Even the reporter is scrutinizing his questionable behavior of the past as well as the present. Vice isn't praising this guy's actions in the video, they're just capturing what's taking place, and asking questions. That is what real news is, in case you didn't know. Are you watching this video through a tiny pinhole, with selective hearing?

People like Dana Giacchetto are especially dangerous. Correct me if I'm wrong (which I probably am) but I see the business world as just one big game with two types of players; those who play the game and those who make the game. So what do you do if you're a game maker and you feel like the game is holding you back? Easy, you change the rules and reshuffle the deck. Figuratively speaking, this is what Dana Giacchetto did. He created his own interpretation of the rules and then played by them as if it was legit. He turned it all into a wash by claiming that the issue was caused by a third party. A lot of you guys are talking about his body language, twitching, etc. That shit is not even relevant because how else did you picture an ex-addict (benefit of the doubt)? The interesting thing is how calm and calculated he is whilst talking about stuff that is so controversial and so personal. Sure, you might say "well, he is lying through his teeth", but didn't most of you at least consider the fact that he might be high as a kite? Pulling off a poker face like that isn't something you do naturally, it's something you learn to do with experience. At the end of the day Dana Giacchetto is not some small-time crook that got too greedy. He's a businessman in the world's most competitive trade that managed to play a lot of smart people like a fucking fiddle until he ran out of tunes to play. Dana Giacchetto is clever, not strong. If he can play his cards well without cheating then he might regain his former respect, but I sure as fuck wouldn't be surprised if he fucked everyone in the ass once again. The US is the Mecca of Capitalism and where there's a free market to take advantage of, someone is getting corrupted.

obviously the wolf of Wall Street is about Belfort but I feel like this dude is pretty much saying Leo lived that life with him and put his persona and real life experiences into how Leo played the character of Belfort since Leo didn't personally know Belfort but knew this guy he used him as inspiration look at how dude presents himself and his facial expressions n how he amps his voice up to express certain things then watch how Leo acts in the movie. I think he was character inspiration not the inspiration for the film itself. But that's my take on it and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

He lived that life with this dude he didn't do that with Belfort spending 100 hours talking to Belfort ain't shit compared to spending months with this dude living that same type of shit. I think their point was more that Leo only heard Jordans stories, But he actually experienced these events with Dana. So he could take those events and apply it to his performance when telling Jordans story.

This is a pretty horrible title for this piece. If this guy is the wolf of wall street, Jordan Belfort was the Monster From Your Nightmares FUCKKILLYOUINYOURSLEEP of Wall Street. Interesting piece, and I get why you'd wanna associate the two. But still completely misleading.

I find that dana's body language and facial expressions tell a different story. When he was trying to get into the building and the doormen said no, he was talking quietly, biting his nails.. signs that make someone nervous in a bait way. If I met him I would not trust this person, even if I hadn't of heard this whole story.

@jakemonster9998 жыл бұрын
The so called "The Wolf Of Wall Street" is reffering to Jordan Belfort. Not this nobody who knew Leonardo Dicaprio.
@bztrd807 жыл бұрын
I think this could be the reason why DiCaprio wanted so badly to do Wolf of Wall Street and waited patiently 7 years to do it. He lived this type of excesses in life before and he knew he could nail it on a film. Jordan's Belfort story is much much heavier and intriguing. Also, JB is a different man, living a new life right now.. but this guy is lost and still dreaming to hang out with the famous people, still dreaming to go back to all that..

Anybody who knows the real Dana Giacchetto, knows he didn't utter 1 single word of truth in this video. He blatantly stole people's money well into the millions, everybody knew this, and he chose to take exactly zero blame for his shame, and crime. The guy is lower than dirt, always was, always will be.

Notice that Leo never seems to notice anyone unless they have a camera. Soho house is an EXTREMELY exclusive hotel/club for entertainment industry folks only. No cameras allowed, and no phone calls allowed in the club. The door man genuinely liked him, but there's no way they would let anyone bring a camera in without the general manager's explicit permission. I worked at one. It was nuts. When he was working for the entertainment industry, he was probably a member, but they still wouldn't have let him bring a camera guy inside. Also, this guy is essentially Penguin from Gotham.

Buying cocaine or not, it does not make him a lower being. In my eyes, let him do what he wants to do. What makes us human is the fact that we do things like this, or judge others based on appearance. You may not agree with me or his lifestyle, but we all have an opinion on the matter. As long as he's not ending up in the obituaries or ending up in the news like Charlie Sheen, then I think he's doing pretty well.
