Swift isn’t that good in pass protection . This is a big reason gainwell saw the majority of pass plays . Henry is great all around , but not much of a receiver . Henry is bigger , faster , and absolutely more durable . I get why people don’t want him , because he’s “old” but swift has been in the league for 4 years ; Henry 8 . The difference is Henry has 9500 yards and 90 tds and has a 4.7 ypc career average . All this while running behind an offense that had no passing game , and an offensive line that ranks 15-20th throughout his career !. Imagine teams knowing you’re gonna run and not being able to stop it .. with the birds o line , he could easily eclipse 1500 again , if Moore commited to running the football in 24’

My take on this is another Sirianni mistake as far as personnel. Watkins and Gainwell are his his guys and the offense was stagnant to a point that additional carries were taken from Swift as well as BScott. If the offensive Coaches had an ounce of creativity Swift would've been in the slot and Scott in motion to create mismatches but the inexperienced showed with BJohnson and the stubbornness of Sirianni. The Blue print for success was already in place and just needed to be expanded but wasn't. Their lies the issues and Sirianni is on a short leash

However, Swift was terrible in pass pro that’s why Gainwell had to get snaps bc he was the best blocker of all the RBs. Swift’s blocking limits the playbook. Opposing defenses blitz at a higher rate when Swift was out there bc he was so bad at picking up blitz to point where it really didn’t really matter whether tried to pickup protection or not.

Talk like this is the enigma! Seeing Swift shine is Roseman's intentions and it's obvious Lurie cares about him too. I do think people are on to the Eagles looking for a power running prototype RB but it'll be interesting in the upcoming Draft moreso. I think if the Eagles aren't looking at the 2 RBs that excelled as Power Rushers than we insert the pessimism. South Dakota State's Isaiah Davis is a solid addition if Boston Scott doesn't return and so is Braelon Allen. Make NO mistake, Swift is the Duo rather than anyone else on Roster!

Sometimes I wonder if Roseman values any of the great players we have. Swift should be kept and given the opportunity to play and show what he can do. It seems best to me to keep the team together and let them play. Don't punish players for front office mistakes.

Actually there was this guy named Demarco Murray that Chip Kelly gave a 5yr 40mil deal to with 21mil guaranteed if my memory serves me correct from a divisional rival and that was a nightmare, along with Byron Maxwell, trading Shady for Kiko Alonzo and who could forget giving up Foles after a record setting season plus a 2nd rounder for Sam Bradford! But you know what Howie Roseman did? He used Murray, Maxwell and Kiko to move all the way up to #2 overall and grab Wentz, who without we never win our lone SB and then Dougie P and Howie did him dirty and ruined him imo, that aside he also traded Bradford to the Vikings Carson's rookie year for their 1st rd pick! I know I'm going on and on but we need to trust in Howie and let him do his thing. Ever since that Reagor over JJettas pick he's been solid overall and I'm grateful for him
