I loved watching this! I lived in China for 2 years , but I had no idea that football was so big in the country. Definitely wish I got to watch a game or two .

To think that China has only qualified for a World Cup edition, which was in 2002, yet enough to make them in the same level with the likes of Iraq, Qatar, UAE, Indonesia and Kuwait, should be something to pay attention - especially when both of them have one similarity to China: appearing in just one single World Cup. Yet mismanagement and poor strategy prevented China, as well as Iraq, Qatar, UAE, Indonesia and Kuwait, from ever becoming greater. In case of China, it has infrastructure to the world's standard, but it lacks organic developments for young kids. Note that South Korea and Japan have similar problems, but they have overcome well by good scouting and strong encouragement of management systems combining both sporting and educational purposes. If China can find the way to combine both educational purposes for its sporting dreams, it may become even better.

They definitely have the stadiums and fans. Hopefully they can develop their players more. Thanks for checking out the video

very important comment. not to mention that this one and only time China qualified to a World Cup only happened because South Korea and Japan were automatically qualified since they were hosting the championship. I wonder if China - as much as the US or more recently the arab countries - lack this cultural passion for football. China does have infrastructure and money to invest, much more than Brazil, Argentina and other south american and african countries; yet, even poor and lacking investments, these countries discover world class players every now and then because here (in Brazil) we pretty much live, incorporate football since we're very young kids. despite missing investments, we have amazing players. I think that's what's necessary to China and other countries to really go further in the sport. According to your video, seeing all those fans and the way they're organized, it seems China is developing this football culture in its own way...

In China, this barren land of football, there are also these loyal fans who are crazy about their team. Although the atmosphere is not as good as that in South America and Europe and the restriction and opression from the government, I can feel their passion is just as strong. Spectacular effort for making this video!!

lmao, if you want to see Chinese football culture, go see a game in Dalian, Meizhou, Chengdu, or even the Guizhou village super league (cunchao). Qingdao, Dalian, and Meizhou have the strongest football cultures. Jinan lags behind. Chengdu is not bad.
