Nice to see you back again! Brave of you to show your mistakes, but very helpful. I agree that needle felting is very forgiving and that's why I love it so much!

Aw thanks, glad you found it helpful, I do find a lot of what I do is trial and error 😊 yes, so forgiving, it's great isn't it 😁👍

This is so inspiring! Also, I just love your accent and U.K. Words like “fiddley”. I’m definitely adding that to my vocabulary! ☺️💜

Aw thanks, glad you like it. Oops! I keep forgetting that some people might not understand "fiddly" 😂 but it's a good word isn't it 😁 "Faffy" is another favourite of mine which has a similar meaning 😁 maybe I should put some text on the screen with a translation 😂 My nanna (grandma) used to make up words and loved to describe things that were shiny and sparkly as "shikely", pronounced as the shi from shiny and kely as the end of sparkly 😂 if ever there's anything I say that you don't understand please ask 😊 thank you for watching 💜

@@juliesfeltedfriends I love it! I love to say “gobsmacked” as well 😁
@juliesfeltedfriends4 ай бұрын
Yes gobsmacked is another good one 😁 and it's a more northern British word, which is where I am from 😁

@@juliesfeltedfriends I thought you were because it’s closer to Scotland and there’s a little Scottish lilt in there. Not a lot, but it’s there! This Alaskan has no accent whatsoever. It’s like a plain old piece of white bread. 😂

Thats a good tip for making clothes with a paper template. I've not thought of that. I can relate with that last tip. I underestimate how strong I need the wire and have to fix the sculpture in a similar way.

Glad you liked the paper template tip, yes it's easy to get the wire wrong isn't it, thanks for watching

So much in here that's useful, thank you! I have been making curly hair by winding strands of wet wool (carded or tops) around a metal skewer and leaving them to dry - in the sun, on a radiator or in a cooling oven - after I've taken our dinner out! Once it's dry the wool slides off the skewer easily (tried toothpicks but the hair stuck fast onto them). Every day's a school day.

Glad you liked it, thanks for this, such a helpful tip, I've not tried this yet, sounds fun 😊 thanks for the advice re not using toothpicks, thanks for watching

Am on super tight budget so don't want to use spinnable top for the guts. Should I wet felt the rough bad ram fleece or wind it tight on armature? Was so angry about bad purchase needle felted it in guts of a Dove. That level of anger is not sustainable. I have been inspired by you and others but have to scale down for finances and isn't working smoothly
@juliesfeltedfriends4 ай бұрын
You can use cheaper wool for the core and wrap it around an armature, you shouldn't need to wet felt it though, just needle felt it. I'm glad you're inspired, please don't give up, I hope you find my tips helpful, thanks for watching
