Dan Brown's 'The Da Vinci Code' was a literary phenomenon that enraged religious groups and infuriated critics. 'Da Vinci Code Decoded' is the definitive documentary on the theories behind the novel, from the real role of Mary Magdalene to the coded messages in Leonardo Da Vinci's paintings and the secrets of the Gnostic gospels.

The Da Vinci Code was a good read but not a true read and everyone knows it that has any sense whatsoever. The author was made out of liar in the end and that's all it's worth is that 50 cents at a thrift store now.

The evangelicals and the Muslims and the jews are the worst deceived from misinterpreted edited and concocted scrolls and babbled writing.❤ no different than believing scientology is a religion; it was concocted by an x naval intelligence officer. It's structures mimic military levels. How any religious tax haven passes as legitimate is beyond obsurd. How any religion can call itself its own country is even more concocted and ludicrous.

Mary Magdalene was a very important person in Jesus's life. She definitely WAS NOT A PROSTITUTE. If you study the Bible it clearly states that Jesus does have a bride and that is His Church, and when he finally comes back, which He will, then He and His Church will become one family, and Jesus being the husband, the head of the Church. So he could not have been married on earth as the Church is His betrothed, and if He did marry down here, then He would have been committing adultery, which would break His commandments. The agnostics did not recognise Jesus as being divine, and all their writings go against the Bibles teachings. The free masons and the jesuit priests, as well as the Roman Catholic Church, have twisted the words of the Bible to suit their own ends and their own pagan traditions. The Bible is true, The word of GOD and read properly is proven to be proven true. All the prophecies have come to pass, exactly when they said they would. And most of the prophecies were mentioned many years before they happened. Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, and Revelations are some of the books that prove this.

Fun fact, but please don't take my word for it, fact check this for yourself: his actual Aramaic/Judean name was Yeshuah. Sounds much cooler than Jesus to me personally. I tried to reply to this user but weirdly my reply kept disappearing. I have not been disrespectful, nor abusive, not have I broken any terms of KZbins policies. I hope in all good faith that the user that posted this comment gets the opportunity to read this and considers reaching out to me with a good natured response. Thank you. @themusicbook8679 Jesus dedicated his life to the ministry and spent his time traveling with male companions in this ministry. It would have been neglectful and unloving to marry, knowing he will die young after spending his time fully immersed in full time service to God. Through his word via the Apostle Paul, Jesus even discouraged his followers to marry if possible in favor of serving God full time. The notion that he married is unreasonable. Get to know him through the Bible, not your churches. And certainly not through some dude's paintings! @themusicbook8679 I hope you haven't taken offence to any of the comments in this thread. Many people are not gaining an 'understanding' through 'paintings' and 'churches'. The impression I get from your comment is that your own belief system may be derived from church. Please let me know if I'm wrong, and I apologise if I am. Many people here are, however, taking into account geohistorical evidence, taking into account the everyday circumstances of Christ's life according to geohistorical context, and combining them - in some cases - with their own strong sense of faith. The Catholic faith was one of the first strong proponents and advocates of scientific and academic learning in conjunction with faith, rather than regarding the two as diametrically opposed. Yes. Though it is POSSIBLE that the image could have been created by the camera obscura process. Imagine DaVinci having collected a cadaver, covered it with a cloth, and perhaps some ointment/preservative containing silver. Left in a dark room with a single point of light, it is remotely plausible for some image to be transferred onto the cloth. However, that speculation is dramatically diminished by the knowledge that the cloth contains evidence of pollen grains specific to the Jerusalem area in the first century.

The bloodline is the matriarchal line and the paternal line has to be called the *heritage line* - this is supported by the ka-ba-la, in which the ka is associated with the 'nobody' and the ba is associated with the body ... Each life is the period between the first breathe and the last heart beat (nothing before and nothing after can be part of that one single life and that one single body). The sleep is the little death - we are leaving the ba for a while to 'visit' the ka and share what is necessary for the other humans. The ka has been forbidden when the patriarchal society claimed everything - indeed, we became richer with every generation, but had to give away our dreams and hopes (especially the women - you either were the daughter of your father, the spouse of your 'lord', or the mother of your son(s), but never the start of a dynasty of kings). The REN in Karen (I changed Karin into Karen when I was 18 years old) brought me to the Egyptian mythology - Ren was the NAME by which the gods knew the soul of the individual and how one would be called in the afterlife. That made sense - *Zelfs haar haar was van hem* (Dutch for: even her hair was his) after women became men's property. There is one good side at this story - we finally shall have to learn why God created men AND women (or was it Source who saw the benefit of that?). Pagan has a negative connotation and that says a lot about the difference between knowledge and learning (you can't teach me a lesson but within each lesson lies the price to learn). Knowing a lot about LEARNING, I was the best teacher you could imagine, but it wasn't a problem to silence me and make me dependent on a man, who treated me as his unsatisfying employee. I 'became' a Mary Magdalene like so many single married mothers and gave other women the chance to score (for a very short period). There was no going back and that's part of the lesson, I can't teach humanity but it's no secret that regret always comes too late. TIME can't be purchased and that's why people shall have to understand how little I could finish, having to solve so many unnecessary problems. Thank God, we have learned to learn and we can start a new program whenever we feel incompetent - the only way out is in!

The Vitruvian Man has 2 faces - the left is the face of Christos, who saved Katarina Mareya and her mother from the aggressive circle of people that stole all of their property. The other half is Nicola Salieri, who took Belisa Barca (Isabella van Kleef) in and looked after her (together with Anna van Lombardijen, Floris van Kleef, and Raphael Barca, the man who Belisa married when she was 16 years old). Belisa Barca painted what she saw in her head because she understood that no one else did. It started with painting her mother at the wall and first, she gave her father (Peter van Kortrijk) instructions, but later, she painted what she remembered herself (when the painting was perfect, her mother would return from the dead). Belisa was the first life I remembered as if it was a movie, filmed from her point of view and it was induced by the painting that hung in the vacation house of Peter's grandfather (my Peter, not Belisa's). It's a portrait of a lady, assigned to Petrus X and suddenly I knew who that woman at the wall was - I went down and lay myself on the couch and told her whole story as if she was using my voice. Andrea Salay knew Belisa Barca and recognised her in Joanna (who he had to impregnate), both Belisa and Joanna had lack on social standards and were honest with their compliments - Andrea had a lot of potential, but was born in the wrong circumstances (he was an illegitimate child of a high ranked father, who used him for his own shady trades). In our times, we 'love' that kind of stories, even when they were no more but backbiting, but we don't know anything about the social structures at that time because they always changed the narrative afterwards. You have to understand that the insights came fragmented and I first had to find out what life it belonged to. The oldest life is 26.000 years old (in present-day Peru) - the life of Inti and Ka (which became Inca later) and only the last two (Belisa and Joanna) were detailed enough to verify if it could be true. Andrea was a Master and he had a personal view on society indeed, but we only can deduct it from what he decided to leave in the open - everything had to wait until I would wake up from my 'coma' and what I would decide to do with it. I chose for the art of film-making, sharing how I felt when it became clear that I was not 'just' somebody. I only share what has been worked out and, although we have much more material and tools to dig deeper, only a few people gave me the benefit of the doubt. Some things seem too beautiful to be true, but why changing something nice and tasty into something ugly and sad - the organism, we call humanity, is immortal but its autonomous cells will never be (and each life, I can remember, was completely different from the others and that says enough about my 'future' lives to be lived yet).

I read Holy Blood Holy Grail when it came out. I've also read and own all of the books cited in the video and more. And I've also been to all of the locations depicted in the video except for Roslyn Chapel, which is on my bucket list. This is a pretty good video. Lincoln and Starbird lay out their thesis well. Odd to hear Lincoln disavow Holy Blood. He has real integrity despite it being clear that he was duped by Pierre Plantard, not mentioned in the video. But duped how and to what purpose? What is most ironic, and not mentioned in the video, is that there was a lawsuit against Dan Brown by the authors of Holy Blood for the clear plagiarism in Brown's Davinci Code. When I read the Davinci Code I was SHOCKED at the blatant rip off. The result of the suit was the authors of Holy Blood COULD have won the case, if they admitted that their book was fiction. They would have won quite a bit of money. They refused to admit that their book was fiction. Further enhancing Lincoln's integrity and credibility. Because they claim that their book is non-fiction Dan Brown was allowed to plagiarize from it as it would then be considered by the court as a historical event. This is not to say that the court endorsed Holy Blood, only that it was considered by the court as a non-fiction book in intent. And then to see in this video that Lincoln discounts Holy Blood is very interesting. Lincoln disavows Holy Blood due to the uncertainties created by Plantard due to the appearance that Plantard planted the Dossiers Secrets in the French National Library and then led the Holy Blood authors to it in an effort to create political power for himself. But political power to do what? Because the bloodline is matrilineal in a patriarchal society it creates a conundrum as to continuation of Jesus' physical kingdom and the right to rule in Jesus the King's name. The Dossiers Secrets are very interesting, historically. And it appears that there is something in them that is historically accurate. The historical synchronicities in the Dossiers is too much. It would require some real genius to fake. It is possible that the bloodline actually continued in Pierre Plantard. It is clear that Plantard is a fraud, confidence man, and general trickster. And that in and of itself SHOULD discredit the Dossiers. Tainted in one thing, tainted in all things, as they say. I think that is what influences Lincoln in his statement in the video regarding Holy Blood. But that shouldn't discredited EVERYTHING in Holy Blood. It is possible that Plantard actually carries the bloodline. It is also possible that the bloodline continues in the St Clair family, the owners of Roselyn chapel and who controls access to the crypts where the answers to the secrets of the Freemasons and the Templars may lie. How they can resist opening the crypts is beyond me. How they are not curious to death as to what is contained there is a real mystery.

One fact that cannot be disputed is there is no such thing as an immaculate conception. As we know now today she was made pregnant through invetro fertilization. Study the Betty and Barny Hill case. This is why you see flying craft in many religious paintings. Leonardo knew the secrets and the coverups of the Vatican. Always going against the church and doing the opposite of their dogmatic demands. As today the people of his time could never handle the truth. He wrote and painted in code. In both eyes of the Mona Lisa there was discovered one letter in each eye. If you study the inside church of the Vatican the structure is layed out as a stylized lizard head. Reptilian. On going genetic manipulation by creatures who have that power looked upon as gods; who are most certainly not. All experts admit that all religions are dangerous; and are nothing but cults based on concocted; edited; and manipulated writings some so fantastic they were totally thrown out and disbelieved. As mainstream scientists today try to cover up and discount obvious truths about ancient history; new found and unearthed settlements; pyramids; tools; giants; origins; etc. Facts trump all belief systems. Its time for the ignorant to start looking for answers ; beyond what they were weened on.

Mary Magdalene is the first person givdn the Priestly Duty to "Go tell everyone" that Christ is Risen. The Gospel story of the Empty Tomb records this. She is the first "Priest". The Jewish relegation of women beneath men was simply incorporated into Christianity, as equality was too great a leap for potential converts.

Here’s the thing. How can you can have all the facts? If the Catholic Church killed gnostic Christian’s and burned all their books you literally don’t have access to most books that were destroyed unless the Vatican kept a copy for themselves. That’s only one example. The nazis were later to the party when it came to book burning haha. It’s been going on centuries before. Gnostic Christian’s were hunted down. It’s like other groups like the masons or Illuminati has some research you can read. Read the book 1666 by Robert sepher. It’s short book but has references on what to read or his sources. But even still take the cia for instance. There’s documentation form jfks murder that’s still classified. Like that’s our own freedom loving country doing censorship for a modern example. It’s like secret society’s would be probably like the cia keeping few records or burning them haha

This is all interesting, but all of the interpretations from all these people is just their opinions. The woman interviewed said the rocks were growing out of Mary's head. The rocks were not growing out of Mary's head. It was a rock pillar that she was sitting in front of. In the last supper there seemed to be a near violent argument that was going on with some of the men. Why did they not focus on them? Look to me like Jesus was desperately trying to ignore them. DaVinci made these paintings, but nobody can know the true reasons behind what they really mean, unless he left explanations.

To know this, you have to read the old testament, the book of Isaiah to know what it tells about Jesus. Not biased, just letting you know. Besides, the angel Gabriel told Mary, Jesus' mother what was to be. So, Mary, the mother knew the assignment and did not interfere. The wedding at Cana shows this. In Isaiah 53 it describes Jesus. 'He was weak, despised, no majesty, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and the Lord laid the burden on him., a man familiar with suffering. It will be nice to research a little before assuming. As long as human race is alive, they will always speculate, EVERYTHING. How much one swallows is what matters.

I'm pretty sure Christ could take a bride and be able to not have her get pregnant so future generations would not war over the leftover scraps. Why make such a mystery out of a story written by warlords to keep a flock of sheep slaving for them? McDonald's farmyard is the truer tale. She leaned towards the underdogs and the "Lord" leaned towards the oppulence, the thieves, the traitors. The underdog tried to warn her,"oh they will cut off your head girl" She having to claim she is male still leaned towards the underdogs. And the centuries passed and he riddled her bottom with sores and chained her to a bed, later took out her organs and placed someone in a casket all prepared nice and shiny, said it was incorruptible and made cash, lots of it and still cashes in on it. Once they threw her out of a window, with child in her and all. She walked fields and the blood dropped until the child fell on the field. Now they shoot every weapon at her hoping she will die locked away in broad daylight. She still stood with the underdogs and do not give up.

Seriously lol. How do you know those songs and prayers haven’t been altered by the next generations to suit them or another tribe to add certain events from their period or taken away etc etc. Think about it. We have so much knowledge of history because of written text not because of words passed on from one person to the next . If that what we relied on we have a very twisted knowledge of history or a completely inaccurate one.

Some things can't be understood, unless you've experienced them and that's why I'll get an 'incomplete' death this time (one life with two bodies) ... I'm still in my first body and will *pass over* at the right time. Pass over is English for 'overlijden' that literally can be translated into - across (the) suffering. The suffering of the Christ is a major item in our religious philosophy (+ it is only connected with Christianity, and not with Judaism or Islam) - Circles make things end where they have started. What's even more confusing is the fact that Christians celebrate Easter around the time that Jews celebrate 'Pass over' that has nothing to do with death or Resurrection. In reality, people didn't make such a problem about the reason of celebrating whatever and, with the Reformation, even the Christian religion became 'ba-only' - without a female presence and the 'death' of spirituality. AyA is the sacred marriage between the Ka and the Ba and Israel means literally 'The God ISRA' (Isis + Ra). Ella is the female form of El and that means that Allah was referring to Source and El to God. Being able to compare and transpose, differentiate and nuance, makes us intelligent creatures, but we have an EGO that sometimes is bigger than our common sense. I am a certified speech therapist (just like the current Belgian queen, which, probably isn't a coincidence either), with a natural curiosity in the subject of learning. Instead of discussing what can or can't be true, we should dig deeper and ask ourselves why we seldom can admit our mistakes. I mean, it doesn't matter who painted the Lam Gods, the beauty affects us and it always will. Belisa Barca was the gifted painter and I am given a bright and flexible brain - there is no heritage in the ka, but enough potential to make every individual life a unique story to spice up our private experiences. I got 12 years extra and used them well, but not everybody will see it that way and only a handful of people will miss me when I'm gone. I haven't lied about anything because it was already too complicated by itself. You either can love or hate me, but that has no influence at all when the truth becomes obvious ... this is 'just' one of my many lives (and the majority of them are still to be lived) ...

And they were not living in Israel they were being set free by His Father in Heaven who had seen them and heard their cries and had given everyone the same instructions to survive and live by obeying His commands and He has always said through out History of the Bible and the people who believe in Him that “My Sheep Hear My Voice and Know Who I Am And You Can Tell Them Apart Because They Keep My Commands And They Know My Ways And In Times Of Trouble That They Have Been In They Call Upon Me And They Know My Ways And I Have Brought Them Out Of Egypt and Back unto Myself and to Their Own Land where Out of The Nation Of Israel Gods People Have Lived And became a separate nation unto their own selves where the son of man grew out of His Own Kingdom of Heaven and onto the land of His Own People and Father in Heaven in which He Stood faithful and true and He tried to transform mankind into His own and look what they did after finally listening to everything that He had to say to them in the Temple To the High Priests of the Temple of the hebrews Caiaphus The Highest Priest of Jerusalem was asking Pilate to kill The King of The Jews in Jerusalem under the authority of the Roman Empire of the Old Regime of the Roman Governor Pilate and King Herod the government of Jesus Christ arrested Him and asked the crowds outside of the temple and palaces who did they want to see dead a murderer Barabas or The King of the Jews Jesus Christ and they all screamed as loud as thunder “Kill Jesus Christ He is crazy he thinks He is King of the Jews! And so Jesus, by the time he got to the cross, and by the time they had beaten him, and faced him, and everything he was unrecognizable and suffocated upon the cross, and during this time, Mary Magdalene and Mary, his mother, and all the apostles, who weren’t in hiding they watched what happened as the son of God‘s blood was shed upon the world upon the cross, so that when God looked down on Jesus, all the sins of all the world of everybody whether they had died, or whether they had lived whether they had been born, yet or sin, or not, or upon the cross, and God turned away, and Jesus died and went into hell And he set the captives free in hell, but he also had to see and deal with Satan and could’ve ended up staying there, except for the love of the father in heaven, and he was laid into Joseph of Matthias‘s tomb in the garden of Kasey in Jerusalem, they took him down off of Gotha And they wrapped him in grave, clothes and cloths, and when he resurrected, he left a three dimensional negative upon the cloth that he was wrapped in white linen cloth very expensive, and his body was anointed with the same alabaster jars and the same embalming techniques that were used in the day, to preserve him to lay in the tomb, and when he resurrected on Easter, and when the cloth was left behind the people who discovered his body was gone, kept the cloth, and upon the cloth, since that day has been called the Shroud of Tourin the burial clothes of the Ever Living Lord of Hosts Jesus Christ who shed His Blood 🩸 for all of us who believe in Him and even those who do not believe in Him He said to You “Behold I Stand At The Door And Knock On Your heart ❤️ the door to your own heart and if you open your heart ♥️ to me I will come inside and Supt With You “ In other words Jesus blood 🩸 on the cross and everything finished the sacrifice system of the Hebrew Temple in Jerusalem The Curtain of The Temple which divided the people of the world from the Arc Of The Covenant and only the ordained Levite Priests were able to live long enough to be able to go before the arc of the covenant to place blood from the lamb upon the seat of heaven upon the covenant and then come out alive themselves of where God or Source had dwelled among His people and at the moment Jesus cried out to Heaven “Father I commend my spirit back unto you!” The fit cloth, which was as thick as a cinderblock, torn to completely right down the center in front of the ark of the covenant and the priests and the Levitical order of priest they witnessed this so now we have the tomb is empty. People are walking away with the shroud in their hands of Jesus he’s not there, and Mary now goes to the tomb, looking for her husband with Martha , and Jesus says as they come to the tune why are you looking in there for I have risen and he doesn’t just go to heaven no Jesus goes and he visits different people. He was on earth walking on earth in a light body among the people he went to the apostles. They were terrified in the upper room and he sat with them and he sat with Mary and the apostles and his mother and Joseph Avera, and they discussed. What were they going to do?

second attempt to place a reaction - we're obviously are not talking on the SAME level and the discussion only proves my point. The difference between now and then is the INTERNET and the internet is our FIRST COLLECTIVE 'child' ... it doesn't even matter if someone reads what I share, this was only the preparation of the work that has to be done to change our mentality. Just because Leonardo was a scientist, does NOT mean that he had invented photography as far back as the 13th century....saying that he created the Shroud of Turin by means of "camera obscura" is ridiculous ! According to historians, Camera obscura - and before them, pinhole cameras - have been around for several hundred years. But it wasn't until the early 1600s CE that we were able to manufacture lenses of high enough quality to create more flexible cameras with larger openings (apertures). That meant letting in more light to create brighter, higher-quality images. Draughtsman and painters would once have used a camera obscura like this for making accurate, detailed sketches of scenes - like landscapes or architecture. They could trace the image onto material, but they would still have to then paint it onto the cloth or canvas with some kind of pigments and the Shroud shows no evidence of paint or pigments or dye. A camera of any kind does NOT burn an image into either a negative or a canvas, as the makers of this documentary tried to imply that this is what Leonardo accomplished. Scientists have verified that the image was not painted or dyed, but somehow burned into the cloth, and even then, only into the surface material and not very deep into the cloth; so how could THAT have been accomplished? Not only that, but both the Shroud and the face cloth or :Sudarium" had been displayed in Constantinople as far back as 944 AD...long before Leonardo DaVinci.

The hero worship of Leonardo DaVinci by many of these contributors is obscene. The man was a genius by virtually every standard, but they’re extrapolating & reading-in their own wishful thinking in elevating him to godlike status. Truly insane & if I had to hazard a guess, suspect DaVinci might think so too. How do we know DaVinci encoded anything into his paintings? Or crediting him w/creating the Shroud of Turin is truly laughable if it wasn’t so incredibly sacrilegious to many….won’t get into all the reasons why here.

Really people are saying that about DaVinci? The Shroud would have been attributed to God. Oh, and it's true Davinci, and many of his peers did have a secret code to discuss science and mathematics without, hopefully, being burned at the stake as a witch by the Catholic church. But that's where it ends. The secret codes would be for those other great men like DaVinci who were trying to further human knowledge, and still not end up being called a heretic, or worse a witch/warlock. Not us. Shoot in earlier times "circumcision" was a way for first Jewish, and then Christian men to identify each other as not being a "pagan" Egyptian, or Roman, while keeping it on the down low. And why that cruel practice in my mind should be stopped today. "Leave that sucker alone!" lol But yeah, I think you are on target with your comment. The thing the book did though, is bring Mary Magdelene back into the narrative of Christ's life, and show it was the Catholic church that had brandished her a prostitute when she was nothing of the sort. She was both a disciple, and companion of Jesus coming from a fairly wealthy family of "good stock". It's not hard at all understanding why Christ would want a companion and bride. It's the Catholic Priests who do not that isn't natural. Good comment. Too bad people confuse Hollywood, and a good book of fiction as "faith" or simply "something more". I think too often we (people) try to complicate that of which is not complicated. take care.

life is the period between your first breathe and your last heart beat - after your death, only your NAME remains and the REN in Egyptian mythology refers to that fact. The ka-ba-la as I've worked it out, using the collective of ideas around the idea of kabbalah (that is only based on the ba-ego and ignoring the fact that we've filled in things we can't understand with the knowledge we now have) and distil the elements that can be explained when you understand the influence of 'Source', leaves room for mental expansion - the la has a visible side (body) and an invisible (nobody). Books and movies are correlated with the ka (female & spiritual, the Teacher, Source) and when we're free from being conditioned, we can read between the lines. Mozart was a gifted child for sure, but most of his compositions were Antonio Salieri's and, again, it was a matter of egocentric narcissism that made Mozart the BIGGER name. It does not detract the quality of the music, but it shows us a hidden side of the nobody - sometimes we have to lie to get what we want or need and other times we have to accept that learning takes a long, long time to give results. I'm not lying about anything that happened in my life and I did not change my story in the hope of getting recognition - it's still a work in progress and this was only the preparation to do it in a unique and authentic way. Leonardo never existed for real, but was a profile, meant to make this giant leap of fate on a collective level. Reincarnation exists, but it totally different from the idea of repeating one life. I remember earlier lives the same way as I remember this life and it's obvious that I never repeated anything at all, but got a new chance to use my unique mindset for the benefit of the collective. Joanna van Castille is remembered as Joanna la loca (mad Johanna), but thanks to her and Andrea Salay, I can prove why it became such a shameful scam. Even better, I can make a movie about her life, as I remember it and people can use their own intellectual potential to fill in the blanks. There is no shame in making mistakes, but it's wrong to feed mistakes for your own benefit. I am the teacher who uses your intellectual potential to understand and share your acquired knowledge on your turn. To refresh it when a lot is already become common knowledge, there will be a digital time capsule opened on August 9, 2045 with the complete story (so a lot can still change when people get out of their 'comfort zone'). The only thing left to do is 'disappearing' and only return when the situation is cleared up.

Such a simple notion and well put together book that spawned an entire industry of nut jobs writing non fiction "factual" books and then hitting the lecture circuit to promote their "truth" behind it all. I often wounder if Dan Brown sits laughing or crying about it all.

Same here! Look at the world today - nothing is being "saved" - the planet is quickly being destroyed. This belief only gives people an excuse to do horrible things, thinking that it doesn't matter because Jesus already has forgiven them. Screw that! He ruffled the wrong feathers and was crucified. This method of killing people was NOT exclusive to Jesus, it was actually quite common. Can someone explain it in regular English and not just regurgitating scriptures?

“nothing is being saved” - we won’t know whether souls have been “saved” or not until we die. “the planet is quickly being destroyed”. Not true. The planet will endure. Not all forms of life may endure human activity. But humans have been extirpating life forms for a long time, even before Jesus. Anyway, Jesus never claimed he could save the planet. He only offered a path to,salvation for those who followed him. “This belief gives people an excuse to do horrible things”. No, the teachings of Jesus actually only command people to do good things. “Not horrible ones. People calling themselves Christians do horrible things despite the commandments not to. They aren’t good people and certainly not good Christians, although some such people have tried to use this as a pretext, I don't think it’s good doctrine. “…because Jesus has already forgiven them.” No, he hasn’t. Where did you get that wrong information? Every time the Lord’s Prayer is recited, a Christian that he or she be forgiven, just as they ask for their daily bread. Forgiveness isn’t automatic or assumed. The Prayer isn’t “Hey thanks for the Get-Out-of-Hell Card”. “can someone explain it in regular English”. Try reading or rereading by CS Lewis. It is an obvious allegory written by a Christian who was a scholar at Oxford. It is in as regular an English as you will find. Aslan the Lion represents Jesus. Edmund the bad boy represents ordinary humans who are greedy and self-centred and prone to making mistakes and helping evil beings do horrible things. Edmund’s bad character makes him liable to be killed. But Aslan the Lion offers his own life in exchange for Edmund’s. His act of self-sacrifice saves Edmund, just as Jesus’ act of self-sacrifice is believed, by Christians, to have offered a way for humans to find salvation and eternal life. Like a parent stepping in front of a bullet aimed at their child. The father dies. The act of love and self-sacrifice enables the child to live. In Christian theology, the parent who took the bullet is resurrected back to “life”, to,the amazement of his followers, and the child (humanity) gets a chance for her soul to live forever. Believe or not, is your choice. Christians believe the act of salvation is real.

How about decoding the Vitruvian Man in the background
@davidpahlka6301

I read the books by Biagent, Leigh and Lincoln years before Dan Brown's book. I wasn't raised religiously but came from a long line of Masons and am a descendent of Martin Luther or his brother. The Mother of my children is Jewish, so I've studied their history quite a bit. One of the major differences between Jews and Christians is Jesus' divinity on Earth. The Jews were totally against the concept of half- God and half-man as the cultures of the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans believed. Yet man was made in God's image which means God's non-material spirit is encased by our bodies. We are all children of God. The term 'Only Begotten Son of God was a title given for respected Jewish Kings. It's a way of saying Jesus was more honored than the common man. In Jewish tradition a male wasn't allowed to risk his life in war until he conceived. Jews at that time believed in after life was genetic. Women had more power and esteem in those times. Wisdom in some sects was Female Goddess, either submissive to the male God or a co-ruler. Modern Jews believe God is neither male or female but both united as one. Modern Jews usually don't believe in reincarnation but when Jesus first began his ministry, he was asked if he was Elijah reincarnated. Jesus said 'No' but claimed his spirit was of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It makes perfect sense Jesus and Mary were married and had a son. There are more theories but I'm too tired, but the image of a fish of the early Christians is very important. Also I thought the image of the Madonna with the infant Jesus was a more powerful image than that of the Cross with early Christians and their Gentile converts.
