Hey Andy. Thanks to guitar Master Jedi Tony, I just bought a Taylor 710e. All I wanted to tell you is that this is the most beautiful guitar I have ever owned and played. I'm 60 years old and just can't get over the great job you've done by creating this. Cudo's to you and Tony. Keep up the good work!! Best wishes. (padawan) Pete

The back and sides on these new 600 series are beautiful. I'm looking forward to playing one in the store to hear how this sounds!

I think guitar players are more accepting of maple in a guitar designed with maple back/sides from the start, not an afterthought, just as Andy said. The Gibson SJ 200 is a good example of this. Everyone loves that guitar. It sounds like Andy is on the right track to making a much revered 600 series.

+Brad Carroll Andy hit on one thing, which was that the biggest compliment people pay maple is that it sounds good cutting through a band mix. Players rarely think of it as a solo instrument. This gen of 6xx's sounds so different from the old ones that it isn't funny. Anyone who already thought Taylors were too bright and hi-fi wouldn't even consider a maple guitar. These news ones still have the articulation of maple, but a depth and warmth they never before had in a maple Taylor.

I (like Tony) rarly put Maple at the top of my list of preferred woods). All my Sobells are Roswood (Rio) African Blackwood or Cocobolo. However tis reminded me of a 1975 Levin WR 34 Ragtime which was really warm with a huge bottom end, all fom a small guitar, with Maple back and sides.

Andy did such a phenomenal job with the 800s, I'm hoping he gets to revamp the 500s next. I must say, there's just something goofy or odd about seeing Mr. HD-35 wearing a big-logo Taylor t-shirt.

I want a Maple guitar because it doesn't look like the rest. That's the whole point

Hey Tony, I always have been a great fan of Taylor acoustic guitars, however never had one. Now, I am just starting to learn first and after that, I am going to buy a Taylor Jumbo 12 string. I have been looking online, trying to understand Jumbo models, and specs of each model. For example I don't know the difference between 855, 655, 455 or 355 etc. Basically, my personal taste would be a Taylor 12 jumbo full body (non cutaway) all solid, but not new...probably something from 2006 back. I would like to know which models were available, which types of wood were used back there, inlays available, specs wise and etc. Can you suggest any link, or provide reading material to learn all the differences between the models? Or even if you can tell me the whole story. Thank you!

Question, sorry if I'm to lazy to really look this up but is it possible to custom order a Taylor 612CE Maple with a custom Birdseye Maple Fretboard and Gotoh 510 Delta Tuners in their Custom Shop? I really fell for these new maples and I wish I could have one with a maple fretboard, would they let this? Whoa, that's allot of maple..

i think i'm one of the few that actually liked the old 600 series look more than the new one :( i was looking for a blonde 616ce back in november and there were no more 600 series guitars at the store, so i settled with a 516e bearclaw spruce top exclusive at guitar center. and i kinda regret it :(
@nicholash80219 жыл бұрын
Are you kidding? That custom 516e (of which only 100 were made) is hands-down the best Taylor I've heard and I've tried everything up through the 900 series. The bass response is intense and it's still balanced throughout. The articulation is also unparalleled in my opinion. Put a bone saddle on it and you'll get the best from it.

Wow...Andy Power with Tony...I am a taylor guy. Tony, Could you please make a presentation to compare taylor new 600 with Gibson J200, and 800 with Gibson J200.. Since people say Gibson is the best guitar in the world. new 600 and J200 are built by maple. I watch your video about 600 compare J200, and I think Taylor lost. However, I really want to know the new 600 condition. Then, the 814ce is the best and most popular in taylor. so... the new 600 compare J200, and 800 compare J200.. I think that will be interesting.... thank you Tony!

Although your guitars are beautiful, sound beautiful and are made as close to perfect as can be. I will never be able to afford it.

Duck Dynasty=Lumber-Sexuals (recent term for the beard phase many men are going though.) Amazing how a family from Louisiana can affect so many! The 600 series are awesome Taylors! Love Taylor's even their basic guitar series! But the beard, not so much!
