I agree that life is becoming so difficult in Canada. But Canada is not an exception. Everywhere in the world, people are struggling although not uniform. If there’s a country that is better than Canada, good luck. For me, Canada is second to none. As a social science expert, I evaluate Canada in multifaceted lens and there’re plenty of reasons to love Canada. This country is the most beautiful country on the planet. Just work hard to make changes in communities.

Thanks for sharing, I always wonder how an adult will be thinking that once they move to a new country they will become rich overnight, life is a step by step, is like starting afresh so sometimes it takes time to build those things, and please get rid of the false expectations. As for the toasting, they have their own way of doing it, you don’t just see a random person on the street and start professing love, the person could charge you for an assault.

Honestly for me when I hear people complaining about high taxes there, I tell them that at least you can see that the taxes are being put to good use. Such as driving on good roads, having constant electricity, free good public schools, government subsidies etc. Compared to here where taxes are increasing yet government officials are blatantly stealing, don't care about the development of the country, constantly driving on bad roads and such. For me, that's a good trade off. Something has to give.

Mimi, I envision marrying a woman as wonderful as you are. I come from a Congolese family, but I was raised in Canada (Toronto, Ontario). It frustrates me that newcomers to this country often have to begin their lives anew. Despite my family and I living here for 34.5 years, I can't help but feel that Canada has lost some of its allure as a destination. The cost of living is high, and upward mobility seems challenging. Small businesses don't receive adequate support from the government, and it feels like everything we earn and spend is heavily taxed. Indeed, the cost of housing is a significant issue in Toronto and many other major Canadian cities. The disparity between housing prices in Canada and the United States can be quite puzzling. A house that is priced at 1.5 million CAD in Toronto may be available for as low as $300 thousand USD in certain areas of the United States. There are several factors that contribute to this stark contrast in housing prices between the two countries: 1. **Housing Market Dynamics:** The demand and supply dynamics of the housing market in each country play a crucial role. Toronto, as a major Canadian city and a popular destination for immigrants and investors, experiences a high demand for housing. Limited supply and increasing demand lead to higher prices. In contrast, some areas in the United States may have a surplus of housing or lower demand, leading to more affordable prices. 2. **Economic Conditions:** Economic factors such as GDP growth, employment rates, and overall economic stability can impact housing prices. Canada and the United States have different economic conditions that can influence the affordability of housing in each country. 3. **Interest Rates and Mortgage Policies:** Differences in interest rates and mortgage lending policies can affect the affordability of housing. Lower interest rates in the United States, for example, might make it more attractive for people to buy homes, which can drive up demand and influence prices. 4. **Regional Disparities:** Both Canada and the United States are vast countries with diverse regions. Housing prices can vary significantly from one region to another based on factors such as population density, local economy, and amenities available. 5. **Currency Exchange Rates:** Fluctuations in exchange rates between the Canadian dollar (CAD) and the US dollar (USD) can also contribute to the differences in housing prices when comparing the two countries. It's essential to understand that the housing market is complex and influenced by a multitude of factors. While the price difference between Canadian and US housing markets may seem puzzling, it is a result of the interplay of various economic and social factors in each country.

I wasn't aware that immigrants made so much money in their homeland that to take a low playing job is such a slap in the face. I can't imagine leaving my well paying job to move to a frozen place where nothing awaits me but labour work. I wonder if immigrants disgruntled over the wage drop would be tempted to organize into theft rings while delivering goods to privileged people, marking the goods "delivered" then selling them elsewhere to make up the income difference.

Comprehension is always important when listening to someone. Yes a lot of immigrants are not poor contrary to the believe. IRCC wants each Canadian PR to have at least $17,000 as fund before they get visa. I’m not sure a lot of people in Canada have that amount. Skilled immigrants lawyers, doctors,I.T professionals are only willing to migrate to make MORE money not to work as laborers. If they get to Canada and realize that there is no job for them…they leave. Skilled immigrants that leaves are not same as refugees or people that are illegal pls note the difference. The criteria to come to canada as a skilled immigrant is too much for such a person to result to “theft” -You have to be educated and have a masters degree - You need $17,000 minimum - Must have work experience of at least 3yrs - Must pass IELTS test - Pass a criminality test - Pass a medical test The list goes on As for the “thieves or theft” that you well curated I’m not sure how thieves works but I guess you know that better.

You basically came to this page to pass insults which is typical of you. Why would you attribute theft to immigrants alone in such descriptive narrative. Go sort your grudge out elsewhere.

@@lolarufai9641 clearly she commented with an agenda. I don’t think she even watched the video because if she did, she would have seen that I didn’t blame any of the reason on Canada rather the individual who probably did not set the right expectation before coming.

The irony is that many of Canada’s current problems stem from the fact that Canada is allowing way too many immigrants, especially refugees, into Canada! The bottom line is that Canada really needs severely decrease legal immigration (and a near ban on refugees!) for awhile so the economy can grow and re start serving the interests of the people already here!
