Yeah this is a common gimmick many use..promising promising and feeding you enough anxiety and fear that by the end you buy. It's really insidious and I've fallen for it before. Some of us get to very desperate points in our journeys and this is a person who preys on people in those states.

I love how matter-of-fact and honest you were about still associating a lower weight as a "good" thing, and that your solution is to avoid that data. It is so helpful to hear that sometimes navigating those self-esteem traps means healthy avoidance, you don't necessarily need to magically change years of societal programming. Your messaging is always so on point! Thank you!

Glad I saw your video when I googled vshred reviews. I was tempted in purchasing the $57 for the program when the ad popped up to take the quiz when I was watching a KZbin video. When I first saw the video after taking the quiz I thought finally something I can afford that's in my budget. Have been looking online like Instagram for online coaching programs but they're asking for thousands. One guy wanted to charge me almost $5000 for a year one on one including his app with exercises. I'm a beginner when it comes to lifting weights and working out. I've been losing weight but I've been yoyoing for a couple of weeks and am looking for someone with the answer to guide me into doing things the right way where I'll see results and not have lose skin. I guess I'll continue to look around until I find something that'll help me achieve my goal without breaking the bank into debt. Thanks for your video again. Happy Holidays!

He's basically telling me I can't do what I already did. I replaced sugary drinks with lots of water. I reduced my carbs and sugar and walked on my treadmil 5 miles a day. I lost 43 lbs in 7 months. 7 months sounds like a long time I know but I've kept it off for 6 months so far. I worked hard but didn't starve myself. 35 to 40 lbs was my goal. Prayer and the healthy habits I learned along the way have helped me keep the weight off.

I've lost 40 lbs so far. I just plan my meals and snacks for the day with my fitness pal tracker. I find ways to have 3 meals and 2 snacks without going over on my calories. I also exercise a few days a week. Carbs is what keeps you from losing weight. I try to stay under 25 carbs, with a few days here and there where I go over a bit on my carbs.

You have got to learn how to cook healthy, make healthier deserts, choose healthier snacks. Only drink water w an occasional coffee. If you like pizza...learn to make it a healthier way with cauliflower crust. If you like cake.. learn to make it w almond or coconut flour instead of reg our. Limit fruit. For me, periodic fasting plus walking on a treadmill at 3mph at an incline for 3-5 miles X number of times a time works. I can usually drop a good amount of weight when I try. This approach saves on the knees and joints. You don't need to sprint yourself to death on the treadmill to get in shape.

Thank you so much for this! I fell for the ads being thrown in my face during this new year and decided to give it a shot by just paying their $60 to get the meal plan and the exercise videos and the metabolism assessment... I got absolutely nothing out of it except the realization that if I didn't buy all the supplements I wouldn't succeed. If I didn't follow everything they said as opposed to maybe another personal trainer or a dietitian or a nutritionist. I wouldn't succeed. For my metabolism assessment. I never got a score I was just told I'm on the lower end and I really need to do this that in the other aka by their supplements in order to succeed in achieving my fitness goals. I have written to them with my complaints and I am no longer pursuing the shred. I'm going to return to what always worked for me before I stopped exercising and maintaining my healthy diet! Thank you!!!! PS I complained and got my full refund!

I do intermittent fasting with low carb (I am class 2 obese) for a few months now and never get hungry but the total loss of appetite has become a huge pain in the aaa. Life is emptier when you're not getting any joy out of food, the weight loss is fast but I have to choke down food I don't want every day, and if I don't make myself eat enough I'm exhausted the next day. I'd much rather get hungry sometimes but also be able to enjoy eating. I may need to drop the low carb :(

Just came across this video after watching the body type thing and I'm glad I did. I'm starting a weight loss journey but I've always had it in my mind that I don't want to make myself miserable so I am not completely changing my diet so that I hate what I eat, I'm just not eating as big of portions and I'm trying to snack less, drink less soda etc. Alongside this I've joined the gym and I am doing daily walks to and from work whilst having a couple of rest days. I don't eat the most healthy even after these changes but I think I would rather have slow gradual loss than completely hate my life and relationship with food for the forseeable future.

I agree with you on many of your points. Carb cycling, while it is effective, is an advanced tool that should only be utilized for certain purposes. most people cannot sustain this diet and it does not help the overall issues. I agree also that the restrict then eat what you want is bad. I think the biggest issue for people is they have a bad relationship with food. they do not know how to eat healthier or understand what and how much they should eat. the binge/restrict further hurts their understanding of healthy eating habits and keeps them going up and down. i think many experts promote this so that they can keep people coming back as recurring clients. I think we need to be more mindful about how we describe people who are overweight. i don't think we should demonize nor say it is ok. If you are overweight, you still deserve all the rights any other person deserves. no one should insult you. However, it is not ok as it can lead to health problems and you should work to find some solution.

I’ve listened to several of these diet/weight loss gurus and lose interest with them loving to hear themselves talk minutes into their over long sales pitches. They always claim they’re going to reveal 3 or 5 secrets…and they never do. They throw enough scientific sounding words in to sound logical and authoritative. Then the huckster price reduction and finally trying to make you feel guilty and ashamed if you don’t immediately hand over your credit card info for this deal that only lasts until the video ends. I’m so sick of these shysters preying on people’s insecurities. I’ve wasted enough of my time listening to these people just being curious what they have to say-and they ALL spend (waste your time)way too much time over explaining some plan ONLY they have discovered. I get upset with myself every time I listen to one of these videos-no more! I keep blocking these ads but they are ubiquitous online. I appreciate your straightforward approach and that you’re not selling some gee whiz, foolproof diet plan. Keep up the good work!

@JustinaErcole So what is ur advice for endo morphs? I’m 42 and my metabolism started slowing down after I hit age 35. I had to stop working outside of my house bcuz of the extra weight I gained that has been causing me severe back/sciatica pain. PT hasn’t helped and I know it’s from the extra weight I carry. I used to be 125/130 easily. I was 118 when I got married 13 years ago. I still took daily walks and hit the gym once a wk for bike cardio and weightlifting. I’ve been roller skating since I was a kid and I’ve been playing roller derby off and on for 10 years. I used to love cardio and now I’m stuck on an inhaler. I know hiit workouts are good, but I have a bad ankle from a derby injury 6 years ago. I try to eat a balanced diet with carbs, protein, and veggies. I love my greens. But carbs are my vice too and I prob eat more than I should. I know processed foods and frozen foods are bad for u too. I cut out soda prob 50-60%, I drink mío flavored water (lemon mainly), I’m trying to limit my caffeine, I drink plexus slim packet drinks atleast 1x a day, I take a daily vitamin, and GOLI gummies (red, blue, green and orange) alternated through the day, I used to take a probiotic but ran out of them. I’m trying to right for myself, but gym workouts are limited bcuz of my body-aches and pain. I’ve taken on new hobbies like gardening w/ lots of house plants. I have super low motivation. So what’s a good diet based on my body type? My DR has mentioned my weight and because of my blood work and all my naturally anemic, possible cholesterol probs, and pre diabetic. I’m on permanent prozac so I don’t know if that affects my weight but it’s the only thing to keep me sane in my house with my moods and anxiety. My mom has always been thin, but at 70 now has a pooch which is understandable. We’ve done a 3 month stint 2x a wk of pilates and I had to stop at 2 months because of my sciatica on my left side which I’m guessing is from the extra weight my body holds on my midsection and lower body. She criticizes my weight and I hate it. My thighs, chest and midsection have all my extra weight. I know with men they can lose weight easier than women, my hubby quit drinking and instantly in 3 months lost 20 lbs and he is back to his lean self he was when we got married. I want to do vshred, but u basically say it’s bad. So what would u suggest?? Pls help…Thx

The guy in the videos (ads) always says that cardio isn't a good way to lose weight or burn fat, that it actually makes you gain weight (???) I weighed 107kg back in 2020, two years ago I moved to another place close to the beach and I go out for walks every single day (also walk my dog long distances 3 times a day) and two years later I'm at 85kg. Still have about 10 kilos to drop, but I'm proud of what I've achieved just by going on walks, which is a form or cardio.

Ok. But I’ve watched the intermittent fasting videos. The carnivore diet. The keto diet. I lost weight on carnivore but that’s not realistic with kids. So, I’m a 51 year old male. I weigh 220 and should be around 165. How do I get down to my goal weight?

So the other part you didn't get to is that the other part of his solution is that dietary fat enables better absorption of certain vitamins/minerals and that is has "nutrients to burn fat" His second half is about HIIT and how it depletes your oxygen stores, which your body takes 24-48 hours to recover. Basically 15 minutes of HIIT 3 times a week and the oxygen magic has you burning fat "24/7" I wish you'd finished the video (it let me pause, must be a women's thing) because I would like to hear the science on that half as well. I'd also love an episode on starvation mode! Great content as always!

According to Wikipedia (the source of all knowledge in the world), the students who were photographed by Sheldon did not give consent to be photographed for his study. They were told that the study was about human posture, hence the name given to the set of photographs… Sheldon was also cooking up these wacky theories to help bolster his eugenics work… All together about as reliable as phrenology (bumpy head people.) 2:53

Have you ever read “The Nutrition Almanac “ from the 80’s ? The basis for the book was to separate carbs and proteins when eating as the stomach can’t digest both at the same time because carbs digest differently than proteins. Example hamburger takes hours verses an apple or romaine lettuce would be digested in less than hour. Fats are digested with even different amounts of gastric fluids. Therefore if you were to eat carbs first then protein later then you body is fueled for energy and then powered by protein later . And you digest more efficiently and therefore more leanly. When I followed this book nutrition in the 80’s I was the healthiest and had not only a 6pack but had better deltoids than most men. I exercised 5-7 days a week and ate every meal. Ate carbs but had them in an order that my body could process them. I am an old lady today and a care giver to my mother and grandchild so my days are filled. I also am limited in my mobility due to a car accident that messed up my body in many ways with pain and other issues. However, I would be interested in your thoughts about the book and its theories today.

I took the quiz in many ways, only changing the weight the the final question. The final question is the only question which determines which video you will be shown. I watched all the videos at once, and the programs aren't much different from each other. I was disappointed only one of the three had a long story, hahhahaha, I was invested in Kathy's story and I wanted to hear two more! 🦋✨ p.s. I only watched the women videos.
