I have an offer now for the Maldives and kept declining offers there this year. The reasons I declined were the sheer numbers of women who have been sexually harrased while working in maldivian resorts or forced by managers to date local politicians. Than the accommodation in the maldives is mostly always shared unlike Europe where you can get a single room if you're in the entertainment department and there's no dress code either. That sharia law over there is a killer. The resort that wants to take me now asked me to wear a Muslim swimsuit on the beach lol. Bro. We don't ask them in Europe to remove the burka. Aside from this ...the scariest thing for me in the Maldives is obviously harassment. Did you experience this in the resort where you worked?

yes it was!! i found the job opening on jobs Maldives and sent an email to the HR then received an email back confirming for a Skype interview. i see your comment has been posted a while ago so did u end up applying?!

yep it’s allowed!! you can hang around the island but you’ll def get looks from colleges haha and you aren’t allowed to go to each others rooms!
