It's probably too late, but what you should have done instead of 'free resurfacing' is you should have lowered your base price and offered a 'clean disk bonus'. This little phycological change is tested business science.

Agreed, the benefit of the old system was you were getting top dollar for clean discs. But the deductions felt bad. With deductions built into price, you aren't rewarded for sending top quality. But with "Clean disc bonuses", people are incentivized to send their best stuff. And if their stuff isn't super clean, then the base price already has the cleaning built in

Reduced the offers on most items to cover not charging for case replacement, Disc repair, ect. With a "trust me bro" if you send in good condition stuff

Name change is smart. I don’t really like how all of the disk based games got a cut across the board, but I imagine it makes your processing quicker and more transparent. As for DS chargers, just list it as a quick flip item. Then if people have working chargers they can get paid for them.

A very bad decision to not charge for certain services. The resurfacing machine will need to be replaced at some point, it takes electric. The cases are not cheap etc etc etc. So in the end trying to be the nice guy will eat into your profits, you are possibly going to lose at least 10% of any profit margins for all the dud stock.

I absolutely LOVE how candid you were when talking about your hairline. Go to a good barber and have them give you a nice haircut that covers it up for now. @@adammonahan687 Exactly I am also a full time reseller and it doesn't take much effort to list an item. Take some pics, write a description and post. In fact going to the post office and packing your stuff perfect for little princess here probably takes more effort. Sell locally, meet up, get cash. Done. Sold 2 console bundles and over 50 games just today locally. "Oh you want my item that I took 3 min to post, ok lets meet....20 min later, cash, done." Finding the items is really the only hard part and you collectors already did that. Don't waste your collection on this guy. His middle man business isn't needed.

Certain things should be baked into his business though. he has the resurfacer capable of fixing discs, so unless its ridiculously scratched, theres no reason to lower the price since it costs him less than 25 cents to do a disc (I know this first hand, I also have a similar machine.)

@ resurfacing a disk cost money too plus the wear on the machine. I got an extra $20 for sending my stuff clean. Is not much but is better than nothing
