This was one of the worst times in Agassi's life ! Brooke was controlling, a whiner, spoiled, Andre was losing a lot, he was miserable ! After the split, when Andre and Steffi met ! Things got better, Andre started to win again ! Steffi was a quiet comforter, and understood the tour demands and what was needed of her. They had a natural vibe and chemistry, and it's still good now. Brooke went on to have a family, but she just never had that comfort zone. Andre and Steffi have it. And they don't seek the spotlight, it's wonderfully private.

My daughter was a bartender in Vegas when they came in..several times toward the early part of their marriage. Brooke ended up going around apologizing to everyone. Sounds like Agassi was a control freak and a narcissist, or, at the very least, exhibited narcissistic tendencies. He was only interested in being a tennis winner and Brooke was suppose to be his arm candy who wasn’t allowed to make him look bad even if it was all about a silly script in a tv show. Had he been less concerned about the whole scene, it never would have been an issue. He’s a gas lighter who accused her of being shallow when, in reality, that was his gig. And what was up with trashing all his awards? A move designed to say, “look what you made me do!” And then to have another tennis celebrity’s wife broadcast that she had them fixed and replaced out of personal selfishness. She could have walked out on the marriage and left him knee high in his trashed awards. But rather than let him be the victim of his own nonsense, she like the enabler that she had been raised to be, had them all repaired, something that he could easily have done himself. I certainly don’t recall her demanding any of his awards in their divorce settlement. According to what has been videoed here, she was more supportive of him than he was of her.

You say 'to say, "look what you made me do"' others say 'because she was just a trophy to him' or 'its symbolic of what he wants to do with her' but it's all just guess work. Maybe it was to say 'these things don't mean anything to me compared to you'. The fact is we just don't know. What we do know is that they were HIS trophies and normally people think you're entitled to smash up your own things even if it's immature and futile.
