I was a bit on the fence with Zeke changing sides into the season. At first, I preferred him as the leader of the Marley side and not like Reiner who doesn’t know who he wants to fight for. After his backstory episode though, I am on board. The writers and Isayama have done a great job at writing Zeke.

I think that's one of the things this anime does so well, and at least for me, the main reason I like it so much. Right or wrong, good or bad is mostly all a matter of perspective and everyone have their own reasons and perspective for doing what they do - as a viewer we see the whole picture now which makes it difficult to take sides really especially when you see why they chose the paths they did (or sometimes forced to take the paths).

@@grooz5463 yea true i like aot for this reason too...it changed our point of view so much, first we thought titans were another race against humans, slowly we learned they were used as weapons and then we saw it from the outside world's perspective too in season 4 part 1...i know the rest too since i read the manga but i will not say it because you might not be manga reader We learned everything in the series in the same way our main characters did, we didnt know less or more than them and thats the amazing key of the attack on titan story

Yea I wasn't a fan of Zeke either. Anyone trying to kill their own race and themselves is an idiot. Can't relate at all to his ideals, but I'm a strong willed person so I guess that's why Zeke doesn't resonate with me, he's too weak.

As you said yourself, he literally seeks to eliminate his entire race, and he sticks with it until Eren betrays him. he remains steadfast in his beliefs, willing to make personal sacrifices and endure hardships to achieve his objective. He is truly willing to go against his own comrades, and put them in danger. He betrayed both Eldia and Marley, just to achieve his goal. It's not that you're 'strong willed' it doesn't have anything to do with that lmao

​​@@C120.I am not against his plan of eradication of his race by mass neutering, but his actions in previous seasons were insanely atrocious. And he NEVER felt sorry. Even when Eren attack Marley Zeke attacked Eldians even though he is "on their side" which Levi rightfully noticed and condemned, and Zeke just played it off. While I feel sorry for Zeke's childhood he is a monster of a human being. So many died because of his downright monstrous deeds and he never flinched. Compare that to Reiner, who was just a dumb kid but almost outed himself because of his grief. And it's not like if Reiner didn't attack some other operation wouldn't happen and it would have the same result.
