I love the fact we get to watch as your life has changed. You are no longer the kid that started on KZbin, you are businessman and father who has responsibilities and a family. It is great following you in your life journey. If you just stuck with the silly things, you used to do you probably would have lost a lot of people watching. Good for you and Zoe. Ottie is just adorable. Growing so fast. Love how she knows to hang on to the swing. LOL

The thing is, you content may have changed, but so have we who have sticked around for awhile. The reality of adulthood and parenting is suddenly a reality for your viewers as well. I can’t get over how quick kids grow. My girl is now 26 and it seems like yesterday I was playing with her on the swings. Once you have kids time flies by so fast. Ottie is just adorable and such a little blondie just so cute. Can I just say also love your swings in the UK in Australia we only have like rubber ones with a chain across front. They are quite unstable and if go a little fast baby can fall out. Or if it sways a little same thing. Just love how stable yours are. When the Basil flowers pinch all the flower off to maintain the flavor and stop the plant from dying. Also when your tomatoes show after the flowers you need to stake them so the stalks don’t break as they grow and then fertilize them every week or two. I love we are all growing up together lol.

Great job on the garden! If you sprinkle self-rising flour on the plants it will kill the bugs eating them. (The bugs eat the flour….then explode) Also try nut pods in your coffee-sooo good and dairy free

I will always ♥️ ur vids. Listen as I just turned 50 years old & have b watching both of u since u started, just know that each decade of life starting from 20’s onward truly marks an evolving self discovery. Life is an amazing journey & love & embrace every part of it ; both good & bad bc it’s what’s part of each chapter of ur novel. I’ve always thought that life was my novel -ive made references to the good/bad and labeled it either by chapter name or book one etc.. regardless it’s a process & hopefully u love it as much as I am..

Hey Alfie, I absolutely love yours and Zoe's videos. Been lovely watching you both create such a wonderful family! I'm pregnant and due in December and can't wait for how life is going to change! I have an allotment so can hopefully offer a bit of gardening advice and help... 😊 Tomatoes 🍅 - they can be prone to blight being grown outside, but to reduce your chances make sure you remove lower leaves (any below the tomatoes) and regularly pinch out 'suckers'. Sweetcorn 🌽 - They are usually grown in a bunch i.e. 4 rows of four. This is mainly to help with germination. However I think you'll be fine with two as they look strong! I would just recommend cutting off part of the tassels from one plant and shaking it over the other to help with germination. Cabbage/Cauliflower 🥬 - those little nibbles on your plants are likely to be from caterpillars. Cabbage white butterflies absolutely love brassicas and lay their eggs all over them which then hatch to many caterpillars! I would advise covering them with a net. Cucumbers 🥒 - You will soon need to create a support for your cucumbers as they like to grow upwards. Probably a few canes to create a wigwam should do the job. Hope that helps 😊 my allotment Instagram account is @devongardenlife if you want to check it out. I don't update it loads but I've been on quite a journey with it!! It's my absolute favourite place though, I completely switch off from the outside world when I'm there, I love it! 😊

hey, just a little gardening tip: leave the plants some more space :) they will spread out (especially the cucumbers will explode) and might be too close together ;) It might just look close together on the video, but if not I wanted to point out that there are a lot of articles online that tell you how much apart you should set the plants apart for every vegetable

Tomato plants and cucumbers (I think it’s just those or a few more) before they grow the tomato/cucumber a yellow flower pops up, so the more yellow flowers the more veg ! On one plant
@jessicarivera-chetta73602 жыл бұрын
I use chopped hay to keep from having to weed so much. You can also use wood chips that are natural not cedar etc..to help with weeds. People who fill their beds with tons of plants don't have to weed because as things grow the sun doesn't hit the soil as much so weeds don't grow much (if that makes sense). I love the cover you've used over your lettuce and basil.
@cperi25832 жыл бұрын
Look into weed guard fabric before you plant next time! You lay it out, cut holes where you want to plant, and then the fabric prevents most weeds from coming through.

Remember to pick off the side shoots of the tomato plant. If you do so the tomato is more likely to grow more because then all the nutritions go to the vegetable. Another thing is as it grows up you can pick off the branches on the lower to also boost the growth of tomatoes.

A way of not needing to weed as much, is to have a plastic sheet under all the plants. Essentially, before you added all the soil, you should've put the sheet down. I don't remember if you did that? Basically what I'm saying is that it's too late for this year, but maybe something you can think of for next year

Your vegetables are being eaten by snails and maybe slugs too. Put crushed washed eggshells on the soil around the vegetable plants and they won't walk over the eggshells. Also keep your coffee grounds and sprinkle them on your vegetable patch. A mixture we use here in Malta is banana peels,coffee grounds and eggshells with water. Put it around the vegetables to fertilise the garden. When you water your garden the nutrients will go down to the roots. The results are remarkable

🌱Giving you little tips for a garden🌱on tomatos there is another branch between steam and branch and you should cut it because it takes lots of "vitamins" for the main branch to grow. For cucumbers they will grow realy big and you should give them more space to grow and they like a lot of water just like tomatos and you should water soil only. Cauliflowers are very densely planted.😅 And also raspberry, it grows into a big bush in the future it would be good to transplant it. 🌱Just one farm girl giving you some tips🌱
