The REAL Reason Zira Hated Mufasa's Pride So Much…

There's actually a darker reason that Zira hated the Pridelands so much in the Lion King, and it had everything to do with Scar and his choice in a mate...
The brief but seemingly impactful time jump between The Lion King and The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride gave fans a lot to ponder about the Pride Lands and the new mysterious, villainous lioness. Zira was cunning and intimidating enough to give even Scar a run for his money, but one thing that many fans couldn’t quite figure out was exactly WHY she hated Mufasa and now Simba’s pride so much. Well, thanks to The Lion Guard and a Deluxe theory, I think we’ve finally figured out what made Zira such a fierce foe, and where her hatred toward the Pride Landers came from.

Huh, and I thought that it was just because of the Simba killing Scar, her supposed “true leader/love”, but Scar abandoning Zira could’ve is quite justified now that I think about it.

I heard when Zira, Sarabi, Mufasa, Taka and Sarafina were cubs they were friends but Taka loved Sarabi and Sarafina even though Sarabi loved Mufasa more that made Zira very jealous

Zira is one of the most underrated Disney villains ever, I'm really glad this channel actually talks about her a great deal. Maybe their love was more of a one sided affair and Scar simply used her to get an heir and was unhappy with how Nuka turned out, hence why he chose Kovu as his heir despite the lion not being his son.

Scar was in love with Sarabi, I think he had a fling with Sarafina, and had some kind of trauma bond with Zira

Zira's not Kovu's adopted mother, she's his biological mother. Scar's the one that's not at all related to him.

My theory is that Zira hated Mufasa's pride because she was Scar's mate and she thought that Simba is responsible for Scar's death, and that lead to hate his entire family. We don't know how Scar and Zira meet but in my opinion they meet eachother when they were cubs and because Zira looked like Sarabi he fell in love with her, since he had a crush on Sarabi but she rejected him because she was already in love with Mufasa, however he still had feelings for Sarabi and that made Zira jealous, but she didn't had a problem with Nala since she knew she was using her to get a healthy heir (they had Nuka but he was born sick due to his genes, and he wasn't fit for the throne)

Nuka is Scar's actual son? Cool I didn't realize that. There's a theory that Vitanni is Nala's.

@@UnfazedPhoenix in my theory Nuka is Scar's and Zira's real son because he has gray-Brown fur and Red eyes just like Zira and black mane like Scar, and I think Vitani's parents are Tama and Tojo because Tama has the same hair tuft as Vitani and Tojo has blue eyes like Vitani (ik her eyes are blue-purple, but sometimes we see her eyes as Blue)

It would’ve been better if instead of Scar trying to get with Nala in the deleted scene, Sarafina (Nala’s mother) approaches to tell Scar of how she really feels and understands him ever since they were younger. Then she tells Scar she actually loves him🤷🏾‍♂️

The hyenas aren't in lion king 2 because lions and hyenas don't get along. Simba drove them off of the pridelands. Plus we already had a conflict with hyenas in lion king 1 why bring it back? Lion king 2 is focused on the two lion prides. And hyenas wouldn't be in the lion guard because again lions and hyenas don't coexist together in this universe. Scar is the only one who made that union. It's pretty obvious....

@@UnfazedPhoenix True the hyenas that are in the lion king aren't in the Lion Guard but Kion does meet other ones including Jazeeri and her clan they become friends teaming up several times. He and his friends also meet 3 other bad hyenas as well.

You guys must of read my comment about Zira’s delusional obsession of Scar to now make a video of it. My fan theory is that Zira drove Nala out of the pride lands. 1. To rid and completion for Scar 2. She believes Scar and her are destined and she in her delusional mind thinks she’s his devoted Queen. 3. Scar gives her the ear notch for not only driving out Nala but letting one of his pride members escape. But Zira still loves him. 4. Scar probably had her go on a wild goose chase, when she returned, Scar was dead and Simba was now king. She had no idea what happened but she attacked Simba out of revenge and got banished for it.

Well yea. It never made sense to me why Scar would have followers in the first place. When he was king everyone in the pridelands suffered.

I'm wondering if maybe the reason she has such a fierce need to take the throne was because throughout the first movie she wasn't able to attend to scar due to some illness or something. Then after finding out scar died she has a need to proove that she is as big a tough lioness as she comes off as and right this *wrong* she did towards scar by taking the thing at long last and maintain it versus how it was with scar as kovu is a spitting image of scar almost and fulfill what she thinks is where she failed. All this is an emotional thing of course as a pride is all a lion has right?
