“All the world's problems can be solved in a garden” is a quote by Bill Mollison, the co-founder of permaculture. The quote has inspired creative solutions to global problems, such as urban food forests and tiny homes.

Hello from India. The energy consumption is an indicator of human development index framed by the west. In fact in the realms of science, human evolution is based on Kardashev scale. If we have to move to Type 1 civilization, the only way we can do that is via nuclear energy. Its the most clean and efficient technology out there. The nuclear waste is blown out of proprotion and Fukishima event happened as they cut cost for safety measures. India is working and nearing to completion of fast breeder small nuclear reactors that can output 220MW of power, based on home grown technology. By 2030 we can move to stage 3 nuclear technology based on thorium. By any estimate our Thorium reserves if utilized efficiently and given pace of technology growth can last us 1700 years. I hope the Indian subcontinent can benefit from such clean energy to improve human lives ahead.

India currently consumes 250GW. By 2030, India will need 1TW. At this rate, by 2045, we may be looking at 10TW. Its a tall order to achieve and we are working towards it.

The UN's impositions are not taken seriously by any developing country, certainly not by Pakistan. The only reason "eco-friendliness" and "climate crisis" excuses are used sometimes by Pakistan government is because the government cannot afford to buy electric power from other countries or have the resources to generate it own right now.

Look, I've never commented on any KZbin video before, but this trend of Indians shitting on Pakistanis and seeking foreign validation on KZbin is really pissing me off. You could have commented lots of constructive things, but you chose to repeat the garbage that your national media sells day in and day out. It's their country - they're free to do whatever they want. There are lots of problems in India too that need to be fixed, which is in the hands of youth like you. So next time you think you have some moral high horse against someone or something, think of all the problems your country has that are being neglected. So please stop embarrassing your country and focus your energy on something productive instead.

@@GaneshSingh-tf9qs That's why 80 percent of Indian engineering graduates are unemployable and those who are leave the country for better opportunities abroad . You see , IITs and other institutions in India might have the best tech and research education in the subcontinent but it stands no where near compared to NUS in Singapore and any other public and private institution in the USA and Europe . Again to stay on topic , the point that I was trying to make through my comment was , these days it seems majority of Indian youth , as I've observed on social media , is engaged in trolling Pakistan , which is a result of Indian media selling you the hate fuel all the time and your comment in this video is testament of that . I'm myself an Indian whose parents had moved abroad to have a better life , now this trolling thing has reached to an extent where it feels embarrassing . Think critically instead of speaking garbage outright.

I don't know if you have a background in engineering or not, You have some solid points, but you also have some issues in your main premise. Our Goal should be at both conservation and increasing production of energy. You cannot ignore conservation as its one of the biggest part of your balance sheet. Why would you make few thousands extra megawatts just so it can be lost to nothing? At first I thought you didn't mean that but when you said, you don't need to keep your AC on 26, Nooo. Our Energy Audit teacher used to say "A megawatt saved is a megawatt produced" Every form of energy comes with some form of waste, Clean energy is a myth. and engineers and scientists know that. Its just that some forms of wastes are not as visible as others. Pakistan will find out in roughly 2 or so decades when it will have millions of tons of solar pv waste to dispose. And there is a bigger problem with solar now. So before solar, a middle class would have 1 AC per house, now that they have installed solar and thanks to net metering, now that Household has 4 ACs running throughout the day, Yes Its producing more so the bills are zero but, If you think about it, when the sun sets, and those ACs are still running, now the grid has to give back that energy and where does the new increased energy come from? It comes from fuel. We messed up terribly with the net metering policy and it not long before our grids will de-stabilize and we will pay the price again with massive power cuts and high tax rates. We have to look past solar, Its a great source but its not reliable and not as clean as you think. Other than that your points are solid. The west has always does that, It dumps its piles of garbage on us and then shame us for having that, Look at their garbage computers and electronics, why do you think our computer markets were filled with used lenovos and IBMs in 2000's? The west couldn't figure out how to dispose of them in cost efficient way and then they dumped it on third world countries, and when we got it, they were obsolete and in a couple of years useless. Then our land was used to burry the junk. Same is the case with russian gas powerplants. Pakistani factory owners went to russia to buy their junk turbines and bring them back to Pakistan and install them in our factories to produce our own electricity. Guess what was the efficiency of those old ass turbines? some of them had 1 to 2% efficiency, we ruined our precious gas to their junk powerplants and then these countries have the guts to call us irresponsible and polluters of the climate.
@minoqtopusКүн бұрын
Thanku so much for giving such an indepth feedback. I agree, short term conservation will put a bandaid to our very deep rooted issues, but its just a bandaid, we need to fix the problems from the root. Increase in solar has led to increased electricity prices, precisely because theyre privately owned. If the government itself produces this “relatively clean” energy (as u say its an illusion), wouldnt there be more energy for all of us? The circular debt problem is an entirely different issues and the reason why prices increased. The main purpose of the video was just to make people think from a different perspective
@alidurrani4645Күн бұрын
@minoqtopus Well, the term "Conservation of Energy" does not mean limiting expenditure, It means limiting useless expenditure of energy and cutting down losses. For instance, an ECM or an Energy Conservation Measure would mean to replace your old Window AC with a new Inverter AC or a VRF, another energy conservation measure would be to replace an old 100watt incandescent light with an 10 to 12W LED light with the same luminosity. Another energy conservation measure would be, for example, to close the hole in the steam pipes so that the thermal energy is not lost. Another example in thw context of electricity would be to reduce the approx 15% line losses to zero. When you talk about conservation in the context of energy, this is what conservation of energy mean, in no way does energy conservation mean to reduce consumption entirely, it means to stop wasting energy. Secondly, I am more of a capitalist so I would actually encourage more private investments in solar so that the govt can generate more revenue in tax collection. But looking at Pakistani political system its not a good idea either because these shithead politicians are buying their units for 80 or so PKR/kwh with our hard earned money driving the LCOE so high. 🤔 I guess if they for once just think about the people of Pakistan and implement better policy around IPPs we would have no problem, the costs would plummet and the supply would increase in no time.

Then how has that uneducated butcher become Chief Minister of Gujrat 3 times and Prime Minister of India 3 times? If you believe that Modi was behind these events, then how did the BJP win in a constituency with a 40% Muslim population, allowing Modi to become Chief Minister of Gujrat for a second time? In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won 25 out of 26 seats in Gujarat. Pakistan ke PM's American Universities se padhkar kya ukhaad rahe hai?
