Overthinking is ALWAYS my issue. Throw in ADHD and a natural love of research, moving forward is a real struggle. I'm a queen at creative procrastination, but I'm working on changing my mindset and telling myself to just start. If you KZbin creators created bad videos, maybe I'd be able to stop watching such informative videos. LOL Seriously though, I just found you and have enjoyed the videos I've watched so far. You’re not alone. I’m struggling with the same exact issue. I replayed what he said at the end (around 9:50) like 10 times. lol So basically I’ve learned how to make designs now I need to create mockups in my POD company of choice. AFTER that I’ll put them in my Shopify store… (btw, thankfully I learned you can reduce your Shopify payment to $9/month if you just want to be non-active and build it.) Something I just did to help myself focus is buy a monthly planner that also has hourly planning. It has a yearly goal and 3 month goals and a place to write action steps, etc etc. That way I can try to plan my days better and get more done. I lose track of time and get distracted so easily. I’m praying this helps me move forward.

U know I appreciate videos like this. A lot of KZbinrs make pod sound easy but it’s a business and involves a lot of hard work, trial and error, time and money investment. It’s not a get rich quick scheme. Just to add, my biggest fear of starting is spending money on shopify, advertising and designs with no return on my investment. I’m quite a risk averse person and this prevents me from diving into pod.

Yup... Overthinking! And now, I'm finding so many people talking about all the errors and poor quality of product that printers are shipping out, that I'm asking myself if I really want to deal (not so much with customer service), but with how nasty customers can be. I read reviews, and even when a buyer makes an assumption or doesn't read descriptions well, they still blame the seller. Definitely operating in "Spin Cycle". Thanks Joe

I like your videos. I'm just wondering what the benefit to using your preferred method (shopify), vs and etsy or amazon POD business? I've watched dozens of hours of POD videos (I'm the overthinker) and have heard multiple times that Shopify is the toughest to start from scratch.

People want instant gratification. Wether this is going to be a part time/full time/side hustle business it is just that. A BUSINESS and businesses take your time and attention to get rolling. Trial and error are part of the learning process. Nobody knows you exist without some marketing to let customers know you are even operating.

If you want to take a level above, you can look into actual manufacturing and creating a real brand. But that takes much more dedication and may not suit for most people. Either way, pod or not, you need to build a comminity and branding first. Win peoples hearts first and foremost.

I don't think PoD is a scam! I don't think PoD is a get-rich-quick scheme either! But I am guilty of procrastination - I have a family, a job and all the other stuff life throws at us! Your video has helped me clarify why I want a PoD business! My goals are to realise my creative and artistic side and hopefully generate a side income from it - I'd be happy with generating £200-£300 per month once up and running. Obviously it'd be great if i can make more, but I've realised that money isn't my main driving force! My main concern right now is WHERE to market my PoD products and WHICH company is best to handle the logistics? I'm hearing that the bigger the platform, the harder it is to get accepted ... So, I know what I want to design and market, but I'm confused as to which marketplace and logistics companies to use? This video has helped me refocus my plans - I'm going to design all the products first, then learn how to market them! I'm hoping the designed products will guide me forward? Over thinking and not sure what to create is a problem Expecting to make thousands of dollars in only a few months while having outstanding bills is a problem Barely enough time to be online after working a 9-5 job is a problem Not having a proper marketing strategy is a problem Not researching and knowing the Ai learning curve is a problem.

P.O.D. costs n retail price profit margins can never be competitive with business directly ordering with manufacturers with m.o.p. Retailers. P.O.D. are just for tricking Amateurs starters with no budget. Not many people truly making it. Totally not recommended.
