For me a game I come back to is Serious Sam 2. Mostly and unknown game but my mum introduced me to at a young age and it sticks with me. The atmosphere in older games due to their graphics is something I'm nostalgic for. Great video glad to see you still here :)

My 5.4GB installation of OG skyrim which ran at 30FPS in my old PC turned into a modded 110GB installation for Skyrim SE for PC which barely runs at 20FPS in my new PC Mods (over 400 by now, some redundant, most not): - Graphic overhauls - Bug fixes - Better AI for NPCs - Patches - Better AI for enemies - More bug fixes - ENBs - Even more bug fixes - Animation remakes - Parallax textures - Did I mention bug fixes?

Same, I love Skyrim even if all the Skyrim gaming I do nowadays is 12 hours of modding and testing and 2 hours actually playing before stopping for a year because I got tired of the 12 hours of modding. Your videos are great, that Session video made me give it a go. You should play Kenshi, I think you'll like it(just don't spend like 100 hours playing it in a single week like I did when I first got it please).

Just hopped back into Skyrim to finally finish getting all the achievements, for some reason the Daedric quest one never worked on any of my saves. You really summed up why it's a somewhat "perfect" game. It's so easy to come back to and replay, and it always makes me think of better times :')

Probably have like 2000+ hours on Skyrim ranging from the 360 to now, and booting it up in VR for the first time and getting to look up at that night sky over Whiterun with me own wee eyes was a more fulfilling experience than any other game could give. Soundtrack wise, Starfield has some immaculate pieces too. Should give "Unity" and "Rebirth" a listen x

I played Skyrim on VR but I'm so accustomed to visual mods and reshades and whatever that I just couldn't get into it with VR. I got some physics mods and it was fun but any visual mods already affected my playthrough way too much for it to be enjoyable, and then it was back to B&S to satisfy my fantasy VR needs. Starfield has an amazing soundtrack but it's so mid. My favourite part of the game was when I got to Neon City because I could finally just do some quests without having to watch 20 cutscenes of my ship launching, docking, undocking, jumping and landing, but even then I got a loading screen when going to the second floor of a club that I could get to with my jetpack, no need of any loadings. Couldn't really finish it because of these things

Interesting perspective! A lot of the things you said could apply to my vanilla wow experience (yes I’m a AN OLD 😂) It seems playing a game just at the right age, the right time kinda bonds you with it. I will always go back to vanilla every one and then and think to myself what a magical and wonderful place this is, even though there are objectively much better games out there now.

In 2019-2020 i did my FULL playthrough of skyrim. I did probably about 75% of the game, and all before i had made a visit to the greybeards(i just didnt want to climb the steps and next thing i know im fighting the ebony warrior) then i played elden ring and now skyrim seems so primitive that i cant get enjoyment from "spam attack until you are near death so you can pause and drink potions. Its a little disheartening bc skyrim was always there to go back to but now i cant stand it

Skyrim was amazing but also it gets super lame (like any game with enough time) imho. I am happy for you and love that you are still getting gameplay out of it but I couldn't. I've done everything in the game multiple times. Played with all the mods you can imagine. That game is dead to me. Hopefully ES6 go even harder, I will for sure buy it. Hopefully ES6 is not another starfield lol.
