The REAL Reason Why Michael Jordan CAN’T HELP Anthony Edwards according to Gilbert Arenas as No Chill Gil & the Gil’s Arena Crew react to the reports of Anthony Edwards reaching out to Michael Jordan for help on how to break a double team and discuss why it was crazy for the Minnesota Timberwolves superstar to reach out to the NBA GOAT when he hasn’t touched an NBA court in nearly 20 years.
Gil’s Arena premieres every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

Are you dumb current players always help and train with current players Lebron and kd use to workout together when thy both was in they prime and going at it for best player in the league, curry Has trained with Steph , the list goes on and on lol I wish more dudes would work with Kyrie he’s literally the most skilled player ever imagine a guy like Tyrese maxey working out with Kyrie and adding some of Kyries bag to his ky can help with him finishing around the rim with soft touch doing his lay drills that are unique to Kyries training on top of tht all The different moves he has in his arsenal if maxey gets a little bit of that in his bag who tf gon guard him that boy too fast 😭 but i say all tht to say this there’s no reason why a guy wouldn’t give advice or train with a younger player or someone looking to get better this league is different back in the day alot of these guys actually are cool off the court or have a enough of a relationship to text each other and link for a workout or whatever but tbh Gil is kinda right I don’t agree with all his takes sometimes and. I know some of yall like to think he hating or “ acting like He knows what he’s talking about “ as yall say lol but on this specific topic I agree if I was ant I woulda asked James harden , Kyrie , curry guys like that who are somewhat similar in height and has faced countless double teams and routinely beats them Devin booker is another guy or jus watch more film and do the research yourself on top of that id tell my teammates in practice double me in practice the way you would a scoring threat in a real game and then ant can jus practice stuff and try new things without having to wordy about any expectations or anything like that since it’s practice ant also needs to get his bag up if he gets more go to moves and counters he’d be something should work on his middy game with implementing some moves to help his post game Phil handy could help him with tht he trained Kobe and he was. A lethal mid range player ant can definitely shoot the 3 but he’s best whn he’s goin down hill being athletic he reminds me of young Jordan/. D wade he could quite literally be the best player in the league id take him over shai idc what nobody says ant could be unstoppable i wish he didn’t shoot thr 3 like hes a 3pt specialist or something I feel like hes settling for tht ever since the Olympics he’s been shooting way more 3s last season it was more interior and him leaping over people yeah he’d shoot but he was slamming tht mf down on anyone

Lol. There was a survey before on legends of their craft, they were asked if they still continue to do what their best at and only 10% answered yes. Like most of them only kept the most important instruments or other stuff and they kept it as a furniture in their house never touch or use it again for decades until they die. Their reasoning was for them after they retired they felt freedom for once in their life and those things are the reminders of their sufferings so they vowed to never use it again and for them to try new things in their lives. Do you think MJ will have a different mindset than them? For the most part he suffered atleast x2 than these people.

The premise isn't wrong, but the execution could be seen poorly. You can ask for help, but if you're asking the wrong person for help, you won't be able to maximize the knowledge they're trying to pass down. Application to the game and to the player themselves matters. Can't be asking a predominant offensive ISO-scheme player who has the ball 99% of the time on defensive moves or how to play zones if that's not part of their game. But I agree, if I was Ant, I'd reach out to my father MJ too if I needed help.

Offended? Lol.. yeah right. Gil’s basketball history IQ is amazingly low, and yours must be too. Jordan use to split pick n rolls all the time, and was great at it. Growing up in Chicago, D-Wade watched this every day. And that’s why Kobe called D-Wade and asked him how he splits the pick n roll so well.

@@cooleekbrown1728 When I watch today’s 🏀.. I see 4 on 1 fastbreaks that result in a three point attempt ( miss ). Sorry, but understanding the game isn’t required today. You can be mentally weak with zero fundamentals, and make an NBA roster.

Lol wtf are these dudes even talking about. Since Ant-Man has reached out to MJ on his double teams...this is the quote I just read. "The talk seems to have worked, at least a little. In his last five games, Edwards has averaged 30.2 points and 6.2 assists per game (up from 26.3 and 4.4 for the season), and he’s shooting 44% from 3." That was from 7 days ago. Since then, he put up another 36 and then another 33 point game. Obviously the advice worked lol

In my opinion, I think the Wolves should consider implementing the triangle. The offensive was built for players with Ants talents and skills. That offense will allow him to catch the ball in positions that would discourage a double team or allow him to make a play before it came. It worked for Jordan and Kobe. I believe Ant is good enough to make it work as well.
