbtq " trend", etc. hope u find home here in Msia🥰. our tagline here for generations has been " sucess is almost certainly within anyone's reach as long as he/ she( no in betweens here lol) is willing to work for it." dreams still do come true in Msia 🇲🇾

Great video Ben, everything you said is happening throughout the US although to a lesser degree in the rural areas where I live, but still the woke culture has infected the whole country, and it's so sad to see! I'm hoping to move somewhere in Southeast Asia next year if at all possible, just to save my sanity and live a quiet peaceful life in one of the beautiful countries over there! Thanks for telling the truth, best wishes and good luck!

Hi Ben. Always not easy to migrate from the comforts of familiarity, more so, to half way around the world. It's not just in America but the woke culture is rising everywhere. Malaysia is great, I'm Malaysian btw, but Asia is huge and totally diverse, legal opportunities are abound if you do your research, so hope you can explore and find that sweet spot to call base.

I'm Malaysian, even 10 years ago, if someone offered to support me living in New York... I would decline without hesitation. Westerners have been brainwashed since the end of WW2. Same goes to the rest of the world including Malaysians but the effects are not that bad because religion is our base. Westerners let the elites do the thinking for them. Religious people let the religious leaders do the thinking. I do the thinking myself with the help of my Lord. I will say whatever I wanna say. I don't care about others'feelings or think about me. I don't live to satisfy other people's mouth.

Hi Ben. What food have you tried in Malaysia? How long are you planning to be in Malaysia?
@decTac9 ай бұрын
Malay people are the best people that's why they can accept others like Chinese, Indians and other foreigners to live in this country for decades with peace and harmony.. Never listen to bad rumours..most of them are envy with our diversity and friendliness.. Btw, you can refer to American expats who live like Andrew Henderson of Nomad Capitalist and Andrew Taylor... they're have KZbin channels that talk about living in Malaysia 🇲🇾
@benfishermin9 ай бұрын
Yes agree it feels very accepting here for all people. Everyone here is very friendly especially the Malaysians. Those are good channels I watch too! Thanks
