As soon as I saw the title for this video I immediately thought "omg is this gonna be dragging the STUPID 10 ten couples that the degrassi youtube video did?" Because not only did they start their list with Emma and Spinner! but then it had Elle and Craig and then proceeded to list all the toxic and manipulative reasons why they were horrible together.And they didn't even think to put Sean and Elle on the list! they put Emma and Spinner, button Sean and Elle? don't get me wrong I love Emma/Sean but I also really loved Sean/Elle.

I am a sucker for Eclare as well. I always will be. Eli inspired me to focus on myself and my mental health when my boyfriend and I split up temporarily. Eli and Clare aren't always the healthiest couple, but they overcame so much together, and to me, that's a sign that they'll make it through.

I would like to appreciate that you can understand that a lot of couples aren’t about being endgame, but about growing with one another. And also someone that likes couples that were not overly dramatic. It always makes me so frustrated when fans hate couples because they didn’t have a lot of drama or because another one of their parings was their main ship who they wanted to be endgame. @@Ceielo Their dynamic was much healthier when it was platonic rather than romantic. We never got to see them genuinely happy together when they were a couple. Paige was too Type A for Alex, and Alex constantly felt that Paige was condescending towards her. I think they have a lot of fans because they were the first girl/girl couple in the Degrassi franchise, and they were both very well-liked characters. As much as I'm a sucker for an enemies-turned-lovers story, they were not good for each other romantically.

I am so happy to see another Sean/Ellie defender! I LOVE that couple! As I once said, they just "got" each other. I also think Dallas was Alli's best relationship as well. I honestly get a bit troubled when I see people say that Alli and Dave were such a great couple when he treated her like absolute crap for much of their relationship and that he always tried to make the relationship about him. Also happy that Sean/Emma, JT/Liberty and Paige/Alex aren't on here. I think all of them, for various reasons, have major flaws that prevent me from me enjoying them (Sean and Emma, in my opinion, should not have gotten back together in S6; JT and Liberty were barely ever shown being civil together/the relationship felt like fanservice, and Paige and Alex were one-sided - I feel that Alex truly loved Paige, but I never felt that Paige reciprocated those feelings. It honestly felt like Paige just kind of used Alex, and Alex deserved so much better than Paige).

I know it's not a popular opinion, but I vastly prefer Sav/Holly J to Declan/Holly J. Sav and Holly J were just sweet, fun, and grounded. The Declan and Holly J relationship never came off as genuine or realistic to me, just as something that the writers forced in order to capitalize off of Gossip Girl's popularity. I will also forever be a Spinner/Jane fan, and I will never forgive the show runners for putting Spinner and Emma together. To contrive this whole backstory where Spinner secretly really admired and respected Emma from afar throughout high school is such an insult to Jane and Spinner and everything they went through. And as toxic as their relationship could be, I still REALLY like Ashley and Craig together. They were the first Degrassi relationship I was actually invested in back in my teen years. I kind of see them as Eclare 1.0. Both very headstrong and creative people, both super dramatic, but I feel that they just "got" each other. While Ashley could be very cold and self-involved, she was genuinely patient with and supportive of both Craig and Jimmy when it came to their insecurities about their physical and mental health (Craig with his bipolar disorder, and Jimmy with his concern about potentially never being able to get hard). Unfortunately, when her own insecurities were triggered, her relationships with them would suffer. I feel like Ashley gets a lot more flak than she deserves, but I'm a huge Ashley apologist, so maybe I'm biased.

I always really like Riley and Zane. I think being a guy who wasn’t straight and appeared straight to many people (mostly because I wasn’t gay but definitely not straight) I could see both points. I was mostly like Zane on the inside, being who I was no matter what, while somewhat outwardly I was similar to Riley in a slight way. Like I just wasn’t ready to be out (I just wanted to come out when I wanted too) and I didn’t like people assuming who I was. It was kind of a toxic relationship at points, but I don’t think they get love for being more different than Marco and Tristan, who were way different and one of the few interracial couples on the show, especially gay characters. I’d only an asexual character could have came out. Maybe in new Degrassi .

@@NotAVampyre //sorry this is long lol// i think ‘toxic’ applies in some situations like rick/terri, but I think with teen shows people just expect way too much maturity and perspective from these people who aren’t even 18 yet, of course they’re going to be unreasonable and mess up. but really i mostly think people use the ‘toxic’ as buzzword when they don’t like something about the couple to make their dislike seem more justifiable (bc these days everyone feels like they need a dramatic reason to dislike something). like I saw someone say craig x ellie was ‘the best degrassi couple’ despite craig being manipulative to ellie and they also said jonah x frankie had power couple potential despite frankie’s general immaturity and literally smashing his guitar because of her jealousy but then say that triles was unhealthy which was probably just because they disliked tristan and didn’t want to see past that so they jumped to them being ‘toxic’. imo talking about triles in particular i think most people who dislike them just don’t like tristan so decide to read into some of his actions as ‘toxic’ despite the fact that miles definitely made some questionable decisions they get passed over because he’s generally liked more. personally, I don’t think a couple being the squeaky clean makes them a good tv couple (like i love eclare but there’s no way you could argue them as a perfectly 100% healthy couple) and i’m just sick of people acting like they’re better because they like a couple that they’ve arbitrarily decided is ‘more healthy’ than another

It wasn't really because of her friends though. It was clear that how he didn't fit with who she was in college and the people she chose to suround herself with only added onto what Bianca was already feeling. That she was progressing in a different direction from Drew. That she's outpacing him in maturity and becoming a different person from who she was when she became his fiancee. We actually already saw cracks form in season 12 along these lines as Bianca went for academic pursuits while Drew valued fun over grind.

I feel like if somehow they crossed paths later on in life they could work together but I’m kinda glad they separated because I think it was kinda a good thing for drew. while yes eclare was cute but they both were annoying and kinda crazy. they both often just disregarded others, mainly clare. clare may have gotten better and she may have gone through a lot but still. and then as for eli he was just crazy. their relationship was so predictable to the point that there was point and even keeping their characters together at least as for screen time goes

The trajectory of their relationship when you step back and view it as a whole is wold, but the important thing is that I had fun basically every step of the way.

I thought they had some really rough patches and weren't always the best for each other, but some of that came from needing to mature and grapple with personal problems. Perhaps by the end of their run on the show they could retry being together and have more success at it

Tristan and Miles and Rasha and Zoe probably did end up together considering that they’re relationships showed really realistic problems and they had to go off to college... btw Zane and Riley ended up together in the script but it wasn’t mentioned so I think its fair to say similar couples did too after college.

Eclare, Fimogen, Jatie, Beckdam, Drianca and camaya all made a good portion of my favorite degrassi couples list. This was a good list and def better than MsMojos one. Spinner and Emma grew on me simply because I really I didn't ship them with anyone else, but I don't think deserved to be on a top ten list objectively. Sean and Emma were it though!!

10. I would've loved Triles if Miles didn't treat Tristian like trash sometimes. Tristian deserved better. 9. I loved Drianca. I just hate how they started. If Drew wasn't feeling Ali anymore than break it off. I could never condone obtaining a mate through cheating, but they were amazing together. 8. You have amazing take too Ms. NotAVampire. I didn't see Holly J and Sav like that when I first watched them, but ik I see that I respected their business casual relationship too. 7. Shay and Tiny were nice. I just didn't feel the spark between them. At times I feel they put them together cuz their both black, but they were still great together. 6. Fiona and Imogen are my OTP and that's just that on that. 5. I'm a Semma fan, but I now understand why people like them. They were sweet and they were like a shoulder to cry on where they needed someone the most. I'm surprised they didn't get together later because bu then Ellie had changed and Sean had changed. I don't think their personalities would've been compatible if they got together again. 4. Rasha and Zoe were great representation for LGBTQ+ people. And I believe that's where Zoe was the most happiest in any relationship she was in. They're amazing. 3. You took the words right out of my mouth. Connor and Jenna was something that I didn't know I needed till I got it. They're relationship was so pure and it should how some teenagers(like me) would be like in a relationship. Just enjoying each other's company without the unnecessary drama. And Jenna look so happy with Connor. I do wish they didn't have to play second or third fiddle to Ali and Dallas or Eclare either. 2. Ali and Dallas have to be one of the most healthiest and unproblematic relationships on Degrassi which is why I don't think they get the recognition they deserve. We've seen that both Ali and Dallas went on several airplanes to find their correct destination. And I'm so happy they portrayed a relationship where both characters grew as people. And not the one is broken or both are broken dynamic that we're used to seeing. 1. Now Eclare has the best chemistry on the show PERIODTTTT, but they're just not for me. They're like the Damon and Elena of Degrassi. The reason for me not liking them is die to the fact that I usually imagine myself in relationship like the ones portrayed in the show and see if I would like to be in one like that. And for Eli and Clare is a big no. Granted they did have their moments that made me squeal, but overall they have that together-forever-we're-meant-to-be- I'll-never-be-free-of-you type of relationship that I just couldn't stand by. Tbh I think they're better as individuals than a couple. They were each other's first loves so I get why they just can't get away from each other, but to me the value health or love. I respect your opinion though. *And I believe your couples were wayyyyyyy better than MsMojo's.

FINALLY , another person who likes sav with holly j. I just love how cute and simple they are. It was really refreshing to see a couple who weren’t so set on being together forever and just enjoyed their time together in the moment. I even prefer them over holly j and Declan😬😁. And I also LOVE Zoe and rasha. They were so good for each other and it was so nice to see Zoe so happy and in love. And eli and Clare were ICONIC.

I think you’ve got some good couple on this list. When I commented on the Degrassi page’s video my top 10 were as follows (because it specified TNG couples, not next class and TNG). 1. Johnny/Alli 2. JT/Liberty 3. Adam/Becky 4. Eli/Clare 5. Manny/Jay 6. Emma/Sean 7. Spinner/Paige 8. Connor/Jenna 9. Mo/Marisol 10. Sav/Anya But Tristan and Miles is honestly probably my number 1 or 2 couple of the two series. I also really liked the idea of Zoe and Grace together, but sadly that didn’t go anywhere. Tiny and Shae were also great together, and I really liked the idea of Winston and Goldie.

I hated Sav and Holly J, mainly because Holly J and Declan had JUST broken up and I feel like if she truly loved him and he impacted her as she made it seem she would have taken more time to herself? AND her best friends ex? It was just awful for me :( My heart also couldn't let go of KC and Jennas story to appreciate Jenna and Conner. But I agree with the rest of the list completely, especially Miles and Tristen.
