The only reasons for the initial success of Netflix Witcher was Cavill and the popularity of the books and games. The quality was shit from day one. It just got to be worse shit with each passing season. Awful show. But then, it's not surprising. Anytime identity politics is put ahead of story, the story turns out bad. We've seen that time and again.

Seriously, anyone who actually thinks the first season was 'good' just because it was better than what came after, is deluding themselves and needs to re-watch it, but they won't because deep inside they know it was still garbage. Same with shows like Mandalorian and Andor from Disney, just because it's 'marginally better than the rest of their current slop' doesn't mean it's good. It's still extremely poorly written poorly paced shiny nostalgia baiting slop churned out as fast as possible to sell merch and ticket sales. All of these shows, especially the fantasy ones IE Witcher, Wheel of Time, even billion dollar Rings of Power just have this cheap overly CGI'd, mass produced shitty cosplay outfits looking quality to them that are impossible to look past, and that's not even getting onto the stories and hamfisted diverse characters that look completely out of place. Oh sure some of the big set pieces look great and big sweeping CGI landscapes often look stunning, but whenever there's a big fight the cracks immediately show and it just becomes this blurry sludgefest. Hell, even Game of Thrones after the first few rocky episodes in season 1, managed to coalesce into something great (for the first 4-5 seasons at least...) and yet these other shows just can't manage it. But hey look twitter there's lots of african and arab and indian and persian looking people everywhere in literally every single city, town and even remote village where that wouldn't even be physically possible given the like three total houses in the village but hey diversity is our strength for some reason, so that's good right?

I dont think that the replacement is unlikeable... in fact Liam is likeable, but he needs to get as big as his brother to be believable. People dont want to see another other than Henry, thats all. Also lets be honest, the actress playing Jennyfer is not great at all. They should have pick someone hot like in the game, she is a downgrade. With Henry she look just common. She could be recast and nobody would care. In fact Siri is very... forgettable too. None of these actresses are memorable, so in the end it was Henry and Henry and nothing else mattered.

Liam is not unliked, but he is not the Witcher. Henry can’t be beaten, and Liam also has this constant sad face, that is a problem for a Witcher. If it goes on like that, Liam has not a lot to do a lot anyways. In season 3 there was almost no Witcher in the Witcher.
