My uncle was a Navy Flight surgeon who rarely went to sea. Now, I understand what he did. He was the guy who communicated with the ship. Larger ships like aircraft carriers and distroyers have doctors on board. Shore personnel like my uncle have to serve on a ship early on so that they know what's going on there.

I think about the possibility of injury on a ship because you stress it in every vireo. I never gave much thought about illness though. I guess that because you have very little contact from people not on your ship, the chance for an illness is low.

Are medical officers trained how to administer it? - Is it standard procedure for crew members trained and certified in CPR? - If patient must be evacuated to a hospital in a foreign country, are there special emergency customs procedures for getting him admitted into that country?

I really think the shipping world requires a revolution,like a ship only contains a team of 25 peolpe , they should extend it to atleast 2 people for one job and other add other crew too like certified doctors and trained security teams, it's a must needed and i still don't understand why companies are not getting this? Someone who's is the ship for 6 months would definitely get sick atleast once ! Merchant navy requires revolution, karan sir please do something about it , otherwise no one would join this profession in future !
