Let me correct something :D once you bought most of the atom shop items you will not receive any new things at weekly update only after updates you might see some cool new things about 0-2000 atom price. As i am a wallet player i am not getting new cool thinks plus i can not show what i totally have at map even at one shelter... it gets 3-4 shelter i guess. My advice is do not buy anything if it is necessary to your camp built i did and i am very upset about it because i lose my playing motivation. (only i am feeling that motivation with your camp built videos :D )

I'm occasionally Fallout 1st. For instance, I signed up in December because I wanted to make sure I got to 100 on the score board for this season and wanted some of the 1st items on it. I also fill up my ammo and scrap boxes. I did this one other time too. I will cancel this month. So I just do it occasionally for a month with this kind of strategy.

I am a fallout first member, me and hubby started playing in September 2024, for Christmas we gave either other the big atom bundle and a year of Fallout First. We each by 1 big atom bundle every two weeks. Once it and the ones from our 1st are gone we are done except if it is a birthday then that person is going to get an additional bundle as a gift. (Ya this month it is me). I'm am not a spender and only by what I really like or need. My hubby has to have it all but we both have the same budget. We just love the game.

I don't have fallout 1st. Mostly the tricky parts is not be able to store the junk, ammo in the special chest, but sometimes they give you a free trial for fallout 1st, that's when I pile up all the ammo and junks

In a game that a subscription isn't required, I 100% don't mind having a shop for cosmetic items. I definitely buy a good amount of atoms weekly and don't mind paying to support a game I love to play. That said, some of the bundles are outrageously priced, you just have to ignore them even though that one shiny thing you want is in there. I also do fallout 1st as it makes the game 1000% more enjoyable. 1st does get close to that magical line of pay 2 win with some of the things locked behind that pay wall, but they haven't crossed it yet.

Thanks for the video. I'm just putting in an aside note regarding SCORE, and Fallout 1st, because they are tangentially related to atoms. Perhaps not all 1st members don't know it, but you can do 95% of score challenges on custom worlds. I do this all the time, because I have created one custom world I call "Easy" because it has: free fast travel, free crafting (you can craft anything without needing materials/ingredients), all mods learned, zero damage taken to yourself (except rads can't be turned off, for some reason), "nuclear" damage to enemies, "nuclear" jump height, etc. It helps me go through the challenges much faster and cheaper than on a public or private world.

You can open a ticket on Bethesda support. Just go B’s main site and it’s like any other business where you can contact support. Request a refund will be one of the options. An occasional slip of the finger may be forgiven, but if you are accidentally buying things by pressing the wrong button all the time, they’ll probably turn your request down. I agree it’s a bad design bordering on a dark pattern, but this is just how it is. Requesting refunds for items that are actually defective or obviously not as advertised is the only strategy that I advise and support. People getting refunds like on amazon, returning everything just because we tried it for a day and changed our mind is how we’ll get refunds removed all together. That’s why I say don’t abuse this option please.

I agree! The Atomic Shop and the FO1st Atoms are like in real life, the cost of goods are going up, but our monthly Salaries aren’t! That’s why I have set rules for myself when it comes to the Atom Shop. 1) Unless it’s the last piece or two of a Bundle I don’t have, I’m not buying it. And 2) Unless it’s 50% Off, I will not buy it. The cost of these “Pretend” items are outrageous as it is, and paying Full Price for these items only encourages them to keep raising the price. I’m sorry, but ONE PA Skin or a Weather Station are not worth $12 of REAL money!

I'm pretty ambivalent about 1st and the Atom Shop. The shine wore off the atom shop a couple years ago and now it's rare to see new items that are really interesting at all, and most of the good new stuff has been reskins of good old stuff (same with seasonal event rewards tbh). It's been a while since I've bought atoms, but I used to pretty regularly. One thing I've noticed with the shop is that right before a big release of newly themed items comes out they'll have a big sale on old bundles. They really want you to spend down your balance before the new goodies hit the shop. The nice thing is that by then you've seen all that old stuff in game so much you have a better idea of what's worth buying, meanwhile you can assume all the new stuff will be mostly a buggy mess so no need to rush.

Part of the issue, IMHO, is that some people think the "need" certain atomic shop items, and if they are unable or unwilling to buy them outright or wait until they earn them in some other way, they feel "fomo" and get upset...

I am fallout 1st and have around 11,000 atoms. I tend to wait to the last few days before I make a purchase. This gives me time to watch your reviews as well as travel the wasteland seeing the item in action at other players camps. If I like what I see, I will then buy it. Other times I will just wait and see if it shows up again at a lower price. Thank you for your videos.

Another budge friendly thing that I always do is to watch Gamer_Aviator - they give great reviews on items and will even purchase and demo stuff if your really need too. Like this week I was on the fence about the Palace but I watched the live stream and then followed up with Noodle's walkthrough and build and decided I really had to have it for my collection. I'm working on my own build with it and I am loving it.

I own 32K atoms. I have FO1st and buy things I really like and know I’ll use. Also, I rarely buy bundles. And with the camp budget I don’t see the point of spending atoms on things I can’t add to my camp.

I currently have 43321 Atoms. I have Fallout 1st and have completed almost every challenge for Atoms except for some really, really high end ones like playing the game for 7600 hours. I have completed every season and collected most of the items from those. I've never bought any items under the emotes, Icons, utility, photomode, styles, skins or apparel tabs. I mostly buy C.A.M.P. items and one extra C.A.M.P. slot and one extra loadout. I rarely buy anything that isn't on sale and I buy individual items from bundles. I'm the same in Elder Scrolls Online. I think I have about 63000 crowns in that game. So I guess it depends on why you play the game. If you play just to play the game and have fun running around or if you play the game to look cool and impress other players. I just couldn't care less about how my character looks and don't even look at other players.

You can select the ones you’re interested in running now and they will appear on your screen as current missions. When you’re looking at them the button controls for that will be on the bottom of your screen. I select 5 or 6 at a time as to not crowd my screen too much. When they’re selected this way you also get visual and audio cues when you advance in them.

I've purchased items and never used them due to camp budget limitations. I don't mind using the prefabs, but I prefer to create my own structure which eats through camp budget quickly. Trying to show restraint this year, but it's difficult with the direction of the pricing. Bethesda definitely pushes FOMO with the availability and how the packages are bundled. Was going to get the counterfeit cap press bundle because I liked many of the things in it, but I refuse to buy them individually at the higher price since they pulled the package. It's as if they found a way to win by screwing up.

Crazy thing about FO1st, even if you get it for just the Atoms, it's around $8 a month for 1,650 Atoms. Plus you get all the other perks. So few items come up each week in the shop that I want that I always have a fairly high amount. I've actually never had to buy Atoms outside of FO1st.

Free weekends are enough for me to keep my scrap stock and ammo reserves up. I'm not a builder my bases are a box, and I put stuff I need only in the box. I only buy things from atom shop that effect the game like resource generators and the occasional thing that's on sale. I have just under 50k atoms. I honestly have nothing against fallout 1st but, I do believe that fallout 1st players are generally slower and less efficient players. For example, fallout 1st players loot everything all the time and at every event, then put your camp down organize your loot, deal with being overweight cause there always overweight even though they run lazy builds that allow them to carry more than is reasonable anyways. And by the time they have done all that I've already completed 3 more events done a raid or completed all my dailies.

i dont get why people dont like fallout first. i dont use it right now, but i will again. they have it set up to where you can pull out of your fallout first boxes even if you dont have it active. so for me i sub to be able to use the perks of the boxes to clean my stash and get my weight down and use it for anything i want to buy in the shop, then turn it off. i can still get my stuff out of those boxes, so its not a big deal. i dont think people hate fallout first as a thing itself but hate how prominent it is inside the game. every camp you go to has multiple fallout first items and boxes, some loading screen, even the main menu, you just cant escape it. its like youtube asking you 8 times a day to upgrade to youtube premium, just stop, im not doing it. i think that at least adds a lot of fuel to the fire.

The atom shop bundles are so confusing where the picture items aren't in the same order as the listed items, it's soooo easy say that you thought that the 'framicam' listed in the text referred to the goo-gah in the image, and that the bundle ad amouted to an illegal bait and switch. So, they have a real-world incentive to just refund your virtual currency. The fact that the images and descriptions aren't in the same order is a good thing for consumers that want to get a refund, even though it's extremely annoying for everyone looking for that special thing in the image that happened to not actually be in the bundle. I don't know anyone who quit over the out of order bundle descriptions; that is probably why they don't bother paying the salary of a developer to make sure they match. Shoddy workmanship is allowed (encouraged?) if it doesn't lose customers.

Personally I think fallout 1st isn't all bad but at the same time it's not for me, I have other games I like to play and sometimes I forget about fallout 1st and I don't see the point in paying for a subscription I'm not using, I do wish there was a better way to get atoms without having to pay real money, it's one of those things where it's all about personal preference, if you're a content creator and you can monetize your content then it's an investment you can get a return on and that makes sense, but if you play once a week or don't even like the game for whatever reason, you don't really need it, but that's 2 ends of a spectrum and there's anything in between, that's my opinion tho

Also, the atoms earned for the world challenges are pretty stingy - explore Appalachia for 7600 hours and only get 40 atoms?! Really? You can’t buy a damn thing for that, lol.

I over paid for an item! It was an ashtray with a lit cigar, looks good with my build. Cost: 250 atoms Actual appraisal: 50 atoms I would have happily paid 50 atoms for it! I think the prices in the store are way too high, 700 atoms for some wall decoder is absurd imo. Getting 500 atoms for 5€ doesn't really get you anywhere, and i think a big price cut on items without needing fallout 1st would get players to spend more money thus everyone wins.

I think Fallout First is reasonably priced...I spend a lot of time on the game, more hours than I get out of streaming services that are as or more expensive than Fallout First. But the prices in the Atomic Shop are escalating, and bundle quality deteriorating. The prime items are often in a bundle only and either not offered individually or priced quite high. That is crummy.😣

The game is rigged to get you to spend money monthly. Since I recently quit Fallout 1st, and lost access to the scrap and ammo boxes, I realized that the change they made to the item drops of enemies makes not having access to those a major problem. With vendors only having so many caps per day, you wind up dropping stuff to maintain weight. I still crash at least once an hour, and until that is fixed, I just can’t justify the monthly expense.

Without Fallout 1st this game turns into a junk drawer simulator. I started in April 2024 and after a month purchased F1st for the year since it averages out to .28 cents a day, which is certainly worth my sanity. I would argue that the monthly atom stipend needs to be increased, and that F1st rewards in general need to be increased, but overall always have atoms on hand as I only purchase items when discounted. Also to add, I believe the shop is predatorial especially towards women, They should be okay with lowering prices and offer more free stuff because it is all virtual. Our real life do not reflect the grind in fallout. if ppl spend time on your game from work or anything. take care of them thats all i want to see. todd.

The contest thing is stupid anyways because the winners are the people that already spend on atom shop like its a candy machine 😂. I think atomic shop and the mtx meta for gaming in general is going to kill most gaming. I only play Fallout 76 because my wife likes it. Otherwise I find it gross to play a game where 80-90% of the content is locked away behind a paywall the moment you buy it. Its also kinda shitty in this situation because the game is so buggy and frustrating that it feels like youre paying (if you have fallout first) to be dinked by Bethesda. Bethesda Tx is horrible about updating game breaking bugs (Events crashing constantly, caravans not working, etc...) but will hotfix/address anything that is fun or hurts their bottom dollar within hours (more people able to play raids together, a shop item that was free but wasnt supposed to be). The game is only fun at times for me but its held back by the horrible monetization and the fact that, in typical Bethesda fashion, things that are broken stay broken until its a serious problem.

"if it's as simples as submitting five pictures of your camp why not do it?" well because then all you've done is put in effort to lose, it's the same reason it's not worth submitting camps for those KZbin videos, there is already someone 130 times better then you submitting so all you are doing is wasting your own time and getting your hopes up to have them kicked in the dirt, i learned that the hard way back in Halo Reach for the 360 i must have submitted over 200 custom Forge maps for youtubers, Halo events and just onto the share system and never once even got an honorable mention for my work, taught me an important lesson though in not trying

Sure, your odds of winning are astronomically low. That's kind of the point of a competition that magnitude. And that's why this is not a reliable method to get atoms, but it IS a possibility, so I had to mention it. I wouldn't compare it to KZbin competitions though. Those ... CAN be soul crushing :D Because well, not all of them are run fairly or professionally. Bethesda is not going to pick favorites. @@Gamer_Aviator while i would like to agree with you on Bethesda not picking favourites there is a good chance they will, same thing happens in their other games, the same content creators are often the ones they use or let win because they know it's a safe option to just have them win because it's safter then having to go though the process of risking someone they pick causing drama. Reminds me of a season of Master Chef Australia actually, a better more qualified contestant with a higher skill level was given third place in a rigged vote because the other two possible winners both presented a better media and sales profile to the person they put in third place i believe he went on to sue them over it

Todd needs 24x the money 😂 atomic shop is a scam cause they can just decide to take away like the bottle cap maker, yes its broken. But its not my fault that they put it into the game at a broken state. It's pretty bad that they make you pay real money for a product that was broken from the start😂

atoms are way overpriced consideringin game assets are free or cost a very small fraction of what atom shop wants in omparison. with fallout 1st, at the most, bundles should be automatic 50% off, at all times, all of them. ive stopped buying them because principal....never pay for over priced sht

Unfortunately, this game is unplayable without Fallout 1st. I was perpetually overweight with maxed stash box to the point I had to abandon my character just to play. I got sick of doing an event, getting a legendary item, and then crawling to the nearest location to scrap/sell garbage. Every time I tried item management, I couldn't find anything to scrap. Everything was decimal points of carry weight, and scrapping hundreds of items to carry 1 piece of reward loot was stupid. It would only lead to no resources to upgrade equipment or build in camp. 90% of my PERK cards were weight mitigation. It was either Fallout 1st or stop playing. With Fallout 1st, I only become overweight after looting all after an event. Placing a tent and scrapping solves the problem. I hate that it costs $100 USD a year just to be able to play the game I already paid for, but I play the game enough that it is ultimately worth it for me.

I literally cancelled my Fortnite crew subscription and deleted Fortnite cause I’m so obsessed with Fallout 76 I definitely made the right choice Fallout 76 is a amazing game and the community is so fcking friendly ( excuse the language 😂 )
