@@jmcclain8237 a large chunk definitely do, switch sales wouldn’t have slowed down significantly had it not been for Nintendo’s initial announcement of the reveal to next gen system, even if they didn’t reveal anything they did say they were going to announce the system somewhere till the end of the fiscal year. People seriously underestimate how many people use the internet and have access to the internet, obviously there are parents that are not on the internet and busy with work and kids who don’t research things deeply but a large chunk of the Nintendo player base usually consists of long time fans of their products.

Even if it’s just a rumour that the new joy-con feature is a mouse, it’s exciting to think of that as a possibility. I remember reading a post several years ago from a console gamer who was making the transition to PC, and they said something which stuck with me. They said combining one joycon with a mouse would be the optimal way to play video games. I never forgot that comment because I remember agreeing with it at the time.

But the problem is that when developers can't count on players to have a peripheral, there's little incentive to support it. So very few developers bother. If developers *can* count on players having access to something - especially something like a mouse that really enhances the game play - there's a much better chance of developers adding support. People who get cramps may consider attaching a real mouse, and I suspect Nintendo may release their own mouse for the system.

You miss the point. The core concept behind the joycon (switch in general) is modularity & versatility. Look how the joycon accomodate every input style across most nintendo console generatios. Having mouse functionality for tabletop mode without having to drag around an extra accesory is a plus.

If this leak is real and you can use the joycon as a mouse, that would be a BIG advantage to first-person shooters or any game that requires fine aiming. I've seen people here in this comment section calling it "another useless Nintendo gimmick". I'd say this is a very ignorant type of comment and the kind of ignorance that stifles innovation. Remember, there was also a rumor that Nintendo patented a sort of "trigger-bumper wheel button combo". Which on paper, I thought that was a great idea and wish it was real as well. Because a wheel-button would've made cycling through weapons-abilities with ease very quickly without the need for extra button combos. A joycon with built-in mouse-like sensor and this trigger-bumper wheel could prove to be a fantastic pair that would've narrowed the gap between PC-style keyboard & mouse control layout and console gamepad controllers without the need for extra finicky peripherals. Now I know some of you who read this are gonna say "well at that point instead of buying inferior experiences on consoles, why not just buy a PC and play with a mouse and keyboard then?". You're the kind of dum-dum who just sits around waiting for people to spend their time and money to innovate for you because you're too narrow-minded to see the big picture yourself. I think you got it wrong. They gonna have 2 skews... one Black and one White Joycons. Both versios will heva the Minus Jpycon with Blue accents and the Plus Joycon with Orange accents. That's what I understand.

Also the Switch 2 is not surpassing the Switch 1 in sales just like the 3ds didn’t to the ds. DS sold 154 million units 3ds sold 75 million units switch sold 146 million units. MY GUESS is the Switch 2 may sell around (68-72 million units)

I think they should always make a gray and black version. I have a gray Switch lite Pokemon version with black buttons and sticks and people always think it is the best looking Switch Lite they have seen. I also wish they would have improved the joycon shape to something similar to the Mobapads. They are far better as far as control and comfort on my Switch oled. They are like holding a series x controller. Nintendo seems to ask for what they get from gamers. Dragging out reveals, running old hardware until there are emulators all over the place and games even run on modern phones. No room for complaints at that point. And where is Wind Waker for Switch?
