To echo a lot of other comments, I actually like you doing "normal" cars. While it's great that you and Mat and mates, he's clearly gone the way of exotics etc. I think differentiating yourself by doing the "normal" cars is a great idea! I'd rather see the Vantage gone in place of a couple normal projects for variety 😊 Either way, one of my favourite channels! Keep up the good work. Not unreasonable asking prices for unique cars, indeed mods tend to be of no interest to dealers but for a private buyer looking for something a bit special, definitely cheaper than attempting to DIY

Pricing category cars, you are letting your heart rule your head. Remember your potential buyer is also at some point going to be a seller of the car that he buys and by the time he wants to sell any sentiment for the you tube rebuild will well and truly have vanished. Hand on heart all your prices seem high but I wish you the best of luck with the sales and future projects.

Best wishes Chris, and don't let anyone kick you whilst you're taking a knock. It's only temporary if you are prepared to both take a financial hit, and form a revised solid business plan for the future. You've arguably made a mistake with your honesty / openness (as potential buyers will attempt to seriously cash in), but that's often how truly nice guys are particularly if young and still learning the ways of the world. A tip for the future if I may be cheeky: If you are single then find a partner (not necessarily romantic) who totally compliments you as the world is far too tough to take on alone! Possibly a great financial manager / planner as possessing passion, skill, and drive is never enough. And no one person has a comprehensive set of talents. Very wide based talents may begin to come together through experience once you are approaching retirement age, but you deserve a successful life well before then.

Difficult to get your money back cos it doesn’t really work like that. Modding a car makes the value go down not up. Not to mention some of them have been write offs, don’t think they’re worth what you’re wanting unfortunately. Hope you get what you want though and I’m excited for the next chapter lad

It’s worth what’s someone is willing to pay for it. Mods do add value if the buyer sees the value in it, normally not dollar for dollar but. . . As for the write off issue, as seen, the repairs are next level (like Matt Armstrong’s). Chris is just getting his money back, not much (if any) profit. I bet Chris gets the prices he wants, or pretty close 😜

The vantage needs a twin plate clutch with lightened flywheel. It the same cost as a stock single plate so no brainer. Did it to mine, lighter clutch pedal, engine spins up faster ..... Perfect. A very worthwhile upgrade. £28K is probably a little rich ... Trade on mine a 25k mile undamaged fully OEM serviced and upgraded Vantage is a smidge over £28!!! Values are dropping ... Just look at the classifieds and see how many cars are being reduced due to not selling.

Nope prices are not dropping 3 years ago I wanted shut of my ex mrs, I looked at what I could get outta my house and I’d have £25k to blast on a 05 vantage no problem . Looking around 3 years ago £22k to £27k got a nice vantage from say £22k around 75k miles to 45k miles being £27k Took 3 years and the house went up so I had 100k and the astons had slightly gone higher so say a 60k miler nice history £26k ish , I’m now though looking at lambos and can’t find a nice manual but that’s a different story but 1000% the prices of nice miles 05 06 07 vantages have risen slightly over 3 years

It all comes down to risk, mat sells his tickets via his much larger following and there is no guarantee I would be able to sell all the tickets. If I tried this and it went badly it could mean having to stop the channel all together which is not something I want to risk happening!

Although I don’t know what is involved with outlay but No risk No Reward. For me it’s a safe bet as a viewer who would like a car for a raffle ticket price. You cameo on Matts channel all the time maybe folks don’t know about your channel I didn’t until I visited. I’m sure it would work & help you both get bigger & more structured although think you have ways to go to catch Matt. But I think it’s a good structure for you both to grow giving away cars alternatively. Btw did you pass on my dodgey mix to Matt. honestly, I understand if the creator will sell some of this cars that he built. It takes a big budget to finish a normal car and make it road worthy, that price would be double for luxury brand cars. Maybe, moving forward there would be an auction or raffle for the cars would also be an option, then your subscribers ("us") would be able to buy a ticket for the raffle. As long as you have the receipts of all the parts that you've placed into the cars then, your good plus the videos that you made are documents enough of the car.
