Buying Pokemon cards in Japan is such a high end experience. Plus it's like treasure hunting for the most discounted cards XD

The grapes had me dying, Japan’s mid to high end fruit game is hard to explain or comprehend.. just something you gotta experience. Cool to see the pokemon scene somewhere outside the major spots like Akihabara!

Hey Amir, thanks for the format of this vlog, its interesting to see other things in Yokohama aswell as the card shops. My favourite pick up of yours was those Entei cards, really nice and those Sunshine grapes looked good too.

After paying $$ for flights , accom, food & other expenses is it still worth buying cards to sell?
@Dykw93Ай бұрын
If you treat this purely as an investment, of course it's not worth it. Just treat this as an experience with buying cards as an added bonus, you will feel better.

I have a couple of questions if you do not mind. How do you pay for cards when buying in Japan? or are you exchanging pounds into Yen in japan.Also, food, etc. I'm curious as to how easy it is to use a credit card in the stores. I don't see any price negotiations going on. Do the stores not allow that? THanks enjoying your videos.
@AmirCollectsАй бұрын
I use an international card for the best exchange rates such as Wise/Monzo. Negotiations can sometimes happen with independent stores if you're spending a lot. Don't expect large discounts, however. Thanks :)

I was stationed there on and off for a total of 6 years....Not once did I buy Pokémon Cards..... I wasn't collecting till a couple years after I left.....that was 2018. Regret that for sure. Food is so good I miss it and the people are so nice and stores are clean compared to here state side.

It is YokohAma and not YokohOma!!! Sorry, but it feels very disrespectful to not be able to say the name... The name is even printed on so many tires... how can you not pay attention and read it carefully just once?
