Aristotle begins the Nicomachean Ethics by discussing means and ends, something everyone is familiar with. After realizing that our ends are usually sought after in pursuit of another end, Aristotle finds happiness to be the exception. Happiness is an end that we do not seek for the sake of something else but rather for itself ultimately. Aristotle then explores what happiness is, discussing virtuous activity and external goods.

Great explanation of the foundations of Aristotle's ethics! Aristotle is very based as far as I'm concerned. I sometimes wonder if he was the guy who got this whole ethics thing right in the first place. I really enjoy reading the new testament, Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Aurelius, and others, but at times I think maybe I should just reread the Nicomachean ethics.

End goal of end goals? Manifest beauty for no other reason than to manifest beauty. I got nothing deeper. Draw to manifest greater beauty. Play music and sing to manifest greater beauty. Become immortal to keep manifesting greater beauty. That's all I got for myself.

Why is your channel considered Western propaganda in People's Korea? Do you not support a state that encourages healthy communal life and a cultivation of virtues by making sure material needs are met and people educated in comradery?
