I don’t want to see anyone say the problem is sbc, game modes, promo or pack weight that’s the main issue. The main issue is GAMEPLAY. End of conversation. I’m sick and tired of watching a game continue to be destroyed because of the lack of focus on the main priority. All the other things should always be secondary. It’s the reason why we are in a position why gameplay isn’t even important to the development team. Their only concern is making “Promos” and “SBC” right? As that’s what we demand? It’s a joke and we should look ourselves in the mirror and see we are the problem at this point. The fact we complained it was easy to pack players last year and now it’s harder is so evident that we don’t know what we want as a community. What we need is a fast responsive, fluid, and manual game with a good attacking Ai that doesn’t just make straight runs straight to the defender that are brainless runs. what we need is the old system where they would actively find space to attack. What we need in defending is more manual interceptions and improvement agility. Now you’ve fixed the responsiveness of the game from dribbling to passing, shooting, defending and Ai runs which rewards the decision of the players that reads the game faster. That discredits the point of having high rated cards because now the game is at a state where you can use more cards because it’s more about the user rather than the RNG aspect interruption and what feels like manipulation sometimes. And that there is a balanced games Sorry for the long rant but it had to be said. If any one with other suggestion please add

True. Bro I played seasons and online friendlies today with my friends and the game play was way smoother and faster compare to ultimate team. It felt like a completely different game. I think the problem is with ultimate team and I’m not sure ea knows how to fix it. And you’re right we need to focus on gameplay and stop talking about packs. If we have a good gameplay we’ll do a lot more with average teams and not complain

I have been playing video games since the 1980s and can say without hesitation that this is the worst video game I have ever played in my life. I'm on the verge of qutting, been playing FIFA since 2015 and this year is almost unbearable. It's simply NOT fun, to come home from working 9 hours, have dinner, put away dishes, etc... and then log into this game. It's dreadful and the patch only made it worse IMO.

I really feel like i have no control of my players, made it into div 1, whenever i pass and my player takes a touch, the animations are too slow and by the time my player has stabilized my opponent has already pressed me and i have to make a pass and repeat this cycle, and on defence i feel like the game punishes you for defending manually, whenever i make a tackle or interception with my cursor player, the ball just rebounds to the opponent. Just adjusting my cb's position and switching to player behind the ball is the way to go as my cb will automatically tackle him which is absolutely terrible for the skill gap. The mechanics which take the most skill are actually AI assisted ( Offside Trap, Press, and tackling) which makes the skill gap so small and makes the game unplayable in higher as everybody can offside trap and press by adjusting a simple slider.

Really is a shame what this game has become, last few years have surely been rough for Fifa but this year it has hit an all time low. Can't remember a game I've played where I've truly felt as if my opponent is just higher skill level than me and I deserved the loss. Just a few years ago on Fifa 23 I can remember loading into a champs game and facing an insane opponent using Jairzinho and Garrincha and I felt if he was completely untouchable when he had the ball with his forwards and I was useless trying to defend. I don't even get excited to use high rated or expensive players anymore because there is no dribbling or skilling in this game. What made me fall in love with this game was the ability to skill and dribble around and completely dismantle the opponent with pure skill. This year the only way to score goals is to spam passes and hope something goes your way. There is no skill gap in this shit game I think it is time I officially lay it down to rest and hope that next year EA come out with a better product.

Everything they've done in FC25 is forcing the pay to win. Hence why they made it 3 wins in 5 in fut champs qualifiers, 45 points in rivals. It's so competitive that people struggle to qualify for champs, go to the store to buy packs hoping it helps. This last week & half for me has been stressful in rivals & fut champs & I've been rewarded with absolute tripe & no fodder. Like what's the actual point 😂 I don't understand why they are so greedy.

Honestly, i think the poor game play is forcing people to play at a higher level, the noobs who are you used to playing arcade football are now having to learn to release R2 when receiving the ball, be patient before making the pass to your striker who's offside, manually having to create forward runs etc. I don't find the game particularly fun to play, because each game is so demanding.

In fairness, 'noobs' would enjoy this game more. Fast and arcade requires the mind to work fast and adapt. This year's game is what EA thought would hold the casuals as it is, in essence, easier to play. No hate on you, but people who claim real football is what makes top players worse is just wrong. I agree. This iteration of Fifa is a combination of horrific gameplay and content that is much worse than previous years. It genuinely feels like EA is deliberately trying to kill the game. I just don't understand it. The way they're going about objectives, the way they are changing sbc's so traders can't make coins, the types of players theyre bringing in for SBC, objective players that nobody will ever use, broken evolutions and so much more. I could go on and on and on about how shambolic this game really is, but it will sound repetitive. Absolutely no desire to play the game in November which has never happened to me before. Not even a half decent menu grind. The thing that is the most mindblowing is how bad the Season Pass is. EA could make 1000 mistakes but as long as they have a very good season pass, people will play the game. Had there been a good reward waiting for us at the end I am sure many of us would still be playing FIFA 16 and 17 were good games in my opinion. I honestly didn't mind 20 because the content was so good

I think one of the main problems is the slow start, since fifa 17 18 we weren't bothered about promos and shiny new cards every week, but ea have basically made us all like spoiled kids, expecting meta cards and sbcs every week, they are the cause of their own downfall, not to mention this years game is still in beta, just give us a finished product instead of 100 patches each season, they definatley have the money and recourses to make somthing special but just seem to piss us off with money grabbing instead

i would say my favourites were fifa 17 and 18. The gameplay was so much better and i remember that i struggled a lot and got frustrated playing against people who were very good with the left stick dribbling. So i had to improve my defending. I played against friends who were so much better than me and one of them was a very good skiller (back then being a skiller meant something). so i had to learn how to defend properly and i got pretty decent at it. As time went on i even got more creative in attack. So i went from being a gold 3 player to be somewhere between elite 3 and elite 2. I was so proud of myself and it felt like i have accomplished something. + the rewards felt rewarding atleast for me. Now nobody is even trying to get better. Nobody is defending themselves. No creativity in the attack. people are just blindly spamming the same shit over and over again. i cant tell the difference between div 4 and div 1. Apart from the gameplay i feel like there are too many cards/promos in this game. i remember that people got orgasms looking at cards with all 80 face stats. we are in november and all 80 stat cards are going for discard price.

I played someone during WL all they done was powershot or trivela from 25+ yards out and when they weren’t doing that it was speed boost after speed boost. Messaged them afterwards to ask if they enjoyed just doing that, they had no idea. It’s just normalised now that this is how the game is meant to be played. I dont mind at all that there is no SBMM or big rewards in Rush. It's a casual mode and it should stay that way. I think the mode is great but there are still some adjustments that should be done. It has to be shorter because it isn't called Rush for a reason. So either reduce the time to 4 minutes because the cutscenes take a few seconds as well or when a team scores 7 goals it should be over immediately. That makes it a lot better to play in also for Evo's. EA should also remove players if they rubber band. So either they should have a notification system when someone is outside the field for 20s or something they should be kicked. Same with players that are standing still. With these adjustments Rush would be so much better.

After two years rinsing FIFA 23 and enjoying every wasted second of my existence playing it, this has burgled most of £60 + sheets. In two seasons as Charlton Athletic I couldn't score one header (did they change d-pad directional science?), couldn't score from one corner (they removed the fast pass option to edge of box for outlandish volleys top bin), was not awarded a single penalty, didn't lash one free kick in (fifa 05 had best free kicks), and all youth players were bastard ugly. Had to play in semi-pro mode to squeeze any type of pleasure from this. Flogging it soon, going back to '23 jog off

FIFA 12 to 15 was the best year's for me. I would go back to those games in a heart beat. Using players like gold Samir Nasri for month's on end. There appears to be far to many animations! You switch sides, by the time the player has controlled the ball brought it down you are suffocated 🤷🏻‍♂️ and yes the most agile players feel horribly when dribbling, it feels like you are only 40% in control of your player! Even trying to turn your back to protect the ball the player will randomly face the defender!! Even with your back to the defender they can take the ball!! 🤷🏻‍♂️ also the same 2/3 goals are scored again and again and again!!

I think this is because of playstyles. When it was introduced, it was basically the game playing for you if your card has a certain playstyle. Took away from individual skill. Now, it's all about getting a card with some killer playstyle.

I've been playing old gen since 23 this fifa is the worst and i believe new gen is better, the passes hardly go to the target and the pace is awful balon d'or mbappe getting caught by 77 pace defenders, your defence just opens up for the opposition to pass through. packs are broken too, 2 x84+ players, i got a 83 and 82. try draft offline too, when you get man city the whole team huddles at the corner flag for the whole game, when the game ends you get kicked from the game and it goes down as a loss, has happened about 5 times now, happens every time you get city in the final game

Never felt so miserable playing a computer game, like you said, it's more like a chore to play it, I've been playing fifa since 00's. Seeing how bad this game is now and how it plays is everything that you've said, it's not fun, not enjoyable, there's nothing actually wanting me to play it but I play it because I want it to be a good game again. EA have to be the worst company in history with how bad they are in terms to their player base, the packs in the store are so over priced not to mention how lucky you have to be to get someone good, I dropped £60 x2 just to have enough fodder to do the icon SBC's. That's a total of £120 just for 2 players and there's no guarantee of getting anyone good, it's gambling at it's worst but this is where EA have everyone by the balls because most of us like that gambling addiction adrenaline that we get, you wither get a good player and feel you've won or you get a unusable player, feel like you've lost and get pissed off because the reality is you've just spent alot of money and got no good outcome from it, this never ever should be a thing in a game but this is how it is. A game is meant to be enjoyable, it is not meant to leave you feeling mentally drained, angry, miserable and just tired of the same old boring gameplay time after time. I really want this game to be good I really do but I feel the only way EA will listen is when we hit them with a full on mass player protest where nobody is buying FP and nobody is playing nomore, I feel that a complete start from fresh for this game is the best solution to get it to where it used to be, just completely start over and have a better game that for us loyal players who are funding this company and that's the problem, we fund this company to exist and they do not care about us. They make there money, that's all that matters to them. We need to collectively stop spending money, find a big big influencer to go to EA HQ and put it to them in person that we all are fed up and tired of this game and it needs to be better and find a way to help each other, we get a better game, EA respects us and in return we will play the game because it's actually good and addictive that we'll wanna play that's the feeling I want again with this game...I really hope to see EA give us a better game otherwise someone else needs tp come along and destroy EA company

The centre of the pitch is just ridiculously congested no matter what slider's you use. The so called tackle button is literally no effective, Its literally impossible to score, the AI is just cutbacks, cutbacks all the bloody time

This game has become so banal that now, in any situation, the best solution is just to hit the goal. Forget about combinations, passes, beautiful goals, your clumsy players will most likely just lose the ball

In the FUT Champs era Fifa 17 and 18 were top tier for me. at least in those games you can play however u wanted to play even if your style is behined the curve in terms of meta at least you can execute it and push and win YOUR way whereas in this game its impossible.

FIFA 19 drove me to the edge of insanity but I still had a lot of fun playing it at the same time…. FIFA 20 is my worst ever title, there was silky smooth dribbling at the start & then everyone seems to forget that January patched that nerfed the dribbling to oblivion & changed the gameplay completely… you had to relearn the gameplay from the ground up. No one can’t deny this years offering is bad but that’s because the menu’s have been holding up the game for the last few years. 23 (minus the inconsistent gameplay) has been the best gameplay, I played for the whole year but after that they’ve took massive steps backwards. They do it on purpose, they could easily make the perfect football game but they wouldn’t be able to improve on the next iteration so they gate keep the experience year after year to prolong the best experience possible. We all know that’s the brutal truth.

After 26 years of fifa I’m done now. It’s desperately sad because it’s my favourite game but I can’t bring myself to do it anymore. The game is unfinished and the only area of the game that actually works is the store. Says it all about EA. I’m taking my loyalty and going elsewhere.

Totally agree, I gave up already on that, since new gen the games have been totally unplayable, to many animations, always Inconsistent gameplay one game feels more less but then you get 5 were you can’t even move, attacking ai was killed on fifa 19 since then it’s brain dead, defense ai getting better every year, for me still 25 is the worst game ever second worst is 24 and third is 19, best are fifa 17 and 18

I'm so sad that I bought a PS5 for FC24... I only play FIFA. But I'm not good enough to play the new gen version. Also this year. So I'm stuck to the PS4 version and wasted such a lot of money for the new console:(

They could easily do a pro clubs tournament , and pro clubs is how it should be done. I’ll make a video explaining it one day. Also they have done LAN events on pro clubs and it went well. Super easy makes more sense than any other game mode by far. Football is a team game not 1v1

Agree with everything except 2 points, the game is not slow, real football is atleast 10× slower, I think EA tried to make it realistic and failed miserably, 2nd left stick dribble isn't the core of fifa, have been playing fifa since 2000 and left stick was something new which wasn't needed

Best to just play less but sometimes it's so hard to control yourself, that's why it's good to have other activities outside this game especially outdoor activities because this game can destroy your mentally healthy, especially on new gen the game is bad.....

I think the problem is not with EA alone but the whole football development as well, we are seeing top teams no longer relying on individual talents but more on tactics and formation. And this is the first year we are probably feeling this change most becoz we all know the best dribbling players we loved like c7, messi, and Neymar are all incompetent to perform what they used to now, so I think EA is sort of trying to reflect this and chase up the actual sport trend to make it more a passing and formation oriented game than it was. Of coz this is not what most of us would like, just as most of dun like watching pep’s game but he still wins and as a sport game you kinda have to reflect some of these crucial changes in this sport, despite everyone’s opinion. I believe ea fc26 will still be the same shit, we just maybe have to get used to a new FUT that have three to four in game formation changes to get good in the game and forget those fancy dribbling style until maybe another neymar arrives (dun ever mention vini is as good to me) that change football again.
