The fold isn't worth is. They always leave a blurry line where the screen folds and there's no way that you can avoid it happening. Only way to fix it is to have the screen replaced and then the new screen will do exactly the same thing

As an emergency doctor, S-pen is really helpful in taking notes rapidly, saving them and dealing with them later, dealing with links and page-cuts from studies or scores...etc.. it's not useless at all! It's useless to whom has no use from it!

@@bhavindina I've done 2 battery changes and one protective screen replacement in the 7 years I've had my Note 4. The reason it broke was because of some sort of "Software malfunction". It just randomly stopped charging and wouldn't turn on. The only explanation I got was that it was no longer running on compatible software. Good luck with yours and hopefully you don't experience similar problems to what I did.

I’m sure you’re aware, but in case you’re not remember the original S Note with Action Memo, Photo Note, Easy Chart, Idea Sketch, Scrapbook etc. is gone and replaced with an inferior app, Samsung Notes. It’s quite disappointing! Don’t get me wrong, I think my Note 10+ is better than my Note 4 was by far. I just really miss that suite of apps that I personally think is probably the best suite of utility apps there was. Enjoy your new phone when you get it!

I'm a chemistry lecturer and I've used Note 2 and currently a Note 9 user. I use my Note 9 to teach students and the S-Pen makes that process so smooth. For example, I've ditched the conventional whiteboard for LiveBoard app and I use S-Pen to write on my Note 9 and my students can see that written on their phones.

There's nothing like having the S-PEN. A lot of stuff you can't copy with fingers. Again, Samsung's smart select feature is so underrated. Often times, you want to screenshot but bcoz there are limitations and it's not as perfect as smart select. There's this precision you get with the smart select but can't get with normal screenshots. Samsung don't get enough credit for these features. Yes, some users might not really 'need' the SPen so it boils down to what you do with your phone. For now, I'm not using any other phone apart from Samsung Notes until something better comes up. Great video Thao❤️

While I no longer have a note since I bought a Fold, I loved the S-pen. The main things I used it for was highlighting/extracting text like you do, using it with the web browser for clicking links - especially useful for drop down menus on non mobile websites and writing on photos. I work in construction and it was great for taking a picture with details like measurements to email out.

Me four! So many times it comes in handy when you want to take a distant selfie and don't want to bother strangers to do it for you. If you can just place the phone right, then you can snap easily using the s-pen as a remote. Even used it to record a family skit video a short while ago.

I agree about the functionality of s-pen. I can tell that with the right app you don't even feel the need to own a pad. Personally I don't want to have too many devices, the overwhelming of technology is definetely not so effective for today's job. I love my S-pen for the screen off memo and the smart select. What made me love it more is when my family went on a day trip on a snowy mountain, and I didn't want to take off my gloves because it's so cold. I use the Note9 so all I did was unlock with iris scan, take out my s-pen, and start taking pictures without taking off my gloves.

You should have atleast one device with a SPen , it's a life saver when you have to sign and send a document especially when you are on the move , lack time and don't have the ability to print and scan such docs. Just this seemingly limited feature has come to my rescue so many times that now I ensure I have atleast one device with an S Pen or stylus . 🙂

Glad they redesigned the S-pen from older models. I have gone through at least 8 of them by snapping in half. The newer ones seem to be one piece. I haven't had a issue with those. The older S-pens were a problem for many. It seemed like everyone I talked to had that issue, and many in various comments I have read.. :^)

I don't know how to live without the S Pen anymore. I use it a lot to edit pictures, which the finger it is almost impossible. I also use to teach my nieces by sharing my screen and taking notes. I mean, taking notes and pointing in a piece of paper while video calling is just annoying, so directly sharing the screen and writing in S Notes makes long distance education easier. I love the S Pen!

Im a personal trainer and coach, bringing an actual board around for training is the pain in the ass. Thanks to the S pen I can be able to note directly to my calendar, note to my PDF files, and also when I need a quick adjustment for my lession plan I can edit it right away. And for me learning new certification is way way easier. I dont have to carry 700 pages of an actual book around. Just download the textbook to my phone as pdf file and i can started to work w that. Yes, Xodo is the best. I have one Spen combo usage that I don't saw anywhere: I use DeX as my main computer nowadays, connected with a TV and a soundbar. So, when I want to listen music, I use DeX (because soundbar) and use the Spen to control the music from a distance (sofa). It's great!

Good one. As you mentioned in the video, S Pen is more useful for on screen operations like text or screen selection. That can be done with precision. Writing is just limited to a quick screen off memo otherwise pretty inconvenient, leave alone those gimmicky gestures.

Note 10+ is my first Note phone. It took a while to get used to the S Pen. The magnify feature is incredibly useful. Like you, I use it to extract and copy text. I signed my first document a month ago. That was cool. Bottom line, the more I use my phone, the more I use the S Pen. -- And, confession time. -- I love the S Pen so much that, when it came time to replace my tablet last week, I picked up the Tab S6 lite. I like to draw with the S Pen. I wanted a larger surface on which to draw. Yep. Samsung got me. 😁

I use the s-pen in all the ways you do, plus as a mouse, to type on keyboard, adjust volume in videos, pause/play video, camera shutter, quickly open phone (without using power button or signin options) and written notes. GREAT tool. Use it constantly! Hardly ever use my Note without the s-pen.

I use the S pen like in the video, mainly as a mouse. I used Google keep for notes and always dictate. Not totally useless, but not a necessity if you're on a budget.

I can tell you that I am a new user on the Note, switched over from the S line. I am a General Contractor, and I flip houses and work in construction all the time. I have been using an app called Floor Plan Creator. On my older S8+ Edge, i had to use my finger in the app. Well, let me tell you that the S Pen inside this app has made a huge difference. I can get a lot more precise with the drawings/plans, and it is easier to use. Definitely not going back to the S series, and the $1,300 price tag was well worth it. Great video by the way. I'm getting as much information on how to use this phone as possible. Thanks.

I'm a Teacher and a Tutor, so I mainly use the S Pen to record a question being answered, or some question that I need to answer and I don't have pen and paper near me. So, I can't really have a different phone now, because the Note line really saves me in those cases.

I am a funeral director and I am on call 24 hours a day. The S pen is awesome! I can take notes as anywhere while I'm listening to the details on my phone. It's awesome. I can easily call numbers or send emails from the information that I wrote with my S pen.

I work in the oilfields of North Dakota, and one of the things I love about my Note 10+, is that I can use the S-Pen when I have gloves on, or it's raining and my screen is wet. And yes, Smart Select is AWESOME!

Absolutely agree with you... those little things are the reason why i can't leave note series since note 1.... i shift to s7 before but its like a nightmare to me when i need the spen... signing, photo editing, cropping, copying messages and camera shutter and many things. Well hope for a flat screen note. By the way your 1 of the most favorite youtuber of note users! Keep it up and looking forward for more videos!!!

My 1st note was the note 4 Recommended to me by a VA Nerologist. I use the S pen daily and awaiting now for my Note 20 Ultra to arrive. The Note has been such an Amazing useful tool in daily life! Appointments ,shopping, planning and endless uses, like when I am in Costco I will keep track of how much each Item will cost using the S pen so by the time I get to checkout I know how much I will be spending. Before the Note I use to carry around a small Notebook and messy ink pen. The Note phone has saved money in paper and pens over the years! If you use the Note Pen in your daily life it will pay for itself, Especially if you keep Journals! 😉👍

I've just gone from Note 8 to S20 FE 5G, as I hardly ever used the pen, and the Note 20 had random overheating problems. If you want to extract text on screen, such as KZbin comments, you can just use your finger. If the page doesn't let you use your finger, then take a screenshot, crop it around your selected text, then use an app like Text Scanner to extract the text. Yes, I know it's a bit of a faff, but only takes 30 seconds longer than using S Pen. It's fine if you don't need to extract text all the time.

I bought note 8 for the S pen. I use it for instant translation of my emails as they are in Malay language, copy words from pictures, instant nots....and many many things. I am a surgeon...so I use it to show rough diagram and surgery techniques to my students and my patients.

Great tips. Sometimes I use a regular rubber tipped pen that I bought at the dollar store when the S Pen becomes annoying.

The translation function is really useful, especially on a recent china trip. I can read menus by photographing it and then reading it using the spen.

totally agree. it is something that you wont use much but there are times that you will really wish that you have it. so it is definitely a good thing to have and ready to use.

As someone who works in the fast food industry I find it extremely helpful when I need to jot down a quick list of items that I need to stock up on before clocking out. No more making multiple trips back and forth grabbing only what I can put in my short term memory

I don't use the S pen regularly, but it comes very useful at times when I have to sign a document for work or take important notes. I can quickly open a file, sign it and send it back on the spot. No need to print and scan.
